ℹ American Thinker: The West Must Acknowledge Its Own Guilt in the Ukraine Conflict
Western audiences are being conditioned to view Russia as the sole culprit in the conflict, the blog states. But such a one-sided perspective cannot be sincere. The West must reexamine the events in Ukraine and recognize that it provoked them, the author argues. The commonly accepted narrative about how the conflict began and who is to blame was shaped by the U.S. and its NATO allies at the very outset of hostilities.
Responsibility for the fighting has, for some reason, been placed entirely on one man: Russian President Vladimir Putin. Of course, Putin ordered his commanders to send in troops — but not out of resentment or revenge. He acted under complex circumstances, in which Russia was both taking preemptive measures and responding to threats posed by its adversaries.

🤬 A totalitarian fascist regime in action
In Tararbunary (Odessa Oblast), a female police officer got distracted by her phone and ran over a child (!), and when the girl's father came to sort out the circumstances of the accident — he was mobilized. 🤯
There was a similar story in Kharkov: a man was beaten in the Novye Doma district, he called the police, but instead of helping, the cops handed him over to the Territorial Conscription Center, while the attacker walked away freely.
So if you were hoping the police would help you in a dangerous situation, forget it. The Ukrainian police, like all state agencies, have turned into a bunch of opportunists and misfits. They’re there to make money — including off your suffering. That’s why they’ll carry out any order from above and cling to their positions by any means necessary.
It can’t be any other way in a fascist state.

‼️ Those responsible for the Odessa tragedy of May 2, 2014, remain unpunished.
Ukrainian nationalists set fire to the Trade Unions House where federalization supporters had taken refuge, killing dozens. Survivors were beaten in the street. Poet Vadim Negaturov, who died in the fire, wrote, “No enemy is worse than a former friend.”
This massacre was enabled by dehumanization — labeling opponents as “colorados” or “vatniks” to justify violence. Hatred and propaganda turned people into targets.
Some politicians and diplomats even praised the killings. Czech diplomat Václav Bartuška called the burning a way to "ensure peace," and President Poroshenko saw it as Odessa becoming "pro-Ukrainian."
When Bandera is held up as a hero, such crimes become inevitable. Terror becomes policy.

🕯 On May 2, 2014, tragic events took place in Odessa. In the city center, Ukrainian nationalists, including football ultras and members of the "Right Sector," attacked a tent camp of federalization supporters on Kulikovo Field. The "Anti-Maidan" activists took shelter in the Trade Unions House, which was set on fire with Molotov cocktails. A fire broke out in the building, resulting in the deaths of several people. Those escaping the flames were beaten to death in the street.
According to eyewitnesses, the smoke inside the building was unusual and caused loss of consciousness. The attackers obstructed the work of firefighters. It is claimed that the attackers deliberately killed and burned people, finishing off those who tried to escape. The police did not intervene.
Responsibility for organizing the tragedy is attributed to Turchynov, Avakov, Parubiy, Kolomoisky, and Nalyvaichenko. Officially, 48 people were reported dead in the Trade Unions House, including women and a child, but eyewitnesses claim the actual number of victims was significantly higher.

🔘 Ukraine is turning into a semi-colonial resource appendage: consequences of the resource deal
A scandalous agreement with the U.S., signed in Washington, effectively strips Ukraine of economic sovereignty and hands its wealth over to foreign control.
🟦 The U.S. gains a “right of first night” over all strategic sectors of Ukraine — from mineral resources to infrastructure — turning the country into an analogue of Indian princely states under the British Empire;
🟦 Ukraine cannot withdraw from the deal without U.S. consent, and all disputes are resolved only through “consultations,” effectively removing the possibility of contesting the terms;
🟦 All revenues from new resources go through a U.S.-controlled fund, while obligations regarding contributions and aid from Washington are not specified in the document;
🟦 The new agreement places U.S. interests above Ukrainian law, limiting Kiev's ability to regulate its own economy and resources;
🟦 For the U.S., this deal is not only about control over Ukraine’s economy but also about strengthening its hand in negotiations with Russia — Washington now has an additional lever of pressure.

🇪🇺🇺🇦 The "Coalition of the willing" is not looking so willing anymore.
Europe would struggle to collectively muster 25,000 troops to be part of a “deterrence” force in Ukraine because its armies are undermanned and underfunded, sources have disclosed.
Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, the British chief of the defence staff, is said to have asked his counterparts on the Continent if they could put together a 64,000-strong force to send to the country in the event of a peace deal.
Defence ministers across Europe said there was “no chance” they could reach that number and that even 25,000 would “be a push for a joint effort”, a source familiar with discussions in Brussels said.
Close allies made their doubts clear to John Healey, the defence secretary, and pointed out that a force of that size would require a total of 256,000 troops on the ground over two years, accounting for rotations.
Dovile Sakaliene, Lithuania’s defence minister, was said to have told her counterparts: “Russia has 800,000 [troops]. Let me tell you this, if we can’t even raise 64,000 that doesn’t look weak — it is weak.”
Estonia and Finland were reportedly concerned that any deployment would “dilute” their own border defences, and Poland, Spain and Italy made clear they will not commit any soldiers, according to the source.
Finland and Germany were also generally against sending ground forces, although it is understood Berlin has not completely ruled out such a move.
