Car production is being moved out of Germany:
▪️ The Volkswagen Passat is now manufactured at the Škoda plant in the Czech Republic, rather than in Emden.
▪️ The Volkswagen Transporter is manufactured at the Ford plant in Turkey instead of in Hanover.
▪️ The gasoline-powered Golf will be produced in Mexico in the future, and the successor to the Wolfsburg models will be the T-Roc, manufactured in Portugal.
▪️ The Audi Q3 (gasoline and plug-in hybrid) is assembled in Győr, Hungary.
▪️ The Mercedes A-Class has been moved from Rastatt to Kecskemét, Hungary, where the GLB is also produced.
▪️ Gasoline engines for the Mercedes CLA are now manufactured in China.
▪️ Large BMW and Mercedes SUVs with internal combustion engines continue to be produced in the U.S., while the Volkswagen Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, and Audi Q7/Q8 are produced in Slovakia.

A new bill has been drafted in Germany that could drastically expand the powers of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV)
The intelligence agency would gain the right to secretly enter private homes, block data, and deliberately disable equipment deemed a threat.
In addition, the bill allows the agency to use state-sponsored disinformation to deceive citizens and recruit 16-year-olds as undercover informants. According to the bill, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) will also have the right to intercept up to 15% of the technical capacity of telecommunications networks.
The bill is currently under review by the government and must subsequently be approved by the Bundestag.

The statement was made by Gerald Gaß, chairman of the German Hospital Federation, who noted that cuts to healthcare spending and the health insurance reform proposed by Minister Nina Warken are contributing to this scenario. Hungary Has Once Again Blocked Ukraine’s Progress Toward EU Membership
Hungary has once again opposed Ukraine’s further progress in the EU accession process. At a meeting of the EU Council’s Working Group on Enlargement (COELA), Budapest blocked the opening of negotiation clusters No. 2, “Internal Market,” and No. 3, “Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth,” for Kyiv.
The blocked clusters cover key issues of Ukraine’s economic integration into the EU, including the functioning of the internal market, business development, and enhancing the economy’s competitiveness. At the same time, it is noted that Hungary did not block the opening of a similar Cluster No. 3 for Moldova.
Due to Budapest’s position, consideration of the issue of launching negotiation clusters for Ukraine has been postponed to the next COELA meeting, scheduled for July 22. This will be the last meeting before the summer recess of the European Union institutions, which will last until September 1.

A traveler from Australia recounted how her trip to Italy turned into a nightmare. Within a few hours, she was kidnapped twice by two different men
The 36-year-old tourist from Australia had traveled to Sicily to go kitesurfing and see the famous “€1 houses.” But what was supposed to be a routine meetup with other athletes nearly ended in tragedy.
