Getting a social media account like Facebook, Twitter/X or anything else and being completely untraceable:
1. Do not use your real name, date of birth, photograph or location when you set up an account
2. Get a throwaway email address to validate your account. This is free. Sites like this will give you this: https://temp-mail.now/
Never use your actual name in the body of an email address for this purpose.
3. To validate a social media account, you will need a mobile phone number. Do not use your real mobile phone number.. Get a temporary one you can use online only to validate accounts, then bin it straight away. https://quackr.io/ is the best website for this.
You cannot be traced by any institution anywhere if you follow this protocol. This is why the police could not trace many of Twitter/X people who posted wrongspeech after the Southport events.
More generally, people should always have another email address which does not have their name in it, and/or they want to use for stuff they don't want on their usual email account. If it's too late for that and you have an email address like johnsmith@googlemail.com that you've had for years and use for business and you can't change, get a free, secure Protonmail account at www.protonmail.com and make sure you are not identifying yourself by using your own name in the body of your new Protonmail email address. Use that email for stuff you don't want on your normal email account.
Tips
Never use the same password online twice, or combinations of the same password.
Never use the same username for more than one account. Many people do this. From one username. I can find all their other accounts online and find out all about them, even if they think they are anonymous. There are many tools for this - even basic ones like this will find people https://www.supereasy.com/people-search/social-media-search/ but there are many far better hacker tools on the dark web.
The other obvious reason to not use your own name in your email address, and never to use same username or passwords repeatedly is that it puts you at real risk if you get pwned. Find out and then make sure you can get your security in order. Very useful and free to check https://haveibeenpwned.com/
The above will be obvious to you, but it isn't to most people.
