We all remember when Ukraine was granted the EU candidate status more than a year ago.
We all remember when the flag of the European Union was brought into the session hall of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
We all remember the commitments Ukraine made to implement the recommendations of the European Commission.
This week, the Ukrainian Parliament will consider a number of draft laws related to our progress towards the EU.
In particular, draft law No. 9534 on the restoration of electronic declaration and draft law No. 9269-d on PEPs.
Therefore, I urge all parliamentary factions and groups, all members of the Ukrainian Parliament to support these draft laws in the form that will allow us to fulfill our obligations.
The success of our country's path to the EU depends on our vote.

The world must create a special international tribunal to prosecute the crime of russian aggression against Ukraine, and putin and his henchmen must be held accountable for international crimes.
Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon made this appeal, which was shared by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Estonia on social media.
In his opinion, a special resolution of the UN General Assembly is needed to establish such a tribunal. The special tribunal will close the legal gap. After all, the current International Criminal Court cannot prosecute the crime of aggression because russia has not ratified the Rome Statute, and it vetoes the UN Security Council's decision. Ban Ki-moon also called for broad support for the special tribunal in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

The 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh, the 36th separate marine brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi, the 148th separate artillery brigade, the 82nd separate air assault brigade, the 109th separate territorial defense brigade, and stabilization points where our warriors receive medical aid.

🔹NATO has no desire to be engaged directly in a war with russia. Everything possible is being done to ensure that the war is on the territory of Ukraine.
🔹To win the war, we need very fast help. If we had received it last year, the Armed Forces could have recaptured much more Ukrainian land.
🔹It is unlikely that the Parliament will not vote for the new candidate for Defence Minister Rustem Umerov. But there will be misunderstandings with all ministers if we do not return the practice of communication in the Parliament, an hour of questions to the Government.

The role of Public Broadcasting in post-war Ukraine was discussed during the conference "Public Broadcasting: Reform in Time of War".
The media space is changing, and one of the tasks is to improve and meet current needs. It is important to respond to and follow trends. For example, people now consume most of their information on social media, which is also a matter for reflection. The world is moving forward, the media market is not standing still, and it has transformed in Ukraine.
At the same time, the public broadcaster should also move towards developing its product and content and move away from non-core activities. Personally, I watch certain products of UA:PBC and consider them not only competitive but also unique, in particular, music projects.

Agrarians of 17 regions have finished harvesting rapeseed, — the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy:
🔹 According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of the last day of summer, agrarians of all regions of Ukraine have harvested more than 33 million tonnes of new crops, including 29 million 184 thousand tonnes of grains and more than 4 million tonnes of oilseeds.
Grain and pulses were harvested on an area of 6,642 thou hectares with a yield of 43.9 c/ha, in particular:
🔹 wheat was harvested on 4,688 thou hectares (yield 47.2 cwt/ha), with 22,142 thou tonnes harvested
barley: 1,498 thou hectares (yield - 38.8 c/ha), harvested 5,809 thou tonnes;
🔹154 thou hectares of peas were threshed (yield - 25 c/ha), 385.7 thou tonnes were harvested;
🔹buckwheat was harvested on 19.8 thou hectares (yield - 14 c/ha), with 27.7 thou tonnes harvested;
🔹millet was harvested on 16.7 thou hectares (yield - 20.4 c/ha), with a total harvest of 34.1 thou tonnes.
🌾 Ukrainian agricultural products should enter the world markets by all possible means, because this is the only way our farmers will receive a fair price for them, — Dmytro Solomchuk, the member of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.
💬 We are waiting for a decision from the Ukrainian Defence Forces on the functioning of a temporary corridor in the 12-mile zone in the Black Sea, through which four ships have already left. If such a corridor existed and the Defence Forces guaranteed security, it would be a very good solution, and our country could export a significant amount of domestic agricultural products. Moreover, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has allocated 20 billion hryvnias for ship and cargo insurance, he said.
🔹 The UN Secretary-General António Guterres has sent a letter to russian Foreign Minister Serhei Lavrov on the importance of restoring the grain corridor, as many countries need Ukrainian agricultural products.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has received a letter of resignation from Oleksii Reznikov, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
The statement will be considered at the next plenary session.

An important news and a step towards the de-occupation of the Crimean peninsula — Volodymyr Zelenskyi signed the draft law No. 9548 on resolving certain issues of the administrative and territorial structure of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
Its main goal is to prepare the ground for the liberation of the peninsula.
Crimea is Ukraine. The day will come when we will get our land back. And we are preparing for it right now.
The law provides for the following:
✅ Decommunization and introduction of a new district division of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea — these are still decisions that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in 2016 and 2020;
✅Granting the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine the authority to approve temporary territorial communities in Crimea — on their basis, it will be possible to form a network of military administrations.
These are very important and significant actions for the restoration of Crimea in the post-war period✊🏻🇺🇦

🔹The festival will take place from 8 to 16 September with simultaneous openings in 25 theatres across the country.

The Humanitarian and Information Policy Committee
The Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence met with the new Head of the EU Advisory Mission Ukraine, Rolf Holmboe.
💬We have been working very fruitfully with the Mission and plan to continue to do so. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Parliament and our Committee in particular have been in the mode of "quick, point" draft laws in the context of war. Now we are returning to the broader reforms that the security and defence sector needs. We have provided the Mission with a comprehensive overview of what we are working on, said Oleksandr Zavitnevych, the Chairman of the Committee.
The key reforms for today are the reform of the Security Service of Ukraine, legislation on state secrets, and democratic civilian control.
For his part, the Head of EUAM expressed his positive opinion that negotiations on our EU membership will start in December this year.

Good news!
Recently, 11 more Ukrainian children have been returned to Ukraine! They were illegally taken by the russian occupiers and held in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region.
According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, five of them have families, and six are children deprived of parental care. The youngest child is only 2 years old, and it is heartbreaking to realise this.
We thank everyone involved! To everyone who fights for the restoration of rights and cares about the fate of Ukrainian children in russian captivity.
According to the official data of the Children of War platform alone, 19,546 Ukrainian children have been deported or forcibly transferred to russia. The exact number of affected children cannot be established due to active hostilities and the temporary occupation of part of Ukraine's territory.

🔹 The UN Security Council is the main body in the UN responsible for maintaining international peace and security. The speech of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi at this platform is of great political importance, as our country will be in the centre of attention of the whole world. This opportunity should be used to present Ukraine's position.
🔹 He also reminded that there are now several opinions on reforming the UN itself so that individual states do not have the opportunity to abuse their position.
🔹 Oleksandr Merezhko stressed that the UN reform is necessary, as russia's aggression against Ukraine has shown that the organisation has failed to fulfil its main task of maintaining international peace and security.
❗️ russians and belarusians will not compete at the 2023 Asian Games, — Olha Saladukha, the Chairman of the Subcommittee on High Performance Sports and Sports Activities of the Youth and Sports Committee.
🔹This decision was made by the IOC with the argument "impossible for technical reasons". This reduces the chances for russian and belarusian athletes to participate in the Olympiad in Paris.
💬The IOC's position seems to have started to change in favour of Ukraine.
❗️ Three factors contributed to this:
✔️ our conviction that it is unacceptable for russia and belarus to participate in the Olympic Games has remained unchanged and uncompromising.
✔️ we are not alone. We have many allies in Europe who are ready to apply sports sanctions at the state level.
✔️ The events surrounding Olha Harlan's disqualification have demonstrated a high level of sporting solidarity with Ukraine around the world.
So we are working further to consolidate this interim success, said Olha Saladukha.
On 4 September 1991, a blue and yellow flag was raised over the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Shortly thereafter, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted a resolution and approved the blue and yellow colours as the national flag of Ukraine.
So every time we see or raise our flag, we feel proud.
Because it is our symbol.
It is our strength.
And our flag will definitely return and fly in all the temporarily occupied territories.

This week, the Parliament will be offered to make a personnel decision. I want to outline it now. I have decided to replace the Minister of Defense of Ukraine. Oleksiy Reznikov has gone through more than 550 days of full-scale war. I believe that the Ministry needs new approaches and other formats of interaction with both the military and society at large. Now Rustem Umerov should lead the Ministry. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine knows this person well, and Mr. Umerov does not need any additional introductions. I expect the Parliament to support this candidate.
Autumn is a time for strengthening.
