The problem is 'liberal democracy' itself. A concept that has only really been in existence in the post 1945 world.

NATO appoints former Dutch PM Mark Rutte to be their Secretary General replacing Jens Stoltenberg.
Rutte has visited Israel multiple times since October 7th and helped facilitate transfers of weapons to the country.
He also went out of his way to provide weapons to the Zelensky regime in Ukraine.
Rutte has never married, has no children and lives as a 'single man' in The Hague...

As David Clews pointed out last night the war in Iraq, which was clearly done to assist Netanyahu in taking out a regional foe of Israel, cost around 6 TRILLION DOLLARS and thousands of US deaths.
Whilst the Ukraine conflict is brutal and unnecessary total US support is said to be around 175 billion dollars which is less than 3%.
Much of the disagreement you are witnessing is attempts to stop supporting Ukraine in order that sufficient weapons and cash is in place to support their upcoming conflicts which will dwarf the Iraq war.
Not one single mainstream politician standing at the time spoke out against this needless farce.
In fact EVERY ONE OF THEM banged their pots, Sunak, Starmer, Farage, Davey, Swinney etc and joined in the chorus demanding even more PPE be bought etc.
