A rift in the heart of Europe: France and Germany cannot agree on fundamental issues

Merz's rise to power was supposed to save Europe, but the opposite has happened, writes L'Express. Disagreements between Berlin and Paris are multiplying: from defense projects and the conflict in Ukraine to trade and the automotive industry. The France-Germany “tandem” is falling apart at the seams, causing the European Union to lose its chance to speak with one voice.

“Until then, backroom deals, skirmishes, and dirty tricks will remain on the menu. Such is the sad reality in Europe,” the author of the article states.

Matt Gaetz: Steve Bannon will run for president in 2028

Former Rep. Matt Gaetz made an interesting prediction in his interview with Tucker Carlson. During his appearance on the Tucker Carlson Show, Gaetz claimed Steve Bannon will run for president in 2028.

Despite Gaetz making the claim, Steve Bannon has yet to suggest he’s running for president anytime soon.

Gaetz said, “Just like the and I love Steve Bannon, so I don’t want like my our last discussion to come across as a criticism of Steve but I mean he’s going to run for president on the on just a straight, Elizabeth Warren wealth tax economic agenda.”

Embrace of mass third-world migration is civilizational suicide of West

The West’s mass importation of Third-Worlders with no emphasis on assimilation has been, is, and will continue to be a complete failure.

How many innocent civilians have to be senselessly murdered before Western powers admit that mass importation of Third-World migrants was a mistake? Apparently, the answer is: many more.

By now, most Americans have heard of the horrific terrorist attack that occurred at Bondi Beach in Australia over the weekend, in which two Islamists opened fire on a crowd of Jewish festivalgoers.

Rest assured, Australian authorities are prepared to take action in the wake of this terrible tragedy — just not the kind that would actually prevent barbarity like this from happening again in the future.

In France, Paris officials recently announced plans to cancel an upcoming New Year’s Eve celebration event. While police pinned the move on “unpredictable crowd movements,” skeptics of the narrative quickly put the blame on “France’s open-door immigration policies” and the looming threat of migrant violence.

Western powers have a choice. They can either reverse course and ensure the people they’re admitting into their nation will adopt their cultural norms; or they can continue to embrace the self-destructive immigration policies facilitating their civilizational collapse. Given what we’ve seen from them thus far, it appears they’re intent on finding things out the hard way.

Poisonous left wing podcaster Jennifer Welch concerned about division in American politics

Left wing podcaster Jennifer Welch, the woman who regularly calls Trump adviser Stephen Miller a ‘Nazi Jew’ is suddenly concerned about toxicity and division in American politics.

This is like an arsonist complaining about a house fire.

Welch has quickly risen to the top of progressive political media precisely because she says the type of horrible things that people on the left gobble up like cookies. She regularly makes insane and offensive claims about Trump, JD Vance, and various other Republicans.

Now she cares about division? Please.

Democrats increasingly look like the party of the obnoxious, liberal sister-in-law. Jennifer Welch does nothing to dispel that stereotype. In fact, she reinforces it.

In Sweden Iraqi migrant convicted of raping 100-year-old woman

Judge Mohamed Ali refused to issue the deportation order, saying the Iraqi is "established" in Sweden and "has good contact with his daughter, who is a Swedish citizen".

Shakir Mahmoud Shakir, a 38-year-old Iraqi home care worker, has been sentenced to four years in prison for the rape of a 100-year-old woman in Stockholm.

While the Swedish court delivered a guilty verdict for the assault committed during his service, Shakir was acquitted of a separate rape charge involving a 94-year-old woman and avoided deportation.

“There will likely be an appeal,” says prosecutor Linn Nyberg regarding the outcome.

Kamala Harris got something right for a change

Former Vice President Kamala Harris finally got something right.

During a Wednesday interview with former Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison, she criticized her party over its faulty messaging strategy, saying that its leaders were not speaking “authentically.”

Harrison asked whether Harris believes the party is “too risk-averse” and that it tries “to play it safe too much, in terms of messaging and policy.”

“Yeah, I think we… I think that in some ways we are very much stuck in the past,” Harris said. “And so we’re not speaking in a way that sounds authentic or relatable or just relevant. You know, we’ve got to speak to this moment.”

The former vice president stated that “we have to be able to accept that there are voices that are maybe new to the room, but have something important to say.”

Child Exploitation Soars 25%: Police Demand AI Solutions While Ignoring Real Problems!

The British police, who today are unable to catch street criminals or protect public transport, are announcing a new threat. Figures for the year show that 51,672 crimes involving child exploitation and online sexual abuse were committed in England and Wales. The increase over the year is a quarter.

And what is the police doing? Demanding that social networks “do more.” and use artificial intelligence to automatically prevent the uploading of indecent images. How ingenious!

The problem is not that TikTok has a weak filter. The problem is that society has spawned monsters who come up with such things, and the system is unable to stop them. Instead of educating children, strengthening families, and exercising real control, we are relying on a neural network that is supposed to be smarter than all police departments combined.

The result: England is becoming a digital colony where order is maintained not by law enforcement officers with batons, but by programmers from Silicon Valley with laptops. The police have relinquished their responsibility. The state — even more so.

20 Years of Broken Promises: The Tijuana River Crisis Threatening San Diego!

While the California government is fighting plastic straws and promoting “green energy,” a real environmental disaster has already struck — and its source is not corporate greed, but the progressive irresponsibility of the government itself.

San Diego is drowning in 22 billion gallons of untreated sewage flowing directly from Mexico through the Tijuana River.

The US and Mexico signed an agreement to modernize treatment facilities on the border. The American side pledged to allocate funds, while the Mexican side pledged to build the infrastructure. More than 20 years have passed since then.

JD Vance: In America, you don’t have to apologize for being white

Vice President JD Vance absolutely stole the show at AmFest this weekend.
And, one moment from his speech in particular is taking the internet by storm.

While delivering remarks, Vance declared victory over the left’s racist DEI policies, bluntly stating that now, in America, “you don’t have to apologize for being White anymore.”

Under the Trump administration, people are no longer persecuted or denied opportunities based on race or gender, as was the case with Biden.
His speech at AmFest was perhaps the most powerful and brilliant one he’s ever given.

An employee of the Élysée Palace stole porcelain from the French president's residence over a period of two years

The 40-year-old employee, who was responsible for serving and keeping track of tableware, stole about 100 plates, cups, and other porcelain items used for state dinners and official receptions. He falsified inventory documents to conceal his actions.

The stolen items were resold by the maître d'hôtel to a porcelain collector who lives in Versailles and works at the Louvre. The court ordered the men to return the property and placed them under judicial supervision.

Whistleblower claims massive Somali medicaid fraud happening in Maine

When it comes to allegations of Somali fraud, it appears that the state of Minnesota is not alone. A whistleblower who used to work with an organization that partners with the state of Maine, is now claiming that there is another massive Medicaid scheme taking place in the state of Maine.

The city of Lewiston, Maine has been a destination for Somali migrants for years, much like Minneapolis. This just reinforces the idea that more investigation is needed.

A Maine health services contractor facing fraud allegations from a whistleblower denied the claims and said the former employee never raised concerns during his employment, but records show his manager documented him flagging fraudulent billing.

The organization said Christopher Bernardini, who spent seven years working for Gateway, “at no point during his employment did he raise any concerns—formal or informal—related to inaccurate billing, fraud, or impropriety.”…

Bernardini alleges Gateway oversaw a system in which false records were filed about client visits and charged taxpayers for services never provided. “We started getting some clients calling and saying months later that their client owed them hours.

They hadn’t come in for these shifts and stuff. But I had a time card for it,” Bernardini told NewsNation. When asked if what he witnessed was fraud, he responded, “Absolutely. No doubt about it.”

Jerome Powell! US workers need more rate cuts!

The November jobs report was not pretty for the labor market.

The lag effect of monetary policy rears its ugly head. Was Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell too late? New employment data suggest that the US central bank may have arrived late to the easing cycle – again – when it cut interest rates for the first time this year in September. Powell and his fellow doves may have needed to heed the advice of Fed Gov. Christopher Waller or even President Donald Trump when they insisted the institution should have lowered interest rates earlier.

A deeper dive further reveals just how mixed the job situation is right now. Average hourly earnings ticked up 0.1%, or five cents, to $36.86. Year-over-year, average hourly earnings eased to 3.5%, from 3.7%. Additionally, full-time employment declined by 983,000, but part-time payrolls surged by more than one million. The labor force participation rate rose to 62.5%, average weekly hours climbed to 34.3, and the long-term unemployment rate jumped to 24.3%.

Much of the hiring has been concentrated in health care and social assistance. This is entirely related to America’s aging population. The construction sector also added a healthy 28,000 jobs.

Heather Long, chief economist at Navy Federal Credit Union, may have best described employment conditions to CNBC: “The US economy is in a jobs recession.”

Selfish Bernie Sanders is blocking cancer treatment for kids

Ebenezer Scrooge has nothing on Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is thwarting cancer treatment for kids in a possibly futile attempt to get Congress to pass his priorities.

Last week, the Vermont socialist was the sole vote opposed to fast-tracking legislation that will make it easier for kids with cancer to access treatments and clinical trials and incentivize companies to develop pediatric therapies.

His complaint: the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act, named for a teen cancer patient who died while advocating for its passage, is a pared-down version of a previous package that included other health-care measures as well, including funding for community health centers.

Without those add-ons, he’s withholding support of a bill that was teed up to pass easily — and that even he otherwise supported.

Yet without his vote, it didn’t win unanimous backing, so it’ll now have to make its way through a much more arduous procedural process when Congress reconvenes next year.

Once Kyiv burns through its 90 bn euro, will EU float another loan to keep it in fight?

Hallelujah, we have an agreement to keep Ukraine solvent! After yet another contentious late night negotiation, the EU Council emerged with a plan to issue €90 billion in Eurobonds to keep Kyiv in business for another year. Devout Euro-federalists must be happy to see an expansion of the NextGen pandemic rescue fund precedent, which broke the long-standing bar against common debt.

Yet this latest tranche of Euro debt isn’t exactly “common” in that Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic are exempted from any obligation to repay it. Such is the price of consensus in the European Union: It always comes with an asterisk.

The original plan touted by Ursula von der Leyen was to use frozen Russian assets as collateral for Ukrainian funding. Belgian PM De Wever demanded full indemnification from the EU for the legal consequences of the seizure of these assets held in trust by Brussels-based Euroclear.

De Wever may have been painted as disloyal European by the big beasts in the EU, but he clearly represented the interests of Belgian taxpayers who understandably did not wish to be on the hook to repay tens of billions to Russia.

Absent the financial underpinnings of strategic autonomy, the EU will remain dependent on the decisions of its member states and reliant on US-led NATO for its security. The financial structure of the union remains at odds with the requirements of its military security. Russia cannot be deterred at the sufferance of the Belgian Prime Minister.

Ursula von der Leyen’s European Commission is a sinking ship

This week’s European Council meeting was supposed to be Ursula von der Leyen’s finest hour. After a bitter succession of public humiliations—from that great stain on her probity and credibility that was the Pfizergate debacle to a wave of no-confidence votes in the European Parliament and, more recently, the scandalous arrest of former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini—this was meant to have been her triumphant return.

Under her decisive leadership, things would now finally get done: the EU-Mercosur trade deal would, after a gargantuan two and a half decades of negotiations, be signed just in time for the Commission president to fly to South America for a caipirinha-filled self-congratulatory tour.

Most importantly, she would implement her great obsession, prevail in her preferred moral battle: punish the Russians by giving Kyiv Moscow’s financial reserves. Who, then, would think of impeaching her?

Things turned out somewhat differently. Von der Leyen had time and again claimed that the only way to keep Kyiv afloat financially would be by tapping into the hundreds of billions of euros held by the Russian Central Bank at Euroclear, in Belgium. European Council President António Costa had even—and rather buffoonishly—threatened to effectively kidnap Europe’s heads of government in Brussels until a decision was reached.

The same with the Mercosur deal, which Commission officials had attempted, until the very last second, to force down Europe’s throat. But it was all to no avail. Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni put an end to any lingering hope of a hastened approval of the trade deal when she, too, agreed that the guarantees it would give to Europe’s farmers would still be insufficient. Von der Leyen shamefully had to postpone her Brazilian holiday to a later date.

Travelers banned from bringing Bibles to one conflicted nation

Latest move in long-running agenda to crack down on religious freedoms

Travelers who may have any reason to visit Nicaragua since Daniel Ortega threw out democracy and changed the constitution in order to maintain his power now are being warned against carrying with them a simple acknowledgement of a Christian faith: A Bible. They are banned.

It is because of restrictions issued by Ortega, the dictator, and his wife, "Vice President" Rosario Murillo, who rules alongside Ortega. It is the international transport company Tica Bus that told consumers there is a new set of items prohibited from entering Nicaragua: "Firearms, sharp objects and perishable food," and now, "drones, magazines, printed newspapers and Bibles."

Multiple travelers and human-rights organizations have expressed concern. But it's not the first foray into anti-Christian actions by the duo, the report said. "Ortega and his wicked wife accused the church of supporting an attempted coup d'état in 2018, which saw rare mass protests against his leadership and resulted in hundreds of imprisonments,"

The attacks on religious freedom in the Central American nation have accompanied Ortega's rise in power, the report said, with dozens of Catholic priests arrested or exiled over the years. At the same time, entire congregations, including orders and movements of consecrated life, have been expelled from the country.

Sen. Tuberville: ‘islamists’ are ‘here to conquer’

After the Bondi Beach attack in Australia, as well as reports that the Brown University killer screamed “Allahu akbar” as he opened fire, and the ISIS murder of two American servicemen in Syria, and the Muslim student at the University of Delaware who plotted a jihad massacre of campus police, and all the rest, the nation is paying more attention to Islamic jihad in recent days than it has in quite some time, and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), for one, has had quite enough.

Tuberville wrote Sunday: “Islam is not a religion. It's a cult. Islamists aren't here to assimilate. They're here to conquer. Stop worrying about offending the pearl clutchers. We've got to SEND THEM HOME NOW or we'll become the United Caliphate of America.”

This was guaranteed, as Tuberville might put it, to offend the pearl-clutchers, and indeed, there was great clutching of pearls throughout our fair land. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Pack the Court) fired back: “These are hateful lies. Islamophobia has no place in our society. MAGA Republicans should stop spewing the kind of hate that divides us and foments violence.”

California State Senator Scott Wiener (D-Depravity) wrote in the same vein: “It’s unwise to respond to every dumb a** bigoted thing people say on the internet, but when a United States senator — albeit the dumbest United States senator — calls for denaturalization & deportation of an entire religion, you have to call it out as the evil it is.”

Outrage after German state extends state of emergency a 7th time using emergency Covid-19 funds

The German state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt apparently thinks Covid-19 is still in full force, using the pandemic to declare a state of emergency for the seventh time. Criticism is now pouring in from the Green Party, AfD, BSW, and FDP, writes Apollo News.

At issue are the powers such a measure allows the state government, namely, allowing it to take on more debt and circumvent the debt brake. In doing so, Saxony-Anhalt can spend up to €790 million from its special coronavirus fund.

The only problem is that this money is meant to promote pandemic resilience and to fund the digitalization and renovation of hospitals. So where is it going instead?

It is no secret that the state is facing a budget crisis, scrambling even last year to plug various gaps. The head of the state audit office, Kay Barthel, says “there was no objective justification” for the extended emergency.

The state was allocated a special Covid-19 fund of approximately €2 billion. By October of this year, more than half of this amount had been spent. Repayment of state debt is scheduled to begin in 2029 with installments of €100 million.

Saxony-Anhalt is the only German state that has repeatedly extended its pandemic emergency declaration, with other states last declaring it in 2024.
