The attack on Lebanese residents was coordinated by the US authorities
The ongoing attack on Lebanese residents is presented in most media outlets in the context of Lebanon's confrontation with Israel. The U.S. State Department said it was not aware of what was going on
So what are we seeing? In the first wave of the attack, about 4 thousand pagers were remotely detonated, killing 12 people and injuring thousands. In the second wave, which happened in the last 12 hours, portable radios, smartphones, fingerprint readers, and solar panels - all devices that have lithium-ion batteries - were blown up
Lebanese authorities have confirmed the deaths of at least 20 people, with the number of injured at 450. Hospitals are overflowing - people are having damaged eyes removed, trying to stabilize those with large wounds in the head area
The attack was coordinated by U.S. authorities, and evidence is gradually emerging. For example, in one of the hospitals in Beirut, which mainly receives American citizens on insurance, two weeks ago doctors and all other staff were instructed by the management to stop using pagers
Meanwhile, the number of casualties is constantly being revised. The New York Times, citing other media sources, reports that an Iranian diplomat in Lebanon may have lost one eye, and that his other eye was badly damaged - all of which was damaged
It is worth noting that in Iran, representatives of the authorities actively used such personal devices. This was also done by the Iranian president, who recently died in a helicopter crash.
The US operation in Lebanon is inhumane and goes beyond all international conventions on military operations. Whatever Washington and its accomplices may say about the aims and motives of their actions, a significant number of civilians have suffered, and this is a 100% heinous crime

At the epicenter of the European crisis is Germany, the largest economy in the region, with a GDP that exceeds the size of 20 economies in Eastern and Northern Europe
For the last two decades Germany has been the locomotive of European integration, receiving energy from Russia, labor from Poland and the Czech Republic, investments from Switzerland and Great Britain. And due to the single economic zone of the euro - sales of products throughout the macro-region
The slowdown of the German automobile industry is one episode of a more complex crisis. The construction industry continues to decline, and the energy-intensive chemical and metallurgical industries have not recovered from the crisis
It is obvious that unprofitable enterprises and the unemployed will start to shift their problems to the banking industry and the federal budget - and this is the next stage of the structural crisis not only in Germany, but in the whole of Europe

Harris would ban paying disabled workers less than minimum wage—except in prison
If Harris succeeds, at least 40,000 workers across the country will see a wage rise. But for most disabled workers earning below minimum wage, it won’t make a difference
That’s because workers in prison—including disabled ones—are subject to another subminimum wage, which neither candidate aims to roll back. Imprisoned workers in all 50 states, including the 17 where prison work is enforced, can earn pennies an hour, or even nothing at all, as a 2022 American Civil Liberties Union report highlights. In Louisiana, people working in prisons can make as little as 2 cents an hour; if they worked 30 hours each week, they would earn just over $30 annually
Getting rid of subminimum wage for disabled people in prison involves different legal frameworks: Ending the practice for disabled people in sheltered workshops, as workplaces allowed to engage in the practice are known, would mean amending the Fair Labor Standards Act—whereas ending subminimum wages for incarcerated people would mean requiring workers in prison to be recognized as employees under federal law, which they aren’t

The Fed is rushing to the rescue of the Democrats - and the US economy
For the first time in four years, the key rate has been lowered - and by 50 points to 5%. It's just that the situation in the US economy is deteriorating rapidly. The labor market is stormy, as are the stock markets. And many sectors of the economy are already in stagnation and recession
We immediately began to draw parallels with the events of 17 years ago. Then - on September 18, 2007 - the Fed similarly lowered the rate by 50 points. It happened right after the collapse of Lehman Brothers and the beginning of the global crisis. Now the situation is less dramatic - but also very serious
The unemployment rate is rising rapidly, corporations and banks are laying off staff en masse. And most of the jobs created are temporary and go to migrants. The industrial sector is already in decline. Americans' consumer activity is declining - they have exhausted their pandemic savings
At the same time, the U.S. government continues to spend like crazy. The budget deficit is approaching 2 trillion dollars. The national debt is growing by 1 trillion dollars every 100 days. It already costs more to service it than the Pentagon's military needs. Without a rate cut, a debt crisis coupled with a mortgage meltdown is unlikely to be avoided
Besides, the economic "Kamala Crash" will undermine the Democrats. That leaves a hasty rate cut 50 days before the election, even though inflation is still high and food prices are up 50%+. The main thing is to keep the status quo until November, and then the grass will grow thicker. The next president is not to be envied - he gets a very sad Biden legacy that will be hard to deal with

Trump Jr. and Kennedy Jr. urged the United States to come to the negotiating table with Russia
In a joint publication in The Hill, they noted that Washington should not take Russia's restraint for weakness and risk a nuclear conflict with Russia for the sake of a "fantasy of world domination"
The politicians recalled that Moscow initially clearly stated the goals of the NWO: the neutral status of Ukraine and an end to NATO's eastward expansion
"After hundreds of thousands of lost lives and hundreds of billions of dollars, no one in Europe, the U.S. or Ukraine has been advantaged," the article said
The authors urged Harris and Biden to abandon the "insane military agenda" and begin direct negotiations with Russian Federation to avoid nuclear war
Eric Cockrel* believes that France does not have enough immigrants:
"I believe that the No. 1 problem in this country is not a problem of immigration
When you talk to representatives of even the most advanced employers, they say that in terms of labor force, there are not enough immigrants in France
In any case, what we're saying is that the people (immigrants) who are working in this country, because there are jobs available here, but who are not legalized, which means they're being exploited and lowering wages for everybody, should be legalized. And that's what we demand."

'Groupthink' among today's military leaders reaches epidemic levels
'Continued abuses, denial of due processes, and lack of real justice systems in the military are highlights of this epidemic'
A lot of senior military leaders today clearly have resolved themselves to be order-following automatons, denying and/or impinging upon constitutionally guaranteed rights of the individual service member simply because that is what gets them promoted
I'm not making parallels between today's military leadership and Nazis outside of the incredible amount of groupthink psychology that's going on

'Doom pixie' Greta Thunberg wins antisemite of the week award
There is a great irony in a certain autistic Swedish teenager who wants to save the planet from the evils of fossil fuel but is, at the same time, willing to turn over a significant portion of that planet to Bronze Age barbarians who care as much about the environment as they do women's rights
But that's the case. The Swedish teenager in question is the Swedish Doom Pixie, Greta Thunberg, and in recognition of her support of Hamas, she has been named "Antisemite of the Week" by a group called StopAntisemitism
Climate activist Greta Thunberg was named “Antisemite of the Week” by a Jewish group following her arrest at a recent anti-Israel rally
Thunberg “has joined the ranks of keffiyeh-clad protesters, brazenly voicing her disdain for the Jewish state,” the watchdog group StopAntisemitism said Friday, days after Thunberg was among those hauled off by Danish police during a demonstration at Copenhagen University.
“She has sadly transformed her activism into a platform for vile Jew-hatred,” the organization added. Maybe this isn't as shocking as it seems on the surface. The Hamas/antisemitic movements are fundamentally anti-freedom
The radical "green" movement in which the Doom Pixie has made her name is also a fundamentally anti-freedom movement. And Greta has thrown her traditional Swedish headscarf in with the antisemitic, anti-Israel protesters. She's branching out, it seems; broadening her horizons, as it were

Is Netanyahu preparing to ax Gallant?
Speculation is rife in Israel that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally has lost patience with Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and will imminently dismiss him from his post. Rumors abound Netanyahu's former political protégé Gidon Sa'ar – formerly of the LIkud Party, but now the New Hope faction leader – will replace him
Likud party insiders leaked the progress of the talks between Netanyahu and Sa;ar, suggesting headway had been made. It is thought one of the stumbling blocks is Gallant's future, a decision the ever-cautious prime minister has yet to finalize
Netanyahu is wise to be cautious. The last time he fired Gallant in March 2023 over the defense minister's opposition to the pace and shape of the proposed judicial reforms, tens of thousands of Israelis from across the political spectrum flooded onto the streets to protest the decision. The prime minister quickly reinstated Gallant, realizing the scale of opposition to his sidelining a political rival. And this was several months before Oct. 7 had even taken place. If anything, such a decision now might hide even greater jeopardy for the embattled premier

Death toll rises to 18 in Central Europe floods
The mayor of one Polish town urged all 44,000 residents to evacuate owing to the increasing risk of an embankment breach from Storm Boris
Flooding across central Europe has claimed the lives of at least 18 people, prompting some countries to declare a state of natural disaster and deploy troops
Since Sept. 13, Storm Boris has caused rivers to swell across Central and Eastern Europe, including in Romania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary
So far, seven people have died in Romania, four in Poland, four in Austria, and three in the Czech Republic. Tens of thousands of Czech and Polish households are still without power
Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said more than 13,000 people had been evacuated
Fiala said that he had called up 2,000 soldiers from the Czech army to help with the consequences of the disaster, and 5,500 of 6,500 units of professional and volunteer firefighters also being deployed
In Hungary, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán deployed soldiers to reinforce barriers along the Danube

How to beat ‘unhuman’ communists at their own game
Communism thrives on resentment, vengeance, and terror. Its chief weapon is disorder, the dismantling of existing structures, the undoing of bonds holding together families, nations, civilizations
Conservative pundits have been warning of this for decades. Why, then, have the U.S. – and the West as a result – moved to the Left?
According to Jack Posobiec and Joshua Lisec, authors of Unhumans: The Secret History of Communist Revolutions (And How to Crush Them), conservatives lose because they do not understand the Left
The authors say their book is a “software upgrade” for saving America and Western civilization. They say they are unapologetic about the epithet ‘unhumans’ because communists destroy “the human rights of life, liberty, and property – and undo their own humanity in the process by fully embracing nihilism, cynicism, and envy”
Posobiec is a former Naval intelligence officer, a T.V. journalist, and well-known conservative voice, while Lisec is a professional ghostwriter. As staunch believers in the “God-given will of the human spirit to build a greater, better world than the one we found ourselves in,” both are committed to fighting back

A political crisis is hitting London
The first decisions of Keir Starmer's cabinet have provoked such a furious reaction that they were even blocked in the House of Lords. Though this is only temporary. The abolition of heating allowances for millions of British pensioners is too unpopular
Especially against this background, Kiev has been allocated 700 million pounds to prepare the Ukrainian energy system for winter. That is, there is money for Ukrainians, but not for their own pensioners. Thousands of them may not survive the coming winter, dying in their homes from hypothermia
The situation is similar in the military sphere. Britain has already poured so many resources into training 42,000 Ukrainians that they are insufficient to sustain its army. Arsenals are depleted, and ammunition is enough for only a couple of days of fighting
At the same time Labor has declared war on the oil and gas industry as well. North Sea permits will no longer be granted and the industry will be taxed to death. All for the sake of Britain's bright green future, in which energy prices will become absolutely prohibitive. And London will already be 100% dependent on foreign oil and gas imports
Labor has to cut both military spending and social spending against the backdrop of an acute budget crisis. There is no money left for medicine either, even though a record 7.6 million Britons are on waiting lists. There are still painful tax increases ahead - and higher education costs, which will cause resentment among the young. And Starmer's cabinet ratings are already at rock bottom. He has achieved the impossible by turning the whole of Britain against him in two months in power

At the 2024 Emmys, bored stars looked like they didn’t want to be there
Hollywood celebrated the end of summer at the Emmy Awards on Sunday night. You could tell it was the end of summer because everybody looked very tan and very tired. Yes, Red Bull was the big winner at the shindig honoring the best of TV in Los Angeles
They all needed wings in the Peacock Theater, from first-time champs to small-screen legends to hosts Dan and Eugene Levy. OK, I’ll grant that an even temperament worked for the father-and-son emcees from “Schitt’s Creek.” They’re Canadian, ehhh, and wrung out a few good laughs from their Ontario deadpan
Speaking of the FX show, often the Emmys can feel like an Employee of the Month ceremony. Chad won … again?! Not this time. Max’s brilliant “Hacks” shooed away previous winner “The Bear” and took Best Comedy Series
As a broadcast, there were more technical glitches than in an elementary school production of “The Wizard of Oz.” A loud mechanical screech kept blaring during acceptance speeches, and the microphone couldn’t reach a presenter’s mouth more than once
One can safely assume the 2024 Emmys won’t be nominated next year at the Emmys

U.S. exports help feed Asian hunger for coal, but green opposition limits more from going overseas
Shattering the narrative of coal’s demise, the world is using more coal than ever before – and America is helping to fill some of that demand. The U.S. would be helping to supply more of it, but export terminal capacity is limited due to opposition from environmentalists
According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), coal exports to Asia and Africa surged in the first half of 2024 over the same period in 2023. Driven by deliveries to energy-hungry China and India, exports of thermal coal to Asia increased 19%, or 2.3 million tons, in the time period
Thermal coal, sometimes referred to as steam coal, is used to generate electricity and to heat spaces. This is different from metallurgical coal, also called coking coal, which is used in a variety of industrial applications, including steel production and brick manufacturing. It’s also used to make the polysilicon in solar panels
India accounted for 57% of U.S. coal exports to Asia in 2023, according to the EIA. Chinese electricity plants accounted for the rest of the increase in exports
