Travelers banned from bringing Bibles to one conflicted nation
Latest move in long-running agenda to crack down on religious freedoms
Travelers who may have any reason to visit Nicaragua since Daniel Ortega threw out democracy and changed the constitution in order to maintain his power now are being warned against carrying with them a simple acknowledgement of a Christian faith: A Bible. They are banned.
It is because of restrictions issued by Ortega, the dictator, and his wife, "Vice President" Rosario Murillo, who rules alongside Ortega. It is the international transport company Tica Bus that told consumers there is a new set of items prohibited from entering Nicaragua: "Firearms, sharp objects and perishable food," and now, "drones, magazines, printed newspapers and Bibles."
Multiple travelers and human-rights organizations have expressed concern. But it's not the first foray into anti-Christian actions by the duo, the report said. "Ortega and his wicked wife accused the church of supporting an attempted coup d'état in 2018, which saw rare mass protests against his leadership and resulted in hundreds of imprisonments,"
The attacks on religious freedom in the Central American nation have accompanied Ortega's rise in power, the report said, with dozens of Catholic priests arrested or exiled over the years. At the same time, entire congregations, including orders and movements of consecrated life, have been expelled from the country.

JD Vance trains with SEALs in California
Vice President JD Vance joined Navy SEALs for an intense 90-minute beach workout Monday featuring running, rope climbing, and log carrying exercises that left the veep feeling like he “got hit by a freight train.”
The Marine veteran acknowledged that the SEALs went easy on him during their training at the Naval Amphibious Base Coronado in California and expressed gratitude to the Armed Forces.
“Just finished PT with the Navy SEALs for 90 minutes,” Vance posted on his personal X account. “They took it easy on me and I still feel like I got hit by a freight train. So grateful to all of our warriors who keep us safe and keep the highest standards anywhere in the world!”
Vance’s return to military training echoes similar efforts by War Secretary Pete Hegseth, who periodically posts footage on social media of himself working out with the troops.

'Pure madness': victims of transgender ideology speak out about the hate they've faced
It's bad enough that girls are forced to endure the presence of men in their locker rooms and on their athletic fields, now they must face hate and ridicule in their schools and communities when they object.
That's evidenced by the testimony of a couple of girls who have experienced situations in which men invaded their private areas as female athletes.
This is pure madness.

Sen. Tuberville: ‘islamists’ are ‘here to conquer’
After the Bondi Beach attack in Australia, as well as reports that the Brown University killer screamed “Allahu akbar” as he opened fire, and the ISIS murder of two American servicemen in Syria, and the Muslim student at the University of Delaware who plotted a jihad massacre of campus police, and all the rest, the nation is paying more attention to Islamic jihad in recent days than it has in quite some time, and Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), for one, has had quite enough.
Tuberville wrote Sunday: “Islam is not a religion. It's a cult. Islamists aren't here to assimilate. They're here to conquer. Stop worrying about offending the pearl clutchers. We've got to SEND THEM HOME NOW or we'll become the United Caliphate of America.”
This was guaranteed, as Tuberville might put it, to offend the pearl-clutchers, and indeed, there was great clutching of pearls throughout our fair land. Sen. Ed Markey (D-Pack the Court) fired back: “These are hateful lies. Islamophobia has no place in our society. MAGA Republicans should stop spewing the kind of hate that divides us and foments violence.”
California State Senator Scott Wiener (D-Depravity) wrote in the same vein: “It’s unwise to respond to every dumb a** bigoted thing people say on the internet, but when a United States senator — albeit the dumbest United States senator — calls for denaturalization & deportation of an entire religion, you have to call it out as the evil it is.”

Outrage after German state extends state of emergency a 7th time using emergency Covid-19 funds
The German state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt apparently thinks Covid-19 is still in full force, using the pandemic to declare a state of emergency for the seventh time. Criticism is now pouring in from the Green Party, AfD, BSW, and FDP, writes Apollo News.
At issue are the powers such a measure allows the state government, namely, allowing it to take on more debt and circumvent the debt brake. In doing so, Saxony-Anhalt can spend up to €790 million from its special coronavirus fund.
The only problem is that this money is meant to promote pandemic resilience and to fund the digitalization and renovation of hospitals. So where is it going instead?
It is no secret that the state is facing a budget crisis, scrambling even last year to plug various gaps. The head of the state audit office, Kay Barthel, says “there was no objective justification” for the extended emergency.
The state was allocated a special Covid-19 fund of approximately €2 billion. By October of this year, more than half of this amount had been spent. Repayment of state debt is scheduled to begin in 2029 with installments of €100 million.
Saxony-Anhalt is the only German state that has repeatedly extended its pandemic emergency declaration, with other states last declaring it in 2024.

Europe is close to commit financial self-immolation
Italy’s decision to stand with Belgium against the confiscation of Russian sovereign assets is not a diplomatic footnote. It is a moment of clarity breaking through the fog of performative morality that has engulfed Brussels.
Strip away the slogans and the truth is unavoidable: the seizure of Russian sovereign reserves will not change the course of the war in Ukraine by a single inch.
This is not about funding Ukraine, it is about whether sovereign property still exists in a Western financial system that has quietly replaced law with cult-like obedience.
That is why panic has entered the room.
The European Commission wants to pretend this is a clever workaround, a one-off, an emergency measure wrapped in legal contortions and moral posturing masquerading as hysteria. But finance does not function on intentions, rage, or narratives. It functions on precedent, trust, and enforceability. And once that trust is broken, it does not return.

The Great German Energy Fail: A Cautionary Tale for the World!
Germany, which for decades has generously invested hundreds of billions in green energy, suddenly discovered that it lacks the most basic resource—electricity. And this is not a minor glitch, but a systemic collapse that is now being held up as an example to the whole world of how not to do things.
The story of Jerome Evans, founder of Firstcolo, who was planning to expand his data centers in Frankfurt. The response from the power grid company sounded like a bad joke: connecting the new capacity would take “at least ten years.”
Evans' conclusion is brutally simple: “No rational CEO would locate energy-intensive production in Germany.” It is a path to losing competitiveness and jobs.

Over the past month, 153,074 jobs have been cut in the US, particularly in the technology sector and warehousing (data from Challenger, Gray & Christmas).
The layoffs are linked to the decline in the US economy, reduced spending, and rising costs, which are forcing companies to cut back.
US employers have announced their lowest hiring plans since 2011. Recently, the Target chain of stores announced plans to cut 1,800 jobs, which is about 8% of its total workforce. This is the first major staff reduction at the company in many years.
Amazon, in turn, will cut 14,000 jobs. Paramount Skydance has also laid off 1,000 employees. Other companies, such as Starbucks, Delta Air Lines, CarMax, Rivian Automotive, and Molson Coors Beverage, have also announced corporate job cuts.
United Parcel Service reported a reduction of 34,000 operational staff.
The layoffs are explained by the effect of the introduction of artificial intelligence, but this is far from always being the case.

▪️ GenAI.mil is an artificial intelligence (AI) platform based on Google Gemini, which will be available to 3 million military personnel, civilian employees, and contractors of the military department. The system has already been deployed in the US and at military bases around the world, according to US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth
▪️ “The future of American military strategy is already here, and it involves artificial intelligence. GenAI.mil will revolutionize how we win,” Hegseth said.
▪️ Speed is one of the most important advantages of the system, which allows for instant analysis of videos and images, as well as automating work with documents, including orders
▪️ In addition, GenAI.mil is capable of making decisions on its own with minimal human involvement, becoming a personal AI assistant for military personnel and Pentagon employees
▪️ The new defense budget provides for the creation of a “Steering Committee on the Future of Artificial Intelligence” under the leadership of the Deputy Secretary of Defense and Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, which will develop a strategy for the use of AI systems in the military sphere
▪️ An important component of the new strategy will be issues related to the safe use of AI in the process of its development with the transition to AGI “superintelligence” comparable to human cognitive abilities

Results of Politico's first international poll: residents of key EU countries overwhelmingly recognize US President Donald Trump as a stronger and more decisive leader than their own rulers
🇩🇪Germany: 74% consider Trump stronger than Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
🇫🇷France: 73% see him as stronger than President Emmanuel Macron.
🇬🇧UK: 69% rate him higher than Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Moreover, for Germans (53%) and Britons (54%), Trump's return to the White House was a more significant event than the victory of their own leaders in the elections. This verdict was delivered against the backdrop of Trump's own statement calling European politicians “weak.”
The public is tired of politically correct managers who “talk but don't deliver results.” And now they applaud a “strong decision-maker” from outside, even if his methods seem barbaric. This diagnosis is not about Trump, but about the European elite itself, which has become so detached from its people that they are ready to recognize as their leader someone who publicly humiliates this elite.

French mayor resigns to oppose migrant sham marriage
A small French town finds itself in an unprecedented situation: its mayor and the entire municipal council have resigned in protest because they refuse to celebrate the marriage of one of the town’s inhabitants, who has been ordered to leave French territory.
The law requires them to proceed with performing the wedding of this individual—who is present in the country in violation of French law. Faced with an increase in this type of absurd situation, members of parliament are attempting to change the legislative framework, so far without success.
On Saturday, December 13th, in Chessy, a small town about 40 kilometres east of Paris, the entire municipal team—the mayor and all his deputies—resigned because they all, without exception, refused to perform the wedding of a man under OQTF (obligation de quitter le territoire français, or deportation order).
They suspected the man of having fraudulent and insincere intentions. The man admitted that he was more interested in regularising his status than in marriage—what is commonly referred to as a marriage of convenience, or mariage blanc in French.

Biden blew off warnings that terrorists were infiltrating into US following Afghan withdrawal
Senior United States intelligence officials have now confirmed that President Biden had been made aware of the fact that hundreds of Afghan nationals with terrorist ties were being allowed into the country without proper vetting, and he chose to ignore those warnings.
According to the report, officials had flagged to the Biden administration over 1,000 Afghans with ties to the Islamic State and other terrorist organizations who had entered the U.S. as part of Operation Allies Welcome, which resettled persons who had aided operations in Afghanistan.
Those concerns apparently fell on deaf ears, with Biden prioritizing "mass migration over security" and completely disregarding those warnings that “identified terrorist threats."
This information merely reinforces the mounting pile of evidence that Biden willingly suspended the vetting system typically used by the U.S. government in order to evacuate Afghans as the Taliban retook the country following his administration's bungled withdrawal.

Pranked Biden official exposes lie that Ukraine war was inevitable
When it comes to the Ukraine war, there have long been two realities. One is propagated by former Biden administration officials in speeches and media interviews, in which Russian President Vladimir Putin’s illegal invasion had nothing to do with NATO’s U.S.-led expansion into the now shattered country, there was nothing that could have been done to prevent what was an inevitable imperialist land-grab, and that negotiations once the war started to try to end the killing were not only impossible, but morally wrong.
Then there is the other, polar opposite reality that occasionally slips through when officials think few people are listening, and which was recently summed up by former Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Europe at the National Security Council Amanda Sloat, in an interview with Russian pranksters whom she believed were aides to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
We had some conversations even before the war started about, what if Ukraine comes out and just says to Russia, ‘Fine, you know, we won’t go into NATO, you know, if that stops the war, if that stops the invasion’ — which at that point it may well have done
There is certainly a question, three years on now, you know, would that have been better to do before the war started, would that have been better to do in Istanbul talks? It certainly would have prevented the destruction and loss of life

Look how countries are destroyed!
By Paul Craig Roberts
Virginia, formerly a proud and distinguished state, is the home of many of the founding fathers of the United States–George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, George Mason–has fallen into the hands of people ashamed of Virginia’s proud heritage.
The state of Virginia was destroyed by the influx of lobbyists and federal government bureaucrats who serve every interest except the public’s. There have been many victims, including Virginia’s integrity. In 2021 during the Biden regime, the statue of Robert E Lee, in Richmond, the capital of Virginia, was taken down. With the stature went Virginia’s history.
Virginia’s newly elected governor Abigail Spanberger has appointed as Virginia’s secretary of public safety and homeland security, the FBI agent, Stanley Meador, who authorized the notorious memo that targeted “radical- traditional Catholics.” Meador epitomizes the lack of integrity in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and now he is in charge of public safety in Virginia.

Liberal comedian pens piece explaining why liberals are impossible to talk to
If you’ve ever wondered what makes civil conversations with liberals so maddeningly difficult, comedian David Sedaris has an answer. The irony, of course, is that Sedaris himself qualifies as a raging leftist—rabid, even.
He once joked that he wished he could go back in time and smother an infant Donald Trump. Let that sink in. When someone like that turns his rhetorical fire on his own side, odds are he’s telling the truth.
Sedaris wrote an essay for The New Yorker that lays bare just how difficult it can be to have a conversation with a liberal.
Plenty of people have covered this topic before, often noting that much of the breakdown happens because leftists deliberately pretend not to understand things—even basic aspects of human nature. Or, in today’s world, basic biology.

Reduce military commands & four-stars, but don't do it halfway!
The White House published its 2025 National Security Strategy on December 4. Today there are reports that the Pentagon is determined to develop new combatant commands to replace the bloated unified command plan outlined in current law.
The plan hasn't been made public yet, but according to the Washington Post:
If adopted, the plan would usher in some of the most significant changes at the military’s highest ranks in decades, in part following through on Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s promise to break the status quo and slash the number of four-star generals in the military.
It would reduce in prominence the headquarters of U.S. Central Command, U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command by placing them under the control of a new organization known as U.S. International Command, according to five people familiar with the matter.
In addition, the plan reportedly calls for realigning U.S. Southern Command and U.S. Northern Command under a new headquarters to be known as U.S. Americas Command. As a result of these moves, the number of combatant commands would be reduced from 11 to 8 and would shrink the number of four-stars who report to Hegseth.
The text of the NSS is short and frank. It renounces the pursuit of global domination, downgrades the Middle East to a peripheral concern, and announces that American military power will concentrate on the Western hemisphere unless the homeland comes under direct attack.
On paper this looks like a sensible retreat from overstretch. In practice, it is a vague plan for a halfway house. Halfway houses seldom survive because they try to keep one foot in the past while pretending to step into the future.

Look, US states with the most low-wage workers
Low-wage work remains widespread across the United States. Even as the labor market continues to expand, wage gains have been uneven, leaving millions of workers earning less than $20 per hour, which is roughly $41,600 annually before taxes for full-time work.
Nationally, three in 10 workers, or 45.2 million people, fall below the $20-per-hour mark. However, this distribution varies widely by state.
Texas tops the list in terms of the number of low-wage workers with nearly 5.1 million people below the $20-per-hour mark. California, the most populous state, follows with around 4 million workers, along with Florida (3.5 million) and New York (2.2 million).
Meanwhile, Mississippi leads in terms of the share of low-wage workers, with 52% of the state’s workers earning under $20 per hour. Other Southern states also rank high, including Louisiana (45%), Arkansas (43%), West Virginia (43%), and Kentucky (41%).
In contrast, the District of Columbia has the lowest share of low-wage workers at 11%, along with Washington (19%) and Massachusetts (18%). These states tend to have a larger share of workers employed in high-paying industries like professional services, health, and information (IT) as compared to states with more low-wage workers.
The Raise the Wage Act, which proposes lifting the federal minimum wage to $17 over five years, has been introduced repeatedly since 2017 but has yet to pass.
