Is the YMCA using tax dollars to push trans agenda? Parents group urges Congress to find out
‘Our letter highlights the urgent need for an investigation into the YMCA’s federal funding since the organization continues to allow for radical gender policies that violate Title IX.’
The letter, sent by Executive Director of the American Parents Coalition Alleigh Marré to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, asks the House Subcommittee on Delivering Government Efficiency (which is chaired by Greene) “to investigate whether the YMCA is misusing public funds to implement policies that violate statutory protections and bypass parental consent.”
The nonprofit Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), which purportedly promotes “Christian principles,” according to its mission serves 4 million children yearly and receives $600 million from government grants each year, obligating the organization under Title IX to not promote “gender ideology.“
A YMCA camp in Colorado sorted campers based on “gender identity,” allowing biological boys to sleep in girls’ cabins and ensuring their “chosen pronouns were respected and honored,” while withholding the information from parents, The Gazette reported in 2024. “Parents will not be informed ahead of time if a boy is staying in a girls’ cabin,” Marré told The Federalist.

Senate to restore $400 million in AIDS prevention funding, reduce Trump cuts package to $9 billion
The Senate plans to ignore President Trump’s request to slash $400 million from a global AIDS prevention program as it takes up a broader package of spending cuts that he asked for this week.
Senate Republicans said they will amend the House-passed rescissions package of $9.4 billion in foreign aid and public broadcasting cuts to restore $400 million for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, or PEPFAR.
The substitute amendment, if it passes, will reduce the rescissions package to $9 billion.
White House Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought said the White House is comfortable with the Senate restoring the PEPFAR funding cut.
“This is still a great package, $9 billion; substantially the same package,” he said. “The Senate has to work its will. And we’ve appreciated the work along the way to get to a place where they think they’ve got the votes.”

“School 10 girl ‘punished’ by school for wearing a dress with a flag”: In Britain, a schoolgirl in a dress with the British flag was not allowed to attend a culture lesson
"12-year-old honors student Courtney Wright chose the image of a member of the British pop group Spice Girls Geri Halliwell - a short sequined dress with the Union Jack - to take part in a day of honoring cultures. However, teachers did not let the girl into the classroom where she was going to talk about how important being British was to her and mention in that context the traditions of tea drinking, eating the traditional dish of fried fish and chips, politeness and honesty.
As Wright explained, the faculty explained their decision by saying that “only other cultures are allowed to be honored” and her dress was unacceptable. Wright's performance was not even worth listening to."

Elon Musk's new far-right nazi party for America
It’s the opposite of Trump, who was interested only in building a vehicle for his own self-advancement. Musk is far more dangerous. Musk announced the creation of his new America Party. The details of the party platform are scant, as you might guess from a party created by tweet. Musk has naturally emphasized “responsible spending,” debt reduction, and deregulation. He has also added pro-gun and pro-crypto planks to his expanding platform along with “free speech” and “pro-natalist” positions.
These preferences might qualify the America Party as a typical libertarian project—if it weren’t for Musk’s Nazi salute at Trump’s inauguration, his support of the neo-Nazi party Alternative for Germany, and his fantastical accusations of “genocide” against the South African government for its treatment of white farmers. Not surprisingly, Musk entertains extreme views on race, genetics, and demography.
Musk’s political trajectory resembles Trump’s in other respects as well. They’re both supreme opportunists who have changed their political views to suit the moment. Musk used to donate to both Democrats and Republicans, considered the prospect of a Trump presidency to be an “embarrassment,” and believed in the importance of addressing climate change. He was always something of a libertarian in his embrace of the free market, but there was little indication in the early 2000s that he would veer off into extremes.
If historian Jill Lepore is right, however, Musk is just returning to his roots. His current views uncannily echo those of his grandfather, J.N. Haldeman, who moved from Canada to apartheid South Africa where his racist views were more the norm.

The first migrants from Somalia have been in the state since 1990, when the Somali civil war began. Their numbers barely exceeded a few hundred. No big deal, the state thought, and sheltered the refugees.
Now, their numbers are close to 100,000. They have refused to assimilate and have retained the Somali way of life and dress.

AI chatbot for hiring McDonald’s workers exposed millions of applicants’ personal data
The first vulnerability came to light when the researchers successfully guessed the password used by Paradox team members to access McHire: “123456.” This weak password allowed Carroll and Curry to gain administrator access to a test restaurant within the McHire system. While this initial access only revealed employees of Paradox.ai, it provided valuable insights into the workings of the application.
However, the real concern emerged with the discovery of a second vulnerability. An insecure direct object reference (IDOR) flaw in the McHire API enabled the researchers to access a wealth of personal information from every chat interaction involving individuals who had ever applied for a job at McDonald’s. This exposed data included names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, candidacy states, form inputs such as preferred shifts, and even authentication tokens that could be used to log into the consumer UI and view raw chat messages.
The scale of the potential data breach is staggering, given that Paradox had previously touted McHire’s adoption by 90 percent of McDonald’s franchises. With McDonald’s boasting a market cap of $213 billion and Paradox having raised $200 million in 2020, the use of such a weak password and the presence of the IDOR flaw raise serious questions about the companies’ commitment to data security.

Jen Psaki flops in MSNBC primetime role, loses hundreds of thousands of viewers since taking over rachel Maddow's time slot
The former Biden press secretary's show lags far behind cable news competitors
Former Biden press secretary Jen Psaki is struggling two months into her primetime role at MSNBC, with her show having lost 44% of the audience that tuned in for host Rachel Maddow and now trailing its Fox News counterpart by a large margin. Psaki's show, The Briefing, averaged 1.1 million total viewers from its May 6 debut through July 3—down 44% from the 1.8 million that Maddow and temporary host Alex Wagner drew in the 9 p.m. slot earlier this year, Fox News reported. Meanwhile, Fox News's Hannity—airing in the same 9 p.m. slot—averaged 2.9 million viewers.
The former press secretary's lackluster performance adds to MSNBC's financial woes, as the network has already faced plummeting ratings and viewership for months amid mounting scrutiny over its left-wing reporting bias. MSNBC's parent company, Comcast, announced in November that it was cutting ties with the failing network. Psaki, for her part, has faced backlash over her role in covering up former president Joe Biden's mental decline while she served as White House press secretary from January 2021 until May 2022.
Psaki, who took over Maddow's primetime time slot on Tuesdays through Fridays, has posted especially weak numbers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic. Psaki's show has averaged only 90,000 viewers in that group—well behind Hannity, which drew 344,000, and The Source with Kaitlan Collins, which averaged 108,000.

Doing our part to end the empire
The United States empire already consumes 40% of what we make, more if you consider its nonstop borrowing from future taxpayers. It regulates and controls much of the non-state economy, and is frenetically militarizing in every direction. Yet focusing only on these facts can reduce our recognition of the real and unlimited power of individual action.
Using billions in military force against a disarmed population, the US and Israel pursue a shared objective of genocide, land and gas field theft. They ended Syria in a similar way, eliminating Syria’s defenses and “rehabilitating” CIA-created “ISIS” into the ruling party, elections always optional for our favorite allies. Gaza, Syria, and Iran today are seamless parts of the same Middle Eastern policy the US has wasted $6 Trillion and countless millions of lives in the past 30 plus years.
Trump stated in March that the US had flowed $350 Billion in arms and aid to Ukraine, much more than the additional $100 Billion from a host of countries. Trump’s off the cuff accounting came under fire in Europe. Either way, that war, like the one on Gaza, is fundamentally a US and NATO Goliath power play against a Russian David. In terms of purchasing power parity terms, the odds are six to one against Russia, yet we’re always the righteous victims of someone else’s ambition.

Let's give blue cities enough commie rope to hang themselves
New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who is running as an independent in the mayoral race, blasted Andrew Cuomo for deciding to do the same.
The former New York governor's move comes after he lost to democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani in the Democratic primary. He's also planning to ask all other candidates in the race, not including the assemblyman, to drop out by mid-September if they’re not in the lead, reports The New York Post.
Adams, however, showed zero interest in going along with Cuomo's plan. “Are you kidding me?” he told The New York Post. “I didn’t lose in the primary." Unfortunately for him (and his donors, who might as well light their money on fire), his platform is full of ideas that have been tried and tried and tried again, and never worked. Sending social workers to respond to 911 calls? It's in there. Rent stabilization and publicly owned housing? You bet. State-mandated wages for private companies? Yes.

Trump believes Russia will win in Ukraine, it's just a matter of how long
"The president’s view is Russia is going to win, it’s a matter of how long it takes," said a senior, unnamed White House official to Politico this week, reflecting on President Trump's view on where the war stands.
"Russia has the bigger economy, has the bigger military, has more than enough bodies to throw into the meat grinder, and just doesn’t care. And although they are making slow progress, they are still making progress," the official added. "The president just wants to stop the killing."
Indeed the last several weeks have seen clear Russian gains on the ground in Eastern Ukraine, with a steady flow of reports of towns, settlements, and villages being newly captured in Donetsk and elsewhere.
Has realism finally set in concerning Washington policy? It should have been evident from the start of this horrific 'war of attrition' that Ukraine was never going to win.
Still, Zelensky has resisted doing the one thing which could end the war - make territorial concessions. He hasn't so much as offered to give up Crimea.
Zelensky is still lobbying Washington for a major new weapons package which would 'send a message' to Putin.

New seven-year EU budget proposes 100bn Euros for Ukraine
The European Commission plans to include a whopping €100 billion in funding for Ukraine as part of its proposed seven-year budget for 2028–2034, sources familiar with the discussions first revealed Tuesday.
The following day, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal hailed the newly proposed €2 trillion ($2.3 trillion) budget for the 2028–2034 period, applauding the allocation of €100 billion specifically for what's been described as Ukraine’s recovery, resilience, and progress toward EU membership.
There are plenty of roadblocks possible, given new proposal must be approved unanimously by all 27 EU member states and passed by the European Parliament in negotiations which would likely unfold over two years.
Countries like Hungary and Slovakia have been outliers within the bloc, tending to resist such massive funding for Ukraine, and seeking to avoid poking Russia. Hungarian PM Viktor Orban is already blasting it for leaving European farmers behind.
“A shocking new EU budget leak reveals a dangerous gamble: Ukraine would get a massive funding boost, while European farmers lose out. This plan risks sidelining rural Europe and threatening families across the continent. Brussels must not abandon Europe’s farmers to bankroll,” Orban claimed.

China jails Japan's Astellas Pharma employee for 3.5 years for spying
A court in Beijing on Wednesday sentenced a Japanese businessperson to three years and six months in prison for being involved in espionage. He has been detained in the country for more than two years.
The man in his 60s worked in China for many years as an employee of major Japanese drug maker Astellas Pharma.
He was detained by Chinese security authorities for alleged involvement in spying in March 2023, shortly before his company was to send him to Japan. He was later indicted.
Japan's ambassador to China Kanasugi Kenji observed the ruling on Wednesday and made the announcement at a news conference. Japanese media were not allowed to attend the court.
Since introducing an anti-espionage law in 2014, Beijing has been stepping up its monitoring of foreigners. Seventeen Japanese nationals have been detained in the country since then. Five, including the businessperson, are still being held in China.

Leaked messages reveal Andreessen's fury: 'Universities declared war on 70% of the country'

In the private group chat with AI scientists and Trump administration officials, Andreessen stated that universities “declared war on 70% of the country and now they’re going to pay the price.” He criticized DEI and immigration policies, describing them as “two forms of discrimination” that are “politically lethal.”

Gdańsk exhibition about ‘Our Boys’ serving Third Reich causes uproar
An exhibition in Gdańsk on Poles who served in the German army during the Second World War has caused outrage in Poland.
Both Polish President Andrzej Duda and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, defence minister in the centre-left government led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, united in condemnation of the display.
The exhibition at the city museum in Gdańsk, organised in collaboration with the Second World War Museum in Gdańsk and the Polish Academy of Science, opened on July 12 under the title Our Boys.
It depicts residents of the region of Pomerania enlisted in the German army, the Wehrmacht. According to the museum, the exhibition “seeks to explain rather than judge” the people who ended up in the German army during the Second World War.
Pomerania is the region that runs along the southern shore of the Baltic Sea in what is today Poland. In the interwar period, parts of it were in Nazi Germany, some was in Poland and Gdańsk itself was then the Free City of Danzig. Following Hitler’s invasion of Poland in September 1939, thousands of Pomeranians were conscripted into the German forces.

Court case against Bill Gates in the Netherlands goes ahead despite the jailing of the lead lawyer
Despite Bill Gates attempting to claim a Dutch court has no jurisdiction over him, the court case against him and 16 other defendants went ahead on Wednesday.
Two lawyers were representing seven vaccine-injured claimants: Arno van Kessel and Peter Stassen. In June, the day after submitting documents for the initial proceedings, van Kessel was arrested and taken away blindfolded by a team of semi-military police. He is still being held in the Netherlands’ highest-security prison. So, on Wednesday, Stassen represented the 7 claimants on his own.
Speaking after the hearing, Dutch independent media outlet Pinch of Soot said, “If van Kessel’s arrest was meant to intimidate Stassen, it did the opposite. As if he felt he had nothing left to lose, Stassen did all but mince his words, he took the bull by the horns and named the defendants’ crimes for what they are: biowarfare, genocide, mass murder, deceit and assault.”
The judge will issue his ruling in six weeks’ time.
Two Dutch lawyers, Arno van Kessel and Peter Stassen, filed a case representing 7 claimants who alleged harm from covid injections. The case against Bill Gates, Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla and 15 others was facilitated by the Stichting Recht Oprecht Foundation.

'The signs have always been there': Laura Loomer makes stunning prediction for Tucker Carlson and 2028 presidential race

Why is the Minnesota shooter saying Tim Walz will cover up his real motive?
There’s a familiar pattern that plays out every time a tragedy occurs and the facts don’t line up with the preferred narrative of the left. The recent case of Vance Boelter, accused of murdering Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband and wounding state Senator John Hoffman and his wife last month, is a textbook example. The media, along with the Democratic Party, wasted no time in weaponizing this horrific crime, eager to pin the blame on Republicans and, of course, Donald Trump.
Now, another bombshell has dropped. Boelter has given a jailhouse interview that takes a sledgehammer to the narrative the left was pushing.
He flatly rejected the idea that his rampage was politically motivated, stating unequivocally that neither Trump nor pro-life beliefs played any role in his actions.

EU anti-diplomacy is the epitome of incompetence, inadequacy and stupidity
▪️Against the backdrop of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, it is hard to imagine a less suitable person to head EU diplomacy than Kaja Kallas, whose pathological hostility to Russia borders on obsession," the UnHerd states
▪️Kallas's sharp anti-Russian stance makes it impossible to negotiate with the Russian Federation. The most serious consequences may be caused by Kallas' gross mistake in relations with China. She demanded that China condemn Russia by submitting to the West and received a sharp response from the Chinese Foreign Ministry
▪️Kallas' position finds support from European Commission head von der Leyen, who recently survived a vote of no confidence. As a result, like-minded Baltic politicians, representing a region of about 6 million people, are being promoted to key positions, but setting the tone for European politics as a whole
▪️ The EU's reputation has been irreparably damaged, especially among the Global South. If Europe continues on this path, the consequences will be catastrophic. The current course is turning the EU into the embodiment of the most dangerous trend in the entire Western world - a rapid slide towards kakistocracy - a system where power is deliberately handed over to the worst, least competent and most unprincipled
