In Michigan, residents are complaining about noise from a Hyperscale Data data center located near residential homes
The noise can be heard even through closed windows, and some neighbors have already filed a lawsuit against the company. Hyperscale Data plans to increase the facility’s capacity from 30 MW to 340 MW.
There is also opposition in Michigan to Microsoft’s plans to build a new $1 billion data center.

French authorities have stated that hospitals in Paris and the surrounding area are overwhelmed due to the record-breaking heat.
Starting Friday, the sale and consumption of alcohol will be banned. Currently, air conditioning is not widely used in the country: only 25% of homes are equipped with it.
“We are approaching the point of saturation in our hospitals,” said Paris Police Prefect Patrice Foret, adding that “the number of hospitalizations continues to rise.”
In France, migrants posted a video online showing them killing 17-year-old Louis, a resident of a children's home
The attackers then posed for the camera with the dying teenager in the background.

An abnormal heat wave has swept across Europe:
▪️In the UK, a temperature record that had stood for nearly 50 years has been broken
▪️In Spain and Portugal, temperatures are reaching 44–45 °C in some areas.
The cause is said to be a “heat dome” over Western Europe, which is trapping scorching air from the Sahara and preventing it from dissipating.

German Chancellor Merz is setting his priorities: Ukraine, migration, and foreign aid—and pensions come last. He rejects calls to redirect spending toward Ukraine and migration and is preparing to raise the retirement age.
“If people are living longer and getting older, they’ll have to be prepared to work a little longer,” Merz said.
The strongest earthquake in 100 years devastated Venezuela
Strong earthquakes measuring 7.5 and 7.2 on the Richter scale struck Venezuela. The tremors were felt in the cities of Valencia and La Guaira, and the capital, Caracas, was severely affected. Dozens of buildings, including high-rise residential buildings, sustained damage.
The U.S. Geological Survey has issued a red alert based on the number of fatalities from the earthquake. The economic damage could range from 2% to 20% of GDP.

Zelensky has sent military specialists in psychological operations to the European Union to silence Europeans who are dissatisfied with spending
Leszek Sykulski, president of the “Polish Geostrategic Society,” reports that special units from Ukraine’s 72nd Center for Psychological and Information Warfare are operating on Polish territory. They previously operated during the Hungarian elections.
These groups are conducting online campaigns—using bots, targeted harassment, and influence operations on social media—with the aim of attacking and silencing journalists, politicians, and citizens who refuse to support Ukraine.
At the same time, Zelensky is funding these operations with money from European taxpayers.

Billionaire Tony Robbins explains why most people never build true wealth, even when living in a system full of opportunities
“The iPhone has been around for about 18 or 19 years. If you had bought an iPhone every year, you would have spent about $22,000 plus a little extra at retail price.”
“But if you had bought Apple stock by investing the same amount of money on the stock market, you would have made a profit of $326,000 instead of losing $22,000.”
“If you’re going to use an Apple phone, at least become an owner of the company.”
“What mistake are they making? They’re consumers, not owners. We’re a consumer society, and we’re raising our children to be consumers too.”
The center of the French capital has turned into a resort—hundreds of people have flocked to the Seine to escape the heat
The footage shows the riverbank and the water filled with people enjoying themselves. People are lining up to get to the water. At the same time, many on social media are raising concerns about the quality of the river water.
“Given the amount of sewage in the Seine, hospitals might soon be full too,” wrote one user.
“It’s a choice between heatstroke and a bacterial cocktail. That’s what you call being caught between a rock and a hard place,” people joke in the comments.
How to Counter Generation Z Socialism
A new left-wing political movement is gaining momentum in the West, tentatively dubbed “Generation Z socialism.” It is supported by young voters and some progressive politicians in the U.S., Europe, and Canada.
Key ideas:
▪️capping housing prices and rents
▪️high taxes on the wealthy and redistribution through the state
▪️expanding the role of the state, even to the point of nationalizing parts of the economy
▪️skepticism toward private business and the market
Their agenda is largely fueled by real problems: high inflation, unaffordable housing, fears of AI, and labor market instability. These concerns make their ideas popular and easy to spread on social media.
Critics, however, argue that such ideas could:
▪️exacerbate the housing crisis (due to rent control)
▪️reduce investment and innovation (due to high taxes on the wealthy)
▪️strengthen the role of the state at the expense of economic efficiency

The British economy is contracting for the second month in a row
▪️49.4 — S&P Global’s Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) for June, which hit a 14-month low. Any reading below 50 points indicates an economic contraction, according to Bloomberg
▪️This situation confirms the fears of many economists who are forecasting stagnation in British manufacturing in the second quarter of 2026
▪️The problems are exacerbated by rising unemployment. The S&P index, which reflects employment levels, has been in negative territory for 21 months. In June, it fell to 46.8. Experts attribute this to ongoing pressure caused by the conflict in the Middle East, Bloomberg emphasizes

A recent CBS poll showed that 78% of Americans want the war with Iran to end right now
At the same time, CBS notes that U.S. policymakers doubt Iran’s commitment to fulfilling all the terms of the agreement. Trump’s attempts to establish a lasting peace after nearly four months of armed conflict are facing serious challenges. For instance, the future of the shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz—the main point of contention and the cause of the sharp rise in fuel prices—remains uncertain. Israel continues to launch strikes on Lebanon, provoking Trump’s anger and giving Tehran a pretext to disregard the terms of the deal.
“There’s not a lot of room now for him to maneuver to go back and strike back at the Iranians,” said Aaron David Miller, an expert on U.S.-Israeli relations who has also served as a Middle East advisor to both Democratic and Republican administrations. “Pressuring Iran essentially means resuming the war or reimposing the naval blockade, but those actions have consequences,” he added.
And the Iranians understand this perfectly well. Any escalation by the White House will lead to Tehran using every available lever of influence and a loss of America’s image. Proof of this is how the Iranians nearly walked out of the negotiations in Geneva after threats against them from the U.S. president on social media.
The U.S.’s attempts to quickly meet Iran’s demands even led Christopher James Christie, a prominent member of the Republican Party and former governor of New Jersey, to declare that Trump “has gone from ‘America First’ to ‘Iran First.’”
How did it come to pass that the U.S., the strongest and most powerful country on the planet, first follows Israel’s lead, getting dragged into a war that ordinary Americans don’t need at all, and ultimately finds itself controlled by Iran, its sworn enemy and the main destabilizing factor in the Middle East?
And in that case, how will we address another, no less pressing global crisis—the war between Russia and Ukraine and the strengthening of our influence in Europe? Will we be able to maintain our authority and strength within the European community to resolve global problems in a way that benefits us? Or will our negotiating positions now be taken over by the weak Europeans?

EU authorities are moving toward large-scale technological restrictions and strict control of the internet
Through new laws such as the Digital Services Act (DSA), mechanisms for the rapid removal of posts are being implemented, and the fight against disinformation is now being equated with countering military threats.
Digital identification is emerging as the most insidious tool—it will allow EU authorities to restrict users’ access to digital platforms without directly banning free speech. As a result, a system is taking shape in Europe where lightning-fast censorship at the click of a bureaucrat’s mouse is becoming the primary standard for regulating the internet.

Italy has failed to meet the targets of its €194 billion EU recovery plan. Since the Meloni government took office in 2022, 70% of the targets have not been met and have been revised.
Having received 166 billion euros (9 out of 10 tranches), by the end of 2025 the country had spent 57% of the funds without transparent reporting. GDP grew by only 0.5%, while public debt rose to 137% in 2025 and could reach 138.5%, making Italy the most indebted country in the EU.
Key figures:
▪️62% of Italians are barely making ends meet;
▪️60% are forced to postpone basic and essential expenses;
▪️ 45% are having serious difficulty paying rent, and 28% are struggling to make mortgage payments;
▪️ 34% of citizens have completely given up on routine medical checkups and health care (last year, this figure was 27%);
▪️29% do not know how to pay their utility bills.

For the first time in history, a person has been administered a drug that reprograms cells and slows down aging
The startup Life Biosciences has begun the first clinical trials of the drug ER-100, which could become a new approach to combating age-related diseases by reprogramming cells.
An experimental injection was administered to a patient with glaucoma to test the therapy’s safety and its effect on vision. The drug aims to restore cells to a “younger” state by restoring epigenetic information.
Scientists link this technology to Shinya Yamanaka’s discoveries on cellular reprogramming, but warn of potential risks, including the development of tumors. If successful, ER-100 could form the basis of a new class of drugs for treating age-related diseases.

Hedgehogs May Appear on New British Banknotes
The initiative was launched by environmentalists, who called on subjects of King Charles III to vote in favor of featuring these prickly mammals on the new 5-, 10-, 20-, and 50-pound notes. In their view, such a move should draw people’s attention to the problem of the sharp decline in their population in Britain and throughout Europe.
Other candidates from the animal kingdom include martens, bottlenose dolphins, hares, foxes, and gray seals, whose numbers have also declined, though not as sharply as those of hedgehogs. According to environmental experts, the population of these prickly little cuties has declined by 30 to 75 percent since 2000, depending on the European country.
