Читать полностью…Another day, another honest babu arrested for corruption.
Meet Odisha IAS officer Dhiman Chakma. A businessman running stone crusher units in Kalahandi had audacity to complain after the honest and upright officer asked for a mere ₹20 lakh bribe.
The Vigilance Dept laid a trap and caught the honest and upright officer red-handed with ₹10 lakh in hand, and an additional ₹47 lakh was recovered from his residence.
This was 2021 batch Chakma's first posting. The honest and upright officer was merely taking baby steps toward bringing positive change and prosperity to society, starting, of course, with his own prosperity. Nobody should mind that. But that selfish businessman and the jealous Vigilance Department crushed his noble mission, leaving the public high and dry.
Who will bring prosperity to the people of Kalahandi now? What a tragic loss!
