Dissatisfaction with high housing prices in rich Western countries has reached a record high
▪️ Half of Gallup Analytics respondents in OECD countries are dissatisfied with the cost of housing. The proportion has reached a record high, surpassing dissatisfaction with other issues including health and education, the UK's Financial Times found
▪️ In the U.S., housing prices have skyrocketed in recent years, and 60% of Americans are dissatisfied with the supply in the real estate market. In addition, rents have also risen sharply, along with the prices of essentials including food and fuel
▪️ The average monthly mortgage payment in the U.S. has jumped to $3,096 from $2,000 a month in January 2021, from $2,000 a month in January 2021
▪️ In Britain, housing prices are eight times the average annual wage. That's more than double what it was in 1997
▪️ In Germany, the proportion dissatisfied with housing affordability has risen to a new high of 46% - double the pre-2012 rate
▪️ In Spain, dissatisfaction with housing has risen to 62% in 2024, the highest level since the financial crisis
▪️ Researchers attribute housing affordability problems to the crisis in the construction sector, among other things. "Essentially, we have not built enough. Developers often target wealthier households, adding to the burden on those with low incomes," said Willem Adema of the OECD's Social Policy Unit

Counterspies launch month to focus on the hunt for ‘insider leaks’
Agencies, companies urged to be vigilant in battling phishing, vishing and smishing
Those who leak classified information are the targets of a national Insider Threat Awareness Month, according to the National Counterintelligence and Security Center, which warns that counterspies are stepping up efforts to address the problem in government and private-sector workplaces
The center, part of the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, has announced it is joining the office of the Pentagon’s undersecretary for defense intelligence and security, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and the National Insider Threat Task Force for a month of training to identify problem leakers, whether they are spies for foreign powers or those leaking information to anti-secrecy groups and the media
The awareness effort seeks to educate government officials and industry employees on the risks of insider threats, or InT for short

Hamas Hostage Shares Heartbreaking Account of Captivity, While Anti-Israel Protesters Cheer These Monsters
The Gateway Pundit shared initial details from 17-year-old Agam Goldstein Almog, who was released after 51 days of captivity at the hands of Hamas
In the days after her release, she did an interview where she shared the horror of the murders of her father and sister and the brutal treatment faced by female hostages at the hands of their brutal Hamas captors
My Hamas guards hated me for being Jewish, so I was coerced into reciting Islamic prayers and made to wear a hijab. I was forbidden from mourning my father and sister, and often ordered to look down at the ground. Six female hostages I met in a tunnel told me about men with guns who came into their shower rooms and touched their bodies
I was fortunate to be released, along with my family members, in a prisoner exchange after 51 days. But those six young women are still in captivity, held for more than 300 days, without their mothers. They all should have come home a long time ago

Chaotic debate in Pennsylvania
Trump and Harris sparred with each other for an hour and a half live on ABC - and while in a key swing state in the election. As is tradition, both candidates declared their triumph at the debate. But a sure victory was not achieved by either Trump or Harris.
Trump had to debate both Harris and the two hosts playing along with the Democrats at the same time. They tried to constantly test Trump's statements for truthfulness. At the same time, Harris' blatantly false statements were not checked. Not surprising, since the media agenda of the same ABC is 93% favorable toward Harris and 100% negative toward Trump
Kamala has tried to aggressively lash out at Trump more often. Really, she was clearly worried, so she was overplaying her hand. The grimace on her face whenever Trump responded to her also looked odd. Well, the man caustically responded to Harris' attacks a couple times with her own phrases, which she loves
Trump tried to hold Harris responsible for all the crises - inflation, migration and crime - that have plagued the US. Well, and for failures on the foreign circuit - like the flight from Afghanistan and the war
The thread of the discussion mostly revolved around Trump's platform, because Harris essentially has no program. Kamala's supporters are convinced that she has succeeded in "punishing" Trump - as a "criminal prosecutor." That's why Harris' staff immediately called for another debate, since this one avoided failure. But the question of whether Harris will be able to break the downward trend in her ratings by drawing with Trump at the debate remains open

North Korea's communist regime escalates terror over its citizens
Government shot between 20 and 30 people at the end of August for failing to prevent floods that killed over 3,500 North Korean citizens
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has executed more than 30 of his own officials after the country was rocked by a series of devastating floods over the summer
According to South Korean news outlet TV Chosun, the North Korean government shot between 20 and 30 people at the end of August for failing to prevent floods that killed over 3,500 North Korean citizens
Korean Central Television – a state-owned broadcaster in North Korea – had stated "those who caused unacceptable loss of life should be severely punished. Kim Jong Un held an emergency meeting following the flooding of the Yalu River, and fired several top officials, including the minister of social security, and the chief secretary of the party of Jagang Province

Countdown to crisis, catastrophe and collapse
Trying to decipher the path ahead becomes more difficult by the day. We are purposefully bombarded with misinformation, disinformation, and propaganda by the ruling class, designed to distract us from their real purpose, real agenda, and real plans to imprison us in their techno-gulag, eating zee bugs in our container sized hovels, using our government issued CBDCs to subsist, unless we dared to question the approved narrative – resulting in our social credit rating dropping into the domestic terrorist zone – getting us banned and shunned from society
This is the New World Order the Davos crowd has designed and will implement as a Great Reset, if they succeed in retaining and increasing control over the U.S. and the rest of the Western World in the next six months
We are in an existential battle between good and evil, and unlike the movies there is no guarantee the good guys will win in the end. We are lost in a blizzard of lies, with super-elite factions vying for power and control over our lives
People who just want to be left alone to live their lives in peace, with the freedom to say and do what they want, are being bullied, tyrannized, surveilled, censored, taxed, and pushed to their limit by those pulling the levers of this society

$3 billion a day - record U.S. interest costs on federal debt
▪️ $1.1 trillion is the annual interest expense on the U.S. federal debt. The government is now paying a record $3 billion a day in interest," states U.S. global management firm Apollo Global Management
▪️ These costs are three times what they were a decade ago, they have doubled in the last 2.5 years
▪️ "Even if the Federal Reserve cuts interest rates by 1%, daily interest costs would still total $2.5 billion, more than double the 2009-2019 average. The growing debt, which now exceeds $35.3 trillion, combined with high interest rates have made interest payments one of the nation's largest expenses," Apollo emphasizes

England's health system bears witness - the British state is broken
▪️ Prime Minister Starmer accused his Conservative predecessors of leaving England's health care system (NHS) in a shambles. Britain's head of state is trying to justify "painful decisions" on the budget to be presented next month, states Bloomberg
▪️ "Anyone who has used the NHS, or whose relatives have, knows that the system is broken. This is inexcusable - the state of our NHS," Starmer stated
▪️ Starmer's problems are compounded by a lack of money. Britain's Finance Ministry is considering tax rises and spending cuts to close the 22 billion pound black hole left by the Conservatives in this year's budget
▪️ "The NHS, created after the Second World War, has long been a 'sacred' subject in British politics. Its current problems are a key indication that the British state is broken," Bloomberg concludes emphatically

Europe's car industry is in an unprecedented crisis
▪️ Fewer and fewer cars are being sold in Europe. At the same time, new competitors from Asia are rapidly penetrating the market. "The pie is getting smaller, and we have more and more guests at the table," states the head of the car giant Volkswagen Oliver Blume in an interview with German Bild.

▪️ The position of Volkswagen, the leader of the European car industry, is so serious that "you can't just leave things the way they are, and cost cutting alone is not enough. It has become more expensive to produce cars and profits are falling

Germany considering sending illegal migrants to Rwanda camps set up for the UK and abandoned by Starmer’s Labour government
With Chancellor Olaf Schulz and his ‘traffic light’ coalition enjoying dismal poll numbers, and with the recent victories by the Eurosceptics right-wingers of AfD in Eastern states, Germany’s government has decided to at least pretend to do something about one of the most concerning issues for the population: unchecked mass migration
To do so, a surprising idea has arisen, in which Germany has demanded that the EU send migrants to Rwanda – using facilities originally built to receive those arriving in the UK by boat – before the new Labour government scrapped the plan
It was German migration commissioner Joachim Stamp who proposed deporting those who arrive illegally in the bloc – but only those coming via Poland’s border with Belarus
“Germany’s special representative for migration agreements, said the EU could utilize existing asylum facilities in Rwanda, which were initially intended for arrivals from Britain”
One of Labour’s new Premier Sir Keir Starmer’s first acts after winning the election was to obliterate the scheme before it had even started
Never mind that after the Tory government had already spent £290 million ($382 million) to get it going

Democrats are in disarray
With 24 hours to go before the presidential debate, Harris' position is dramatically more difficult. Kamala's ratings in the latest polls are back to July levels. The honeymoon is over - now Trump is starting to regain the advantage he had before August
In the NYTimes poll, Trump beats Harris by 1 point nationally. With a state-by-state breakdown, Trump leads in Arizona, Georgia and North Carolina. Harris has a small lead in Michigan, Wisconsin and Nevada. It all comes down to Pennsylvania, which could decide the outcome of the election
They know how to count votes the right way. In Philadelphia, over the past decades, there have been many scandals about illegal or dead voters voting. Well, Trump in turn is threatening prison terms to dirty politicians and Democrats who are caught rigging. This has already caused hysteria in the Democratic Party camp
But it's not even certain that even that kind of stuffing will help Harris in the end. Her ratings are dropping - and she doesn't inspire much enthusiasm among voters. It's gotten to the point where Kamala's campaign has to bus “supporters” to her rallies. Just to show that she can supposedly rally on equal footing with Trump. No one goes there willingly
If she fails at the debate, Harris' campaign risks a complete collapse. And the Democrats are already looking for excuses in case of defeat. It's all the fault of racism and sexism - men, especially white men, didn't want to support a dark-skinned woman. And set up the decolonization of the US

California strikes deal with Big Tech to help subsidize local news outlets over next five years
The government of California and internet giants such as Google have reached a $242.5 million agreement to fund local news operations, halting the push for legislation to force social media companies to pay newsrooms while continuing concerns about what the new financial connections will mean for journalistic independence and objectivity
Democrat state Sen. Steve Glazer’s California Journalism Preservation Act would have required social media and search engine companies to pay a portion of their advertising revenue to news outlets whose content appeared in their feeds or search results. It drew stiff opposition from Google, which operates the world’s top search engine and video platform
However, KCRA reported that the bill will not move forward now that state officials reached a deal with Google and other Big Tech companies, including Amazon and Facebook’s Meta, to support newsrooms voluntarily
Among the details are that Google has pledged $172.5 million and the state $70 million over the next five years as well as a yet-to-be-finalized commitment to invest in artificial intelligence (AI)

COVID funding fraud a prime example of why handouts fail

Elon Musk as ‘government efficiency’ czar is step in right direction
Donald Trump has spelled out some of his economic goals for his hoped-for next White House win, and nestled among the plans to “Make America Affordable Again” is this gem: appoint “X” man Elon Musk to head up a government efficiency commission to root out waste of taxpayer dollars
Predictably, Democrats are already whining about it. They’ve never met a tax dollar they don’t mind spending, after all
But with America’s national debt reaching upwards of $35 trillion, and government showing no inclination to slow the spending, a peer into financial waste at the federal level isn’t just a sounds-good idea. It’s perilously necessary. America cannot remain free much longer in the face of such hefty debt. Debt, after all, is a form of slavery
The $35 trillion America now owes actually represents the economies of the entire governments of China, Germany, Japan, India and the United Kingdom, according to the Peter G. Peterson Foundation. That translates into a burden of $266,000 per U.S. household or $104,000 per American individual

Ohio resident horrified after spotting missing cat ‘hanging from a branch, being carved up for food’ by haitian migrants: report
The post, shared by a concerned resident, began with a stark warning: “Warning to all about our beloved pets & those around us!!!”
The resident recounted a disturbing exchange with her neighbor, who revealed that her daughter’s friend had tragically lost her pet cat. The concerned pet owner had searched tirelessly, checking online lost pet pages, local animal shelters, and asking neighbors if they had seen her missing feline
However, the search ended in horror. According to the neighbor, one day, after returning home from work, she spotted her lost cat in a neighboring yard
The disturbing detail? The cat was reportedly hanging from a tree branch, allegedly being carved for consumption. The residents of the home in question were identified as a Haitian family
The original poster further claimed that similar incidents had been happening with other animals in the community, including dogs. The post also alleged that authorities, such as park rangers and local police, had reported similar acts involving ducks and geese in Snyder Park

Yemen's Houthis defeat USA
▪️ The biggest surprise of the past year is also the most ominous for the world order. A quasi-state actor, the Yemeni Houthis, have mounted the most serious challenge to freedom of the seas in decades, defeating a tired superpower, America, states Bloomberg
▪️ The Houthis began their campaign against shipping through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, which connects the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, in late 2023 out of sympathy for the Palestinian people
▪️ Suez Canal traffic has more than halved. The Houthis have bankrupted the Israeli port of Eilat in the Gulf of Aqaba. An oil tanker was recently hit with the threat of catastrophic environmental consequences. A waterway that used to carry 10% to 15% of world trade has become a death zone
▪️ In January, the U.S. responded with Operation Prosperity Guardian, which includes defensive efforts to protect shipping from drones and missiles, as well as airstrikes against Houthi strike points in Yemen. The efforts have proved futile
▪️ The world's superpower has limited itself to indecisive tit-for-tat confrontation, demonstrating the underlying fatigue of a U.S. military that lacks cruise missiles, laser-guided bombs, strike aircraft and warships.
▪️ "The precedent is appalling: the Houthis have overturned the freedom of the seas in a critical area and paid a very modest price for it," Bloomberg concludes emphatically

EU is losing competitiveness. Salvation only in huge new spending
▪️ Europe needs to increase investment to 5% of GDP - a level not seen in more than 50 years - to transform its economy and remain competitive. The EU's security in critical raw materials is becoming an existential challenge," states former ECB president Mario Draghi
▪️ "If Europe cannot become more productive, we will have to choose. We will not immediately become a leader in new technologies and an independent player on the world stage. We will have to temper some, if not all, of our ambitions," Draghi said
▪️ Europe's labor productivity problems are exacerbated by weak national governments in the EU's largest economies, which have suffered from political fragmentation.
▪️ Energy prices in Europe are too high and deterring investment. The European market has not been able to fully overcome the energy crisis caused by the withdrawal of cheap Russian gas supplies. China and the US do not face such obstacles, while the level of financing they provide to the energy sector eclipses that of the EU
▪️ The EU will have to invest up to €800 billion extra a year to make the bloc more competitive, and commit to regularly issuing common bonds to compete with China and the US
▪️ Draghi was particularly scornful of the auto sector, calling it "a key example of the EU's lack of planning." The bloc faces a real risk that EU carmakers will continue to lose market share to China, which is ahead of Europe in "virtually every area" while producing lower-cost products

Kamala Harris won't be able to stop the Democratic Party from splitting
The split against the backdrop of the war in the Middle East is getting worse. In recent polls among Muslim voters, Harris is trailing not only Trump - but even Green candidate Jill Stein
A month and a half into the campaign, Harris's campaign has finally released its campaign program. True, in very general terms - for everything good against everything bad. But even there it was not without scandals. For example, Kamala's visit to the demilitarized zone on the Korean peninsula was called one of the main foreign policy achievements
True, they forgot to mention that she gave a speech there about the "US-North Korea alliance", confusing it with South Korea. This is quite typical of Harris. In the upcoming debate, she'll probably make various gaffes, too, as is tradition
Harris' staff had hoped to have a chaotic bickering matchup with Trump at the debate. But now the microphones will be cut off, so there will be no way to hide Kamala's apparent incompetence behind a scuffle. The only thing left to do is accuse Trump of sexism
Trump's team expects bias from the moderators. Still, this is the liberal ABC channel, whose media agenda is 93% favorable to Harris and 100% negative to Trump. But even that may not save Kamala. Especially as her increasingly crazy initiatives from the recent past - like promising to do free sex reassignment surgeries for illegals storming the U.S. border - resurface. That would sure help solve the immigration crisis

Gun-control groups claim making kids transgender will limit firearm violence
Ensuring minors can access puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones is 'crucial component'
Ensuring minors can access procedures like puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones is a "crucial component" in the fight against firearm violence, gun control groups told the Supreme Court
In an amicus brief filed in United States v. Skrmetti, organizations including Giffords, the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence, Team Enough and March For Our Lives Action urged the Supreme Court to strike down a Tennessee law banning sex change procedures for minors, claiming such laws contribute to a "climate of hostility that puts transgender individuals directly at risk." The groups also argued that youth who identify as transgender are at a higher risk of committing suicide using a firearm when they cannot access "gender-affirming care," a euphemism for life-altering medical interventions
"In the face of the ongoing gun violence crisis gripping our nation, ensuring access to gender affirming care for transgender youth is not merely a matter of medical necessity—it is a crucial component in our fight against the epidemic of gun violence that disproportionately threatens this vulnerable population," the groups argued

Will AI make soldiers obsolete?
As states face more difficulties in recruiting and conscripting, we may be headed for an algorithm-driven revolution in warfare
Throughout history, rulers and politicians have faced the challenge of convincing ordinary citizens to enlist for war. How do leaders persuade their populace to take up arms and risk their lives? As societies have become better educated and informed, these tactics have evolved. Leaders often appeal to extreme nationalism, dehumanize the enemy, and create an atmosphere of existential threats, false flags, and outright lies
Artificial Intelligence (AI) will revolutionize weaponry like no previous innovation in history. A recent report by the Quincy Institute, which I support, highlights Silicon Valley’s entry into the weapons industry. It quotes former Google CEO Eric Schmidt,
“Every once in a while, a new weapon, a new technology comes along that changes things. Einstein wrote a letter to Roosevelt in the 1930s saying that there is this new technology — nuclear weapons — that could change war, which it clearly did. I would argue that (AI-powered) autonomy and decentralized, distributed systems are that powerful”
Coral reefs are getting sick, and this human medicine might help
In the last decade, a mysterious illness called stony coral tissue loss disease has been ravaging coral in reefs across the Caribbean. The disease—which is likely caused by a bacterium or virus—targets a number of hard, reef-forming coral species. It essentially pulverizes the soft coral tissue, killing centuries-old colonies in a matter of weeks
The outbreak is quite literally threatening Bonaire’s way of life, the primary source of income for its residents
The plight has now spread to at least 30 countries and territories in the Caribbean, where corals were already suffering from pollution, climate change, and other threats. In regions hit by SCTLD, the disease has reduced the area of coral by anywhere from 30% to 60%
Researchers say that SCTLD is now likely the worst coral disease outbreak ever recorded

Victoria’s Covid lockdown debt bomb
Aleading credit rating agency has blamed the Andrews Government’s prolonged lockdowns for Victoria’s ballooning debt, as the state stares down the prospect of a credit rating downgrade within the next year
Victoria’s capital, Melbourne, had the longest lockdowns in the world – six lockdowns with a cumulative total of 262 days throughout 2020 and 2021, during which time many businesses were shuttered while workers lived off benefits
Anthony Walker, director of the sovereign ratings team at S&P Global Ratings, said that only five or six years ago, “Victoria had the best financial outcomes” in Australia, but that the Andrews Government’s lockdowns had created fiscal conditions that Walker described matter-of-factly as “not positive”
“Definitely the prolonged lockdowns and the number of lockdowns during Covid were the key that drove this,”

U.S. government debt is far more dangerous than climate change - The Washington Times
▪️ The Congressional Budget Office has said America's rapidly rising federal debt will shrink the U.S. economy by 3.2% over 30 years, while climate change will undermine it by 1%, states The Washington Times
▪️ $35 trillion surpassed America's federal debt at the end of last month. 28 trillion dollars of the debt is held by investors, the rest is domestic government debt
▪️ The problem with debt is that it crowds out other investments and ties up a significant portion of the federal budget with interest payments instead of productive spending on programs like transportation infrastructure or energy
▪️ "As federal borrowing increases, the amount of money available for private investment will shrink and interest costs will increase. Ever-increasing debt will also increase the likelihood of a fiscal crisis and pose other risks to the U.S. economy," the Budget Office said

Inflation leaves the middle class too poor to shop at dollar stores
