📋The register of victims of hostilities has been created, — Lesia Zaburanna, the member of the Budget Committee.
The adopted law creates a centralised register of persons who suffered physical and moral damage and violence during hostilities.
This register creates a factual basis for further consideration of cases in international tribunals and criminal courts, facilitating the conviction of war criminals.
The initiative allows people to claim compensation for losses and damage incurred during conflicts.

🇪🇺 Every parliament does extraordinary things at the end of its term!
Thus, the European Parliament adopted a resolution recognising putin as an illegitimate president of the russian federation.
We appreciate the fact that the European Parliament responded to a similar appeal adopted earlier by the Verkhovna Rada.
⚠️ MEPs called on the EU countries and the international community not to recognise the results of the so-called russian "presidential election". After all, they were not free and fair and were held, in particular, in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
The European Parliament also called for maximum restriction of contacts with putin's russia, except for humanitarian ones, for example, to return Ukrainian children taken to russia.

❗️ A meeting of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation was held.
The MPs of Ukraine considered draft laws aimed at bringing Ukraine's legal framework in line with the national interests of our country.
In particular, the Committee recommends approving the following acts:
- On denunciation of the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the russian federation on cooperation in the field of prevention of industrial accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters and elimination of their consequences (No. 0253);
- On withdrawal from the Agreement on the Supply of Goods for the National Hydrometeorological Services of the CIS Member States (No. 0255);
- On the denunciation of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the republic of belarus on Cooperation in the Field of Emergency Prevention and Elimination of Their Consequences (No. 0256).

I have addressed the participants of the urgent meeting of the Ukraine – NATO Council at the level of Defense Ministers, convened at our request. An obvious agenda.
We need seven more ‘Patriots’ or similar air defense systems, and it’s a minimum number. They can save many lives and really change the situation. You have such systems.
Secondly: we are talking for quite a while about a million artillery shells for Ukraine. They must finally be delivered to the frontline.
Thirdly, our long-ranged ability. It is absurd when partners are afraid of their strength. The more long-ranged weapons our soldiers have in their hands, the closer peace is. The frontline really needs long-range rockets and artillery now.
Fourth: aviation. If we have a fighter jet coalition, a sufficient number of jets is needed to really overcome the Russian air fleet. It’s not about the number of promises, but the real number of jets in the sky.
And fifth is speed. This year we can’t wait for decisions to be made. I ask you to consider as soon as possible our request for your determination – each of its elements.
Putin must be brought down to earth, and our sky must become safe again, and it is real. And it depends fully on your choice. Choice whether life is indeed equally valuable everywhere. Choice whether you have an equal attitude to all partners. Choice whether we indeed are allies.
❗️ Oleh Bondarenko, the Chairman of the Environmental Policy Committee, took part in the II Forum on Ecology and Sustainable Development.
The Forum participants discussed the issues of "green transformation" of Ukraine in the context of war and European integration, transformation of subsoil use, new climate policy, use of territories affected by radioactive contamination, environmental safety, "green" reconstruction, etc.
In his speech, Oleh Bondarenko spoke about the Parliament's achievements in reforming environmental policy and nature management.
The Committee is currently working on draft laws on preventing industrial pollution, ensuring the constitutional rights of citizens to a safe environment for life and health, and establishing state environmental control.

❗️ Andrii Gerus, the Chairman of the Committee on Energy, Housing and Utilities, and Robert Habeck, Vice Chancellor of Germany, took part in the opening of a solar power plant on the roof of Irpin Lyceum No. 1.
Robert Habeck assured that German companies are ready to contribute to the restoration of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which was destroyed as a result of russian attacks.
According to the Chairman of the Committee, Andrii Gerus, the attention of European officials and politicians to small-scale generation facilities in Ukraine underlines the correctness of the path chosen by Ukraine.
Solar power plants on social infrastructure facilities should appear in every community. The development of distributed generation will definitely improve the resilience of our energy system. This is the energy of the future, and it is already helping us to survive difficult conditions,
🇺🇦🇪🇺 The first meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Investment Fund for Ukraine, in which the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has an observer seat, took place in Brussels, the Economic Development Committee informs.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development Dmytro Natalukha.
The purpose of the first meeting is to approve the rules of procedure, the Strategic Directions of the Investment Programme and to provide an opinion on proposals for replenishing existing guarantee agreements and mixed lending operations.
EU Regulation 2024/792 establishing the Ukraine Facility provides for the establishment of an Investment Fund for Ukraine (IFU).
The Regulation also provides that the European Commission will be supported by the Supervisory Board.
The Committee expressed confidence that the IFU, with the support of the Supervisory Board, will become a reliable tool for mobilising investment and improving access to financial assistance.
🌾 More than two million hectares of spring grains and legumes have already been sown in Ukraine, — the Agrarian Policy Committee
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 2 million 053.4 thousand hectares of grain and leguminous crops have already been sown on the territory controlled by Ukraine. Of which, in particular:
- corn - 748.7 thou hectares
- barley - 741.5 thou hectares
- wheat - 204.7 thou hectares
- peas - 157 thou hectares;
- oats - 136.6 thou hectares.
Over the past week, farmers sowed 792.6 thousand hectares of grains and pulses. Most of all:
- in the Kyiv region - 27.1 thou hectares of wheat, 40.1 thou hectares of barley, 4.8 thou hectares of peas and 4.3 thou hectares of oats;
- in Ternopil region - 18.9 thou hectares of wheat, 63.6 thou hectares of barley, 3.6 thou hectares of peas and 5.1 thou hectares of oats;
- in Khmelnytskyi region - 14.8 thou hectares of wheat, 59.1 thou hectares of barley, 2.6 thou hectares of peas and 2.5 thou hectares of oats.
The US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink returned to Washington and visited the US Congress "to advocate for an immediate aid package for Ukraine and to explain why supporting Ukraine is in our strategic national interest".
🇺🇦🤝🇺🇲 Thank you, Ms Bridget, for advocating for an immediate defence package that needs to be voted on in the US Congress to help Ukraine. This is indeed a strategic issue for the Ukrainian people, US leadership, and global peace and security.

❗️ The Committee on Social Policy discussed the state of adaptation of the labour legislation of Ukraine to the provisions of the EU law
Vadym Strunevych, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to the EU Acquis, chaired a roundtable discussion on "Adaptation of Ukrainian Labour Legislation to the EU Acquis: Current Status and Prospects" via video conference.
The chairman stressed the need for a general and systemic reboot of labour legislation.
Representatives of the ministries spoke about the measures taken by the state to adapt Ukraine's labour legislation to the provisions of EU law.
Ihor Dehnera, the Head of the State Labour Service of Ukraine, noted that the adoption of the Labour Code of Ukraine "On Safety and Health of Workers at Work" is the starting point for revising a whole range of regulations.

🇺🇦🇷🇴 Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, the Chair of the Committee for Ukraine's Integration into the EU, summed up the results of her working visit to the Ukrainian-Romanian border
Following the results of the Committee's offsite meeting in Chernivtsi, Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze noted that the change in Ukraine's status on the way to the European Union, the change in opportunities in line with Ukraine's strategic goals also affect the work of executive authorities, as well as the tasks facing the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, which is forming the legislative framework for further progress towards the EU.
We are grateful to the representatives of the ministries who travelled with us and took a responsible attitude to participating in the Committee's meeting. We have seen improvements in the work of the Ukrainian-Romanian border in the Chernivtsi region, but at the same time, we have once again seen challenges,

We are preparing for tomorrow's Ramstein meeting and will discuss, among other things, how to overcome the difficulties and problems that have accumulated over the past six months while we have been waiting for decisions on American support. Politically, we have already achieved the support. Now we need to work on filling the packages with the necessary weapons and ensuring logistics.
I am grateful to all the countries that have recently adopted new decisions on aid for Ukraine, our warriors, our cities and communities. I am grateful to everyone who helps!

🚉Unified revised text of the draft law "On Railway Transport of Ukraine" will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, — the Transport and Infrastructure Committee
To date, two versions of the draft law "On Railway Transport" have been registered in the Parliament, the wording of which no longer meets the challenges of today.
Therefore, today the MPs rejected the versions of the draft law (Nos. 1196, 1196-1) under consideration.
Next, a single revised text of the draft law "On Railway Transport of Ukraine" will be submitted to the Parliament.
The new version of the draft law will take into account the positions of all key parties and stakeholders, the realities and challenges of today, the peculiarities of the functioning of railway transport in the post-war period and the changes that have taken place in EU legislation.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions:
IN GENERAL:
🟢 8244 — adopted the Law on Amendments to the Labour Code of Ukraine on Succession in Labour Relations. The document stipulates that in the event that an enterprise is transferred to another owner, employees retain the same rights and obligations as provided for in employment contracts between employees and the previous owner.
🟢 7731 — amended the Labour Code of Ukraine to establish additional grounds for termination of an employment contract at the initiative of the employer and certain other issues.
🟢 9453 — amended certain laws of Ukraine regarding the proportional calculation of insurance period for persons who worked outside Ukraine.
🟢 5695 — amended certain legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the regulation of the labour of domestic workers.

🇺🇦 The National Paralympic Swimming Team has reached the equator of the European Para Swimming Championships with 29 medals, the Committee of Youth and Sports reports.
The third day of competition at the European Swimming Championships, which took place from 21 to 27 April in Funchal (Portugal), brought eight high awards to Ukraine's paraswimmers, including two gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
In total, the national team won 29 high awards at the European Championships — 11 gold, eight silver and ten bronze medals and ranked second in the world with a difference of one gold medal with the Italian team.
We wish victory to Ukraine and cheer for our team together!

❗️ Yana Stepanenko made the first symbolic kick in the Shakhtar vs Zorya match — the Youth and Sports Committee.
13-year-old Yana Stepanenko ran five kilometres on prostheses at the Boston Marathon and proved to the world that Ukrainians are unbreakable.
In April 2022, the girl lost both legs as a result of a russian missile attack on the railway station in Kramatorsk.
Together with her, Oleksandr Kobzarev, who is currently the head of the UNBROKEN Foundation, which promotes treatment, prosthetics and rehabilitation of Ukrainian military and civilians, took to the pitch at Arena Lviv.

Важкий сьогодні день. Ракетні удари. Дніпро – просто по центру міста, по звичайній забудові. Будинок, вокзал. Також сьогодні – Синельникове, Кривий Ріг. Удари по Нікополю. Удари по Одеському регіону – знову по портах, по експорту нашого продовольства. Сьогодні ж – обстріли й удари по Донеччині, Миколаївщині, Харківщині. Today is a difficult day... Missile strikes. Right in the center of the city of Dnipro, the regular buildings. A house, a railway station. In addition, Synelnykove and Kryvyi Rih were also hit today. Strikes in Nikopol... Strikes in the Odesa region - again on the ports, on the export of our products. Today there was shelling and strikes in Donetsk, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions... There are many victims. Everyone is being helped. And I thank everyone who supports our people, who eliminates the consequences of Russian evil. My condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones.
When Ukraine appeals to partners for air defense systems that they have - in warehouses, in storage bases, but that are needed here, right here, to protect lives - we are talking about a true alliance. And here in Ukraine, we appreciate the efforts of every leader, every state that is really active, really committed to fulfilling their promises and trying to increase the capabilities of our air shield.

❗️ The spring session of PACE has come to an end.
On the last day of the session, Ukrainian parliamentarians reported on online violence and children's right to a safe digital environment.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by MPs Iryna Konstankevych and Larysa Bilozir, who focused on the specifics of the impact of networks and disinformation on children during the war.
Protecting children from violence in the digital environment is an issue that requires great attention and immediate action. Especially in times of war, children are the most vulnerable category of information consumers,
🇺🇦🇱🇻 I sincerely congratulate Ms Baiba Braže on her appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia! — the Vice-Speaker Olena Kondratiuk.
The decision was supported by the Latvian parliament — the Saeima.
🤝 We met with Ms Baiba at the last Kyiv Security Forum. I know her as a consistent ally of Ukraine who stands for our victory over the aggressor. She will undoubtedly continue to advocate for increased assistance to our country from friendly Latvia and the international community.

❗️ The Committee of Youth and Sports draws the attention of all civilised countries to another crime committed by the russian federation in the city of Dnipro
The barbaric shelling of the cities of Dnipro and Synelnykovo resulted in the deaths of eight people, including two children. One child is in intensive care in an extremely serious condition. 29 residents of the Dnipro region were injured.
The Committee believes that the cynical attack of the ruscists on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine must not only be condemned by all countries of the world, but also lead to an increase in military assistance to the Ukrainian Armed Forces and strengthening of economic and political sanctions against the russian federation.
The Committee calls on all civilised nations to increase military and financial assistance to Ukraine, to strengthen sanctions against russia, to transfer all frozen assets of russia to Ukraine, and to expel russia from the UN Security Council.
🇺🇦 Ukraine in PACE called on the international community to facilitate the return of civilian hostages, — the Head of the Permanent Delegation to PACE Mariia Mezentseva.
The discussion was attended by representatives of more than 46 Council of Europe countries, PACE members, experts, as well as representatives of NGOs and international organisations.
International partners suggested continuing pressure on russia by introducing additional sanctions and specific decisions of the International Criminal Court against all those involved in the abduction of Ukrainians.

🤝The Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy Oleksandr Haidu met with the General Director of the All-Ukrainian Association of Employers' Organisations "Federation of Employers of Ukraine" Ruslan Illichov.
The parties discussed the development of the agricultural sector, in particular, the prospects of the domestic processing industry and noted the need to increase the production of Ukrainian products with high added value.
During the meeting, the parties stressed the importance of the national initiative "Made in Ukraine" and discussed the possibilities of promoting Ukrainian agricultural products with high added value to the consumers of the European Union.

further cooperation in developing legislative initiatives to support Ukrainian agricultural producers.

🇺🇦104 years ago, in 1920, the greeting “Glory to Ukraine!” ( “Slava Ukraini” — in Ukrainian) was officially approved by the army of the Ukrainian People's Republic.
An order of the UPR of 19 April 1920 recorded the first official use of the slogan: “To all units of the army, in praise, or even in gratitude for their service to Ukraine, respond: “Glory to Ukraine!”. It happened at the end of the first Winter campaign.
These words always resonate in our hearts, reminding us of national dignity and the struggle for freedom.
Every day we strive for a peaceful future, where ‘Glory to Ukraine’ will be not only a slogan, but also a reality, our victorious reality.

🇺🇦🇨🇦 As part of their official visit to Canada, members of the Law Enforcement Committee held a number of meetings in Ottawa
Members of the delegation headed by Committee Chairman Serhii Ionushas met with Minister of National Defence of Canada Bill Blair, formerly the Chief of the Toronto Police Service, and discussed the following issues:
- transfer of weapons made in Canada, including armoured vehicles, to Ukraine, as well as the purchase of other necessary weapons and ammunition from partner countries;
- Canada's active participation in coalitions of tanks, aircraft and drones;
- increasing production capacity in the Canadian military sector and investments in Ukraine's defence industry;
- training of Ukrainian servicemen in the framework of Operation UNIFIER;
- cooperation in cyber security to jointly counter threats.
Bill Blair noted that today Ukraine stands guard over the security and stability of the entire democratic world. Canada will support Ukraine until victory.
❗️ The Foreign Policy Committee held a meeting with leading French journalists and experts
The main topics of discussion were world politics, international and European security, the current security situation in Ukraine and the course of events at the frontline, the need to increase military, technical, financial and economic assistance to Ukraine, support for the Ukrainian Peace Formula, the humanitarian situation in Ukraine, the return of prisoners of war, illegally detained civilians and children displaced to russia.
Particular attention was paid to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the development of Ukraine's relations with the countries of the so-called Global South, the work of the Committee and the Parliament under martial law, etc.
Among other things, the Chairman of the Committee Oleksandr Merezhko stressed that this war is a war for the restoration of the international legal order and called for broad coverage of events in Ukraine.
