Jen Psaki flops in MSNBC primetime role, loses hundreds of thousands of viewers since taking over rachel Maddow's time slot
The former Biden press secretary's show lags far behind cable news competitors
Former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki is struggling two months into her primetime role at MSNBC, with her show having lost 44% of the audience that tuned in for host Rachel Maddow and now trailing its Fox News counterpart by a large margin. Psaki's show, The Briefing, averaged 1.1 million total viewers from its May 6 debut through July 3—down 44% from the 1.8 million that Maddow and temporary host Alex Wagner drew in the 9 p.m. slot earlier this year, Fox News reported. Meanwhile, Fox News's Hannity—airing in the same 9 p.m. slot—averaged 2.9 million viewers.
The former press secretary's lackluster performance adds to MSNBC's financial woes, as the network has already faced plummeting ratings and viewership for months amid mounting scrutiny over its left-wing reporting bias. MSNBC's parent company, Comcast, announced in November that it was cutting ties with the failing network. Psaki, for her part, has faced backlash over her role in covering up former president Joe Biden's mental decline while she served as White House press secretary from January 2021 until May 2022.
Psaki, who took over Maddow's primetime time slot on Tuesdays through Fridays, has posted especially weak numbers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic. Psaki's show has averaged only 90,000 viewers in that group—well behind Hannity, which drew 344,000, and The Source with Kaitlan Collins, which averaged 108,000.

Doing our part to end the empire
The United States empire already consumes 40% of what we make, more if you consider its nonstop borrowing from future taxpayers. It regulates and controls much of the non-state economy, and is frenetically militarizing in every direction. Yet focusing only on these facts can reduce our recognition of the real and unlimited power of individual action.
Using billions in military force against a disarmed population, the US and Israel pursue a shared objective of genocide, land and gas field theft. They ended Syria in a similar way, eliminating Syria’s defenses and “rehabilitating” CIA-created “ISIS” into the ruling party, elections always optional for our favorite allies. Gaza, Syria, and Iran today are seamless parts of the same Middle Eastern policy the US has wasted $6 Trillion and countless millions of lives in the past 30 plus years.
Trump stated in March that the US had flowed $350 Billion in arms and aid to Ukraine, much more than the additional $100 Billion from a host of countries. Trump’s off the cuff accounting came under fire in Europe. Either way, that war, like the one on Gaza, is fundamentally a US and NATO Goliath power play against a Russian David. In terms of purchasing power parity terms, the odds are six to one against Russia, yet we’re always the righteous victims of someone else’s ambition.

COVID boosters correlate with worse survival rates for cancer with third-most deaths: study
The Trump administration is getting pulled in opposite directions on its COVID-19 vaccine policy, sued by mainstream American medical associations for removing jab recommendations for healthy children and healthy pregnant women and pressured by jab opponents to further restrict the novel therapeutics, which continue to be mandated in some settings.
Now public health officials are faced with new evidence the jabs accelerate the cancer with the third-most deaths in the U.S and a five-year relative survival rate of 13.3%, which killed civil rights activist and Congressman John Lewis in 2020.
Researchers analyzing why pancreatic cancer survival rates at their Japanese hospital declined in 2022 and 2023, after years of steady increases, found a statistically significant connection between the number of mRNA doses taken by those patients and how quickly they died, even when considering "tumor, node, metastasis" (TNM) factors, surgery and chemotherapy.
Taking as little as the primary series and booster, which the Biden administration rushed through approval over the protests of its lead vaccine reviewers, is "associated with poorer overall survival in patients with PC," the Miyagi Cancer Center researchers concluded in the peer-reviewed journal Cancers, published by Swiss open-access publisher MDPI.

The canonical Roosevelt Hotel still stands closed after all the illegals were evicted
Under Biden, city officials turned the hotel over to housing illegals who were sneaking into the country. In 3.5 years, more than 155,000 illegals from 150 countries have passed through.
A room costs $200 a night. All 1,250 rooms were paid for by the authorities for 3.5 years, which brought the hotel owners $250,000 per day.
For 3.5 years, the good citizens of the United States flushed $840 million down the drain. The people's money has been spent, the illegals have been deported, and only the hotel owners are choking on tears of grief somewhere in the Bahamas.

Going nowhere: Case study finds 99% of Biden’s illegal immigrant ‘parolees’ still in U.S.
Just 1% of the illegal immigrants caught and released in a special test case two years ago have actually left the U.S., according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement data that underscores how difficult a job the Trump administration faces in trying to unwind the Biden border surge.
The numbers come from a group of 2,572 immigrants the Border Patrol caught and released in May 2023, just as the Biden administration ended the Title 42 pandemic border policy.
Thanks to a snafu, the administration defied a court’s orders in releasing the migrants and, for the past two years, has had to report on their status to U.S. District Judge T. Kent Wetherell II. The findings are stark.
They are among hundreds of thousands of migrants paroled into the U.S. in the Biden years. The previous administration was reluctant to share data about them and their status, but the test population from the court case gives unparalleled insight into a cross-section.

Beijing weaponized rare earths—how the West is responding
China doesn’t just dominate the mining of these elements but the entire value chain, which includes separating and refining rare earths, as well as manufacturing magnets.
Based on its near-monopoly, Beijing has weaponized rare earths in the U.S.–China trade war.
Under the new executive order to increase American mineral production, a mining project doesn’t have to have a customer “guaranteed to buy all or a portion of the output” to qualify for grants and loans, which makes the process faster, Melissa “Mel” Sanderson, a board member of American Rare Earths and co-chair of the Critical Minerals Institute, previously told The Epoch Times.
To achieve complete self-sufficiency in rare earths, Mushinski estimates that it would take between 10 and 20 years; 20 years if the United States works alone and closer to 10 if it works with allies.
The West is up against the near-monopoly that the Chinese regime has achieved in rare earths over the past three decades of effort.

Do they deserve it? Mexico is collapsing as the US deports illegals back home
Riots in Mexico city are breaking out and they are growing more violent by the day. Residents blame “gringo immigrants” and “digital nomads” for moving into the country and driving up food and housing costs. They also complain that white visitors are allowed to stay on their visas for far too long and that they refuse to “learn their language or respect Mexican culture”. Gee, that sure sounds familiar. Has Mexico gone MAGA?
No, this is nonsense. Perhaps in a handful of resort towns the case might be made, but the truth is that Mexicans are being propagandized into thinking US migrants are the cause of their woes when it is actually the mass return of their OWN CITIZENS from the US.
Some of these people have been deported by force, but armies of them are self deporting and the Mexican economy simply can’t handle the strain. The surge started in 2024, even before Trump took office, with many illegals leaving the US because of inflation as well as the expectation of a conservative election win.
The riots, though, are probably starting now because of the mass deportations. Mexico City in particular has been inundated with migrants, many of them from other countries in Central and South America, as they look for a new place to settle outside the US.

Why is the Minnesota shooter saying Tim Walz will cover up his real motive?
There’s a familiar pattern that plays out every time a tragedy occurs and the facts don’t line up with the preferred narrative of the left. The recent case of Vance Boelter, accused of murdering Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and wounding state Senator John Hoffman and his wife last month, is a textbook example. The media, along with the Democratic Party, wasted no time in weaponizing this horrific crime, eager to pin the blame on Republicans and, of course, Donald Trump.
Now, another bombshell has dropped. Boelter has given a jailhouse interview that takes a sledgehammer to the narrative the left was pushing.

The loony Left would be protesting something even if Kamala had won
They would have us believe that all of the rioting fuss is happening because of whatever pain President Trump is supposedly causing them. They blame him for everything. Given their penchant for rewriting history, they'd eventually have Trump eating the apple in the Garden of Eden. Yeah, they're secular heathens, but they would gladly culturally appropriate the Bible to fit a false narrative.
The Democrats are terrified of Trump being in office, but they'll probably be even more terrified when he's out of office because they'll have to work to find a new excuse. True, they have a history of demonizing Republicans, but they've built-up President Trump to be the biggest bad guy of all. They won't be able to effortlessly slip JD Vance, Ron DeSantis, or any other Republican under their bed to be the new monster.
As for today's headline, the real point of it was to point out that the modern American Left just drifts in and out of different kinds of awful. Santa Claus could be president, doling out presents every day and they'd take to the streets to protest until elves and reindeer were allowed to unionize.

EU's climate Leviathan: CO₂ trading scheme to cripple German drivers by 2027
Starting in 2027, a price shock at the gas station threatens drivers. The EU Emissions Trading System (ETS II) will be extended to include the transport and building sectors.
Another wave of price increases is rolling in. And yes, once again, the engine of inflation will be the European Union’s climate policy, as is so often the case these days. At the end of January, the Bundestag already approved the implementation of the reform of the European Emissions Trading System, which foresees the free trade of CO₂ certificates from 2027 onward in both the transport and building sectors.
What does this mean for everyday life? According to ADAC calculations, from 2027 onward, a price jump of up to 38 cents per liter of diesel or gasoline is expected — depending on market conditions, this could be even higher. For 2026, an increase of about 3 cents is already anticipated. For a family of four with two vehicles and 30,000 kilometers driven annually, the additional costs from the artificial scarcity of certificates quickly add up to between €500 and €800 per year. For many people living in rural or structurally weak regions, mobility thus becomes a question of price. Millions of commuters who depend existentially on their cars are left out in the cold. Politically, they play only a secondary role as paymasters of this spectacle. It is a scandal that the state already collects 54 percent at the pump and remains unsatisfied.
By strictly enforcing Brussels’ demand for free pricing of CO₂ certificates, Germany once again does a disservice to the productive part of society reliant on mobility. And this precisely at a time when the German economy is already stagnating under the weight of excessive climate regulation, suffocating bureaucracy, and overwhelming levies — trapped in a recession from which it cannot escape. The planned CO₂ pricing starting in 2027 is not only a social risk but also an economic blind flight that deliberately ignores the economic reality in the country.

Renewables fall short as fossil fuels reach new heights: Global energy transition stalls
Fossil fuels hit record highs in 2023, with coal consumption surging 9% globally, undermining climate goals.
Renewables provide minimal grid replacement and instead add to rising energy demand, worsening emissions. Asia-Pacific nations like China dominate energy consumption growth, relying on coal despite renewables expansion.
Transition costs for storage and infrastructure increase energy prices, risking public backlash against green policies.
Experts argue advanced nuclear technologies, not renewables alone, offer a viable path forward to curb emissions.
Global fossil fuel consumption hit a historic high in 2023, growing 1.5% even as solar and wind capacities expanded. The BP Statistical Review of World Energy reveals fossil fuels still supply 81.5% of the world’s primary energy, with coal demand spiking 9% — despite pledges to curb emissions. Analysts warn “the transition hasn’t even crossed the start line” as renewables fail to displace fossil fuels, merely piggybacking on rising energy demand. With carbon emissions up 1.1% globally last year, the data underscores a stark reality: The world may be deeper into its climate targets than its transition effort. Despite glowing headlines, wind and solar contribute minimally to grids.

'Deliberately avoiding them': How Big Tech quietly locks out Americans
'Evidence is overwhelming that companies like Meta, Apple, Microsoft, Google and others, despite consistently lobbying for more foreign-worker visas on the basis of a so-called talent shortage, are fully capable of finding qualified Americans'
In a time when Americans face mounting student debt, stagnant wages and increasing job competition, a little-known government program continues to certify hundreds of thousands of permanent jobs for foreign workers, even when qualified U.S. citizens are available, willing and able. The labor certification process known as "PERM" (Program Electronic Review Management) allows employers to sponsor foreign nationals for green cards only if no qualified U.S. worker is available.
But in practice, employers can exploit the outdated list of approved recruitment methods by avoiding major online platforms and even their own company career sites. Instead, they often use limited-access alternatives such as obscure job boards, local or ethnic newspapers, or short-duration radio ads that technically satisfy the rules on paper, but drastically reduce the chances that qualified U.S. workers will ever see or apply for the position.
Indeed, when employers go to such lengths to avoid recruiting qualified U.S. workers, even under a program like PERM that explicitly requires a good-faith labor market test, their own actions contradict claims of a shortage. The evidence suggests it is not that they can't find qualified Americans, it's that they are deliberately avoiding them.

Fourth estate ramps up the narrative machine
A dark turn for the nation’s media. The Fourth Estate seemingly decided that the verdict was an indictment of them all and took the judgment personally. What’s more, as one collective move, the left-leaning media has decided to back the Democratic Party’s latest strategy of claiming Trump has “killed the American Dream” with his Big Beautiful Bill.
What might be the greater indictment, however, is what the outlet did not cover. Of the more than 100 articles that graced the home page, not a single one mentioned the Democratic Party or its elected officials. That’s quite an achievement for an outlet that claims to be keeping democracy out of the dark.
And this was not a lone example. Rudderless and adrift, the current Democratic Party strategy is to claim that Trump is killing the American Dream. DNC Chair Ken Martin said of the BBB that “Republicans own this mess, and it’s an albatross around their necks heading into the midterms.” He and his colleagues apparently see this as the formula to press going into next year’s elections. “[W]e’re going to make sure every single voter knows who is responsible for taking away their healthcare, food, hospitals, and nursing homes,” he continued.
And he will – as the numbers clearly demonstrate – be assisted by the left-leaning Fourth Estate. As Mark Twain once noted, “If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you read the newspaper, you’re mis-informed.” So much for the media learning a hard lesson.

ICE is snooping on your medical bills
The immigration agency has reportedly gained access to a private database designed to fight insurance fraud.
The feds are vacuuming up a lot of data on Americans in the name of stopping illegal immigration. Their latest target? Your insurance data.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is now using data from the Insurance Services Office's ClaimSearch, a private industry service for detecting car and health insurance fraud.
The immigration cops didn't just start building their mass surveillance dragnets this year. In 2021, at the start of the Biden administration, The Washington Post reported that ICE was buying utility company records. While Customs and Border Protection (CBP) insisted in a 2018 report that it buys "only anonymized data" from third-party brokers, it has used commercial cell phone data to track and arrest specific people.
There's a whole, largely unknown ecosystem of commercial data brokers that sell information on citizens—often purchased through a confusing web of third-party services—to governments. And although there have been pushes from Congress and the Supreme Court to institute better privacy safeguards, the federal bureaucracy seems to be moving in the opposite direction.
