Déjà blue: The democratic party doubles down on doom

The blame game, midterm edition.

The Democratic Party has a new plan to win back voters, and this one isn’t like that creepy $20 million scheme to study men’s language, either. This is being billed as a top-notch, fresh off the press, calm, and rational mid-term strategy. And yet, it appears to be the same old tired trope: Point at President Donald Trump and try to convince Americans that the sky is falling and that everybody’s lives are in danger. Except this time, the left aims to accuse the president of “killing the American dream.” The plan is flawed, to say the least. It’s more than a little worn and relies on an unfounded prediction. For it to work, the country would have to suffer, and then Americans would need to believe Democratic officials could fix the situation. Maybe “flawed” is an understatement.

Elected Democrats often seem only to consider the party’s agenda, reacting instead of planning, listening to their emotions instead of Americans’ wants and needs. Much like the party’s recent plan (SAM) to spend millions studying men’s language in an effort to lure in male voters, the ploy to weaponize the Big Beautiful Bill will probably be abandoned before summer ends, though the hysteria may last for years.

If the plan fails, though, will they continue the charade, attacking the president and the GOP, or will they try something different?

War is a certainty

The bankers need ups and downs and wars to make money

Just as bankers increase their profit as a result of upward and downward economic fluctuations, so, too, do they benefit from war. It is not unusual for a given bank to finance those who would create armed conflict, and indeed, they sometimes bankroll both sides. Whilst banks have other means of making money, war is often more profitable than conventional banking.

The military needs war

The military-industrial complex is in the business of selling armaments to governments. Although armament sales may tick over nicely in peace time, they boom in war time. Therefore, any armament supplier will benefit from war. It matters little whether it is an all-out war or a series of smaller ventures. The object is sales.

The politicians need both banks and war

This is true in the sense that politicians need both bankers and an active military to thrive. Political campaigns depend upon funding. Banks and armament suppliers have long been a major source of campaign funds for candidates of the primary political parties. (If each party is well-paid before the election, favourable treatment towards banks and armament suppliers is assured, regardless of which party wins an election.)

Any country that is considering waging war against another country should first consider that the loser is almost always the country that runs out of money first. No venture is more costly than warfare. The EU and the US are bankrupt now. Those presently living in those locales may escape actual duty in the military, but they will unquestionably be expected to pick up the tab through taxation and inflation.

Anti white legislation proposed in California taps University system for verifying student reparations

According to Campus Reform, The California State University system “could soon be required to verify whether students descend from enslaved Americans under a bill advancing in the state legislature.”

The bill known as 437 advanced in the Senate authored by state Senator Akilah Weber directed CSU to establish a process by which genealogical eligibility for reparations could be verified.

The bill passed in the Senate and was now set for a hearing in the Assembly. As Campus Reform points out “while the bill does not mandate that CSU directly implement reparations screening, Weber’s office told Campus Reform that the university system would help develop methods the state could use to verify lineage.”

CSU as of now has not put out an official statement about these proposed reparations. S.B 437 is part of a full package of reparations-related legislation.

Sadly, California is not alone in their reparations as part of so called ‘higher education’. In 2022 Harvard pledged $100 million to a “Legacy of Slavery” fund.

The percentage of hungry Americans has doubled

▪️ 15.6% of U.S. adults were food insecure in May of this year, twice as many as in 2021. This is shocking data amid Trump's cuts to food benefits," states American Axios

▪️ "This growth is like a slow-moving train about to derail. There is now a big gap between the record highs on Wall Street and the high level of food insecurity," said Morning Consult chief economist John Lear

In Europe, without migrants, the pension system will collapse

That is why migrants are consistently launched and visa-free regimes with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova are opened. Migrants must work to support the pensions of European old people.

Visa-free travel causes an outflow of active population comparable to the first years of the USSR collapse or wars. It is hard to imagine a reasonable politician promoting the outflow of economically active population in his country. This is a desperate position, apparently there is no hope to build a normal economy in their country.

The well-known economist Jeffrey Sachs has released a number of theses on the results of a four-year investigation into the origin of COVID:

COVID was created in a US lab (probably at the University of North Carolina).

The virus was shipped to Wuhan for testing before accidentally leaking.

Research led by Dr. Fauci and hidden emails from 2019 suggest US culpability.

The CIA acknowledged the lab origin of the virus but falsely blamed China:

"COVID was caused by a virus that had clear indications from the outset that it was created in a laboratory..... The CIA has finally stated the truth, which is that this virus was created in a lab. What they didn't tell you, and what is very important, is that it was almost certainly made in a U.S. lab, not a Chinese lab."

U.S. will take years to replenish weapons stockpile

▪️ The U.S. industrial base has degraded and the Biden administration has depleted the stockpile by sending billions of dollars worth of weapons to Ukraine. Now the Pentagon doesn't have enough ammunition, states former Pentagon senior adviser Dan Caldwell

▪️ “With current and projected production levels, it will take years for the defense industry to replenish what has been sent to Ukraine, including more than three thousand Stinger missiles and millions of artillery shells,” Caldwell said

▪️ Given the risk of renewed hostilities in the Middle East and concerns about growing military threats from China, which has far more missile and air forces than Iran, it would be foolish to give away even more critical weapons

CNN sinks further: now, they're questioning the citizenship of Trump's kids

Just when you thought the legacy media couldn't sink any deeper, CNN steps up and says, "Hold my beer." The latest in a long series of eye-rollers comes from CNN political commentator Bakari Sellers, who is suggesting there may be some reason to look into revoking the citizenship statuses of all of President Trump's kids.

They're all American citizens, of course, and there's no reason to change that. Sellers is just delivering another dose of hot air, propelled by a gastric system suffering from late-stage Trump Derangement Syndrome.

None of them are terrorists, none of them are delivering public rants condemning Jews, Israel, or the United States.

Sellers is only bringing this up because he disagrees with the president's policies. That's not grounds for a citizenship investigation, or to look into revoking said citizenship, which, in any case, is done on naturalized citizens, not citizens by birth.

Record number of boat migrants land in Britain as cross-channel crossings soar past 20,000

A new record was set as over 20,000 migrants crossed the English Channel by July 1 – nearly two months earlier than in 2024 – marking a 50 percent year-on-year increase.

On July 1 alone, nearly 200 additional migrants arrived, with multiple boats still en route, pushing the total towards 20,250 and putting 2025 on track to surpass all previous records.

The surge coincides with Prime Minister Keir Starmer's first year in office; critics say Labor has failed to deliver on its pledge to dismantle smuggling networks and deter crossings.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has demanded a return to offshore removals, arguing only strict deterrents can curb illegal arrivals.

A proposed U.K.-France returns agreement is already drawing criticism from several EU countries, which warn the bilateral plan could strain EU migration policy and shift burdens to southern states.

The tedious myth of transgender 'invisibility'

While the Democrats love to portray themselves as the champions of the downtrodden and insist that their policies will right all of society's wrongs, they actually thrive in a world where nothing ever gets better. They would have us believe that race relations in the United States have remain unchanged since the Civil War, that 21st century women are bumping their pretty little heads against a glass ceiling, and that gay people are excluded from polite society.

Trans people aren't a fringe group in American society: they're the fringe of a fringe. Yet at no time in history has such a small segment of a population commanded so much attention, all they while complaining that it wasn't getting any. Given the disproportionate amount of publicity it gets, the Pride alphabet should always be written "lgbTq."

Trans people in America are harmed far more by the Democrats' "You will be made to care" approach to social issues than anything you or I may have felt about them before they were thrust into the harsh glare of the spotlight as political human shields.

Visibility isn't always all it's cracked up to be, especially for people being used as pawns.

Poll: Kamala Harris top choice among potential candidates in California gubernatorial election

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is a top choice among potential candidates on both sides of the aisle in California’s gubernatorial race, according to a recent poll.

A poll from the University of California, Irvine School of Social Ecology conducted between May 27 – June 2, 2025, and May 29 – June 4, 2025, found that when matched against a general Republican choice for California governor, Harris received 41% of support, while the Republican choice received 29% of support.

Fourteen percent also expressed that they “wouldn’t vote,” while 16% said they were unsure about who to vote for.

The first sample of people surveyed for the poll included 2,143 California adults, while the second sample of people surveyed consisted of 2,000 California adults.

Six percent expressed that they would not vote, while another six percent expressed that they would support former Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) for governor of California.

Ukraine says talks to join NATO becoming 'very toxic'

Ukraine's talks with NATO over a path to future membership have become increasingly tense and unproductive, according to Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tikhy. In a recent interview, Tikhy described the discussions as "toxic" (something he said elsewhere weeks ago too) - characterizing the negotiations as repetitive and are no longer making progress. He also indicated there does not appear to be a chance for breakthrough anywhere on the horizon.

The NATO bloc has consistently held out that "Ukraine's future is in NATO." Secretary-General Mark Rutte had at this summer's annual NATO defense summit, hosted in The Hague, issued similarly optimistic words.

However, what's become clear is that waning American support for Ukraine's military, and even President Trump's stated desire to step back from leadership in NATO amid lack of fair cost-sharing among allies, has resulted in a broad decline in enthusiasm and momentum for Ukraine's accession.

New book dives Into the Obama-Biden feud—'Your campaign's a mess'

I never really bought the whole “Barry and Joe are BFFs” narrative about former President Obama and his vice president, Biden. After all, Barack urged his VP not to run for president in 2016 and never seemed all that enthused campaigning for him in 2020 and 2024. He also reportedly once said (profanity alert), "Don't underestimate Joe's ability to f*** things up.” In more recent times, Obama has been accused of being the mastermind—along with California Dem Rep. Nancy Pelosi and New York Sen. Chuck Schumer—of torching Biden’s reelection campaign and forcing him to drop out.

They sound like real good buds. As our sister site PJ Media reported, a new book is making fresh charges that Obama was less than impressed at Biden’s first term as president, and was extremely concerned about his ability to win a second term:

A forthcoming book about the 2024 election has exposed what many conservatives suspected all along: Obama never really believed Biden was fit for a second term, and he wasn't shy about letting everyone know it. When the two met for lunch at the White House in 2023, Obama walked away "slightly incredulous" that Biden was even attempting another run, according to a report from The Guardian, which received an advance copy of the book.

Performative political theater

The Democrats have chosen form over substance. The president gets things done while his opponents opt for dramatic arts.

Two Democratic leaders have spoken longer than my verbose college roommate. Corey Booker spoke in the Senate for 25 hours. Hakeem Jeffries last week added nearly another 9 hours of Democratic talking, talking, talking. That Senator Spartacus and Congressman Magic Minute could talk for a day and a half is certainly impressive.Did their rhetorical tour-de-force performances actually accomplish anything? The answer is a solid no. Nothing changed on the ground—but that was never expected. They just wanted to go through the motions. Meanwhile, Donald Trump sent out a couple of messages regarding voting for his spending bill, and all but two Republicans in the House lined up. That’s the difference between performance and action.

And this is the trajectory of the Democratic Party. When Barack Obama became president and was awarded a Nobel Prize soon thereafter, people noted that he had a very thin resume.

People move to a performative state when they have nothing to offer.

Europe prepares for war economy mode, stockpiling minerals, food, and nuclear fuel amid rising threats

The EU is shifting to a "war economy mode," stockpiling critical minerals, food, medicines, and nuclear fuel amid rising geopolitical threats and supply chain fears.

A leaked EU document reveals preparations for war, cyberattacks, and supply chain collapses, exposing a lack of trust in global stability.

Russia’s sabotage risks (like Nord Stream) and potential attacks on EU nations are driving urgent stockpiling and NATO collaboration for crisis readiness.

The EU plans tax incentives and shared reserves among member states, pushing private companies and households to prepare for long-term shortages.

The strategy signals EU leaders expect severe crises, treating war preparedness as permanent policy, yet this shift is happening with little public debate.

The European Union is quietly shifting into "war economy mode," accelerating its stockpiling of critical minerals, food, medicines, and even nuclear fuel as geopolitical tensions escalate and fears grow over supply chain sabotage.

According to a leaked European Commission draft document obtained by the Financial Times, Brussels is preparing for a “rapidly evolving risk landscape” marked by war, cyberattacks, and supply chain collapses, essentially admitting the West faces imminent threats to its survival.

Britain shows how the bar for assisted suicide keeps getting lower

The passage of the Leadbeater bill sends a devastating signal: Some lives are no longer worth the cost of care.

Britain’s Parliament has voted to take a significant step toward enshrining assisted suicide into law. With the narrow passage of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill — known as the Leadbeater bill — on June 20, the United Kingdom stands at the precipice of adopting state-sponsored death. The bill, if ultimately enacted, would allow doctors to dispense lethal drugs to patients deemed to have less than six months to live.

Supporters often invoke personal autonomy — the right to “die with dignity.” But we know that once an assisted suicide regime takes effect, economic, social, and psychological pressures escalate rapidly. In Oregon, around half of those requesting assisted suicide cited fear of being a burden. Others cited financial pressure. In Canada, nearly 1 in 20 deaths is now medically assisted. In every jurisdiction where the practice exists, both the number of cases and eligibility criteria have spiraled.

Once assisted suicide is framed as a form of care, death is positioned as a cost-effective substitute for meaningful palliative services.

Trump’s Independence Day win triggers democratic hysteria

The left is caught in what some are labeling a “death spiral.”

Perhaps all the recent wins for Donald Trump from the US Supreme Court and now in Congress are becoming too much for those on the left to handle. Watching the president sign the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (BBB) on Independence Day has triggered an outburst of frustration, near apoplexy, causing nothing short of Democratic hysteria. Indeed, the chief executive is riding high and has successfully navigated major party hurdles to gain passage of the bill through Congress. For months, it’s been nothing but whining and gnashing of teeth over what is now the law of the land. However, the fact that the fight is over and Democrats have lost has caused many to double down in their opposition to all things Trump, and they are lashing out in apocalyptic language.

New York Post columnist Miranda Devine summed it up on Fox News succinctly: “The Democrats are in a death spiral and all they have are these attractive holograms like [Zohran] Mamdani being the latest.” Even before everything was signed, sealed, and delivered, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear labeled the legislation the “worst bill I’ve seen in my lifetime” in a lengthy interview with the Morning Joe satraps on MSNBC. Democratic political guru James Carville went out on a limb and prognosticated, “Political anthropologists are going to look back at this, and it‘s going to be called a mass extinction event because there are a lot of them going to be extinct when people go to the polls voting for this.” Appearing with Carville on CNN was fellow strategist Paul Begala, who believes the new law will cause the Republicans to tank in the next election.

Republican congressman refuses to say why he called male colleague a ‘lady’

Republican Representative Steve Womack referred to his male colleague, who dresses as a woman, as a “gentlelady from Delaware” during Wednesday’s Big Beautiful Bill hearing, according to a New York Times update.

Womack did not respond to The Federalist’s request for comment on why he chose to address “Sarah” (Tim) McBride as if he were a woman, whether Womack believes McBride is a woman, and if Womack always uses biologically false terms when asked to do so by people with gender dysphoria.

The Arkansas representative says that he is “committed to ensuring that the voices of his constituents are represented,” but it is unclear how his addressing McBride as a “lady” represents a state that is a leader in opposing LGBT ideology.

In Arkansas, it can be a crime for an adult to use the opposite-sex bathroom if a minor is present, and an individual can be charged with misdemeanor “sexual indecency with a child.” Arkansas has also passed legislation outlawing transgender surgeries and opposite sex hormones for minors, and state law restricts drag shows.

Mamdani targets NYC’s wealthy in tax plan — as spotlight turns to mother’s $2M Chelsea loft, where socialist launched his career

Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani has built his political profile on a promise to transform the city’s housing landscape — arguing for rent freezes, tax reform and redistribution from “richer and whiter neighborhoods” to low-income, outer-borough communities.

But the Democratic socialist could face scrutiny over the home history of his own family — specifically, his mother, award-winning filmmaker and Columbia University professor Mira Nair.

Nair, best known for directing “Monsoon Wedding” and “The Namesake,” quietly owned a luxury loft in Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighborhood for over a decade, The Post has learned. She purchased the unit at 420 W. 25th St. for $1.375 million in 2008, records show.

During the period when Nair owned the apartment, her son was launching his political career — one that would come to include a campaign platform proposing the redistribution of property tax burdens to Manhattan’s wealthiest enclaves.

Bezos’ $56 million second wedding is a monument to a culture that celebrates divorce

Odds are against Bezos’ new marriage given his previous record, age, and relationship conduct.

If you’ve followed the news over the past week, it’s been impossible to avoid the non-stop ticker of the Jeff Bezos-Lauren Sanchez wedding parade in Venice. The week-long festivities reportedly cost upwards of $56 million. An especially disconcerting fact, given the poor chances of marital success. Odds so abysmal in fact that certain casino games carry a better chance of return on investment.

The newlyweds met in 2016, reconnected in 2018 and allegedly began an affair while still married to other people. In 2019, they moved in together and got engaged in 2023.

Research suggests infidelity doesn’t bode well for marital longevity either. Some research indicates that marriages built on infidelity could fail in as little as two years. Another study shows the divorce rate for such marriages is 75% within five years. Anna Wintour’s last act as editor-in-chief of Vogue, posing Sanchez on the cover in her wedding gown, continues the glamorization of divorce in our culture that has devastated millions of families and caused lifelong trauma to spouses.

Target: finding out what happens when you cut off money for the Congressional Black Caucus nonprofit

One of the first things President Donald Trump did upon his return to the White House was to sign an executive order eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs nationwide. And as we found out during Pride Month, many corporate sponsors dropped their sponsorship of those events. But as usual, Democrats and the left have no problem doing a little arm-twisting to get what they want when it comes to all things DEI. Now, an infamous group of House members is putting the squeeze on a corporation that is discovering that once you cave to those woke demands, you are trapped.

CBC leaders met with Target last week, and issued a statement calling on company to "reinstate" DEI programs it ended in January. Funny enough, CBC took $5,000 from Target's PAC in February.

The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is threatening to put the screws to retail giant Target in the form of a boycott. This is in response to Target's announcement that they would be ending DEI initiatives, including the termination of a corporate sponsorship program that has been an economic boon to the group's nonprofit arm.

The Congressional Black Caucus threat of a boycott after Target ended financial support has all the earmarks of a shakedown. CEO Brian Cornell has always been an easy mark for racial activists.

The high cost of digital dollars: How cashless payments exact a toll on budgets, privacy and freedom

Cashless payments boost spending but erode financial discipline, studies show. Digital transactions enable surveillance, risking privacy through corporate/state tracking. China’s Social Credit System exemplifies broader societal control via payment data. Vulnerable populations face exclusion as cash options dwindle. Infrastructure failures like the 2024 global outage highlight cash’s enduring resilience.

As digital payments surge globally, the quiet shift away from cash is eroding financial self-control, privacy and equity. Consumers, governments and tech giants are colliding in a system where frictionless spending fuels debt, corporate profiling and social stratification. 2024 data reveals record U.S. spending in tandem with rising debt burdens. From Beijing to London, cashlessness defines economic life, yet vulnerabilities persist. A race toward digitization has outpaced safeguards, threatening to price millions out of control over their money and privacy.

Digital payments outpace human fiscal instincts. Researchers identify a “pain of paying” curbed by card and app use — where tossing a $10 note hurts more than tapping a phone. Visa reports digital shoppers spend 25–40% more at casual dining spots than cash users. TIME Magazine highlighted a 2023 study tracking Alipay adoption, finding mobile wallets drove 9.4% higher spending and 11% more transactions. “We’re bypassing hardwired restraints,” noted economist Michael Gelman.
