🇺🇦 The Committee on Youth and Sports congratulates the youth of Ukraine, leaders and activists of youth and children's NGOs, youth workers on the International Youth Day!
It is clear to the whole world that it is the youth who are the engine of progress, who introduce new knowledge and technologies into the life of the country, make scientific discoveries, and initiate progressive reforms.
However, another component of youth policy is important for Ukraine. It was Ukrainian boys and girls who were the first to defend Ukraine's independence in February 2014 and February 2022, repelling the russian aggressor and their henchmen.
The successful performance of the Ukrainian national team at the Olympic Games in Paris was achieved by young athletes.
We wish all young Ukrainians great luck, fulfilment of all their dreams and wishes, realisation of their talents in their native Ukraine, peace and a speedy Victory!

Our priority remains the maximum strengthening of Ukraine's air shield. Our air defense, our combat aviation. Every night and every day during this war, Ukrainians suffer from Russian strikes. Much, indeed much, has already been done to improve our defense capabilities, but not everything necessary is in place yet. We do not stop working with our partners to acquire more air defense systems and to ensure better quality training and supplies for all units of our skies' defenders.
Of course, one of the key elements of any state's air shield is combat aviation. At all levels, we must continue to tell our partners what is needed to close the Ukrainian skies to Shahed drones and missiles. Including North Korean missiles.
Terror must always be defeated – this is the fundamental principle of protecting life. And this is what we will continue to talk about with our partners – just as air defense protects lives, lifting restrictions on long-range strikes will save thousands of human lives.

⚡️ Results of the competition day:
On the fifteenth day of the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris, the athletes of the national team of Ukraine competed in 8 disciplines. Iryna Koliadenko added a silver medal to our treasury!
🔹 Women's wrestling (weight category up to 62 kg):
Iryna Koliadenko won silver, losing in the final to Japanese Sakura Motoki (1:12).
🔹 Freestyle wrestling:
Oleksandr Khotsianivskyi took 16th place in the 125 kg weight category, losing to Poland's Robert Baran in the first bout of the consolation round.
In the 97kg category, Murazi Mchedlidze defeated Ibrahim Cifci, the bronze medallist of the last two World Championships, 5-1 in the 1/8 finals, but lost in the 1/4 finals to Giva Macharashvili of Georgia (0-11). However, the latter's entry into the final gives the Ukrainian a chance to fight for bronze.
🔹 Athletics:
Oleh Doroshchuk finished the high jump final in sixth place with a personal best of 2.31m.

🔵Visited the LESYA clothing factory and talked to its management. They demonstrated in detail all stages of work — from the moment of production to transportation to stores. In particular, the products are supplied not only to the domestic market but also to the foreign market.
🔵 At the Cersanit sanitary ware plant, I got acquainted with the automation and modernisation of certain processes. The company's products are present in the European Union, the markets of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, as well as Central Asia and North Africa. The Cersanit Group's goal is to create a strong international economic organisation.
🔵At the same time, I visited the office of small and microbusiness support of the Made in Ukraine economic platform. Its activities are aimed at informing and advising, in particular, on entrepreneurship development programmes.

The policy of Heroes and their support, including the creation of opportunities for veterans, is the policy that will be implemented throughout our country.
While on a working visit to Zhytomyr region, I took part in the third forum "Veterans — the Way Home. The capacity of communities to protect the rights and meet the needs of veterans".
On the occasion of the Constitution Day of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi proposed to discuss the guidelines of the Ukrainian Doctrine, which should answer all the questions of our future. Among the points is the policy of Heroes. The topic of caring for our veterans must continue for a long time and everywhere. This includes job creation, physical rehabilitation, and prosthetics. Mental health is also an important topic, which is being implemented on the initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska.

🇺🇦 Ukraine finished the XXXIII Olympic Games in Paris in 22nd place in the overall medal standings.
Ukrainian athletes won 12 medals:
🥇three golds;
🥈five silver;
🥉four bronze medals.
This is Ukraine's best result at the Olympic Games in 12 years.

When here at the Olympics we celebrate the Olympic movement and sport in general, at the same time russia is killing people in Ukraine every day. Every day we wake up and realise that russia killed someone that night.
This was stated in an interview with CNN by Zhan Beleniuk, the Member of the Ukrainian Parliament, 2020 Tokyo Olympic champion and bronze medallist of the 2024 Paris Olympics:
We are fighting for our land, we are fighting for our values, we are fighting for our right to live a normal life.
But we know that Ukrainian soldiers are defending our land, and we know that we have to do our job, we have to participate in the Olympic Games and spread the word to the world and win medals for our country.
⚡️ 53 STRIKE UAVs WERE DESTROYED

On the night of 11 August 2024, the enemy attacked with 4 KN-23 ballistic missiles from the voronezh region and 57 Shahed attack UAVs from the primorsko-akhtarsk, yeysk, and kursk regions of russia. The occupiers also attacked the city of Pokrovsk in Donetsk region, allegedly with missile artillery.
💥 As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, mobile firing groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units and electronic warfare systems of the Air Force shot down 53 enemy UAVs in Mykolaiv, Odesa, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Rivne and Cherkasy regions.
Regarding the russian strikes with North Korean missiles, I would like to say the following: although they rarely reach their intended targets, KN-23 ballistic missiles pose a serious threat to the population. Take care of yourself and your families.

🇺🇦 Mourazi Mchedlidze has qualified for the bronze medal final of the 2024 Olympic Games in freestyle wrestling, defeating South Africa's Nicholas De Lange with a score of 5:3!
In the bronze medal fight, Mchedlidze will compete against Magomedov Magomedkhan of Azerbaijan.
The fight will take place at 13:35.

🔹 Artistic swimming (duets):
Maryna Aleksiiva and Vladyslava Aleksiiva took fifth place with a total score of 538.6684 for the technical and free routines.
🔹 Diving (10m platform):
Oleksii Sereda finished the final in eighth place with 426.90 points.
🔹 Rhythmic gymnastics (groups, all-around):
Ukraine's team of Diana Baieva, Alina Melnyk, Valeriia Peremeta, Kira Shyrykina and Mariia Vysochanska took seventh place in the final with 65.700 points.
🔹 Kayaking and canoeing:
After placing sixth in the semi-finals in the 500m single kayak, Mariia Povkh advanced to the C final, where she finished eighth.
Liudmyla Luzan and Anastasiia Rybachok finished seventh and eighth respectively in their respective semi-finals in the 200m single sculls and advanced to the B final. Anastasiia finished sixth, while Liudmyla did not start.
🔹 Modern pentathlon:
Valeriia Permykina placed 10th in the B semi-final, failing to qualify for the final.
🔹 Breaking:
Oleh "Kuzia" Kuznetsov took third place in his group with three rounds (29 votes), but failed to qualify for the quarter-finals.
In the medal standings, Ukraine ranks 21st with 12 awards (3 🥇, 5 🥈, 4 🥉).

Iryna Koliadenko is a silver medallist at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris!
Iryna Koliadenko, the bronze medallist of the Tokyo Games in the 62 kg weight category in the freestyle wrestling competition, lost in the final to a representative of Japan and brought Ukraine a silver medal at the Paris Olympics.
The Youth and Sports Committee sincerely congratulates Iryna on her outstanding success and wishes her new bright victories for the sake of Ukrainian sport!

I would like to commend all our warriors for this week – the combat brigades, which are highly effective in defending our country and destroying the occupier. We leave no part of the front unattended. Every direction, every point of combat engagement. The Sumy region, the Kharkiv region, all directions in the Donetsk region, especially the toughest ones – Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk – and the south of our state. Everywhere, there is something to thank the Ukrainian warriors for.
In particular, I would like to mention the 47th and 110th separate mechanized brigades. This is the Pokrovsk direction specifically. Well done, guys! Also, the 1st separate assault battalion, the 35th separate marine infantry brigade, the 54th separate mechanized brigade, the 57th and the 59th separate motorized infantry brigades, the 77th separate airmobile brigade and the 100th separate mechanized brigade. Thank you all! And also, I thank the special units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine for their actions in the south direction.
Today, Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi has already reported several times – on the frontline situation and on our actions to push the war out into the aggressor's territory. I thank every unit of our Defense Forces that makes this happen. Ukraine is proving that it really knows how to restore justice and guarantees exactly the kind of pressure that is needed – pressure on the aggressor.
⚡️ The 10m platform diving final of the 2024 Olympic Games will soon begin, where Oleksii Sereda is taking part.
In the semi-finals, Oleksii earned a ticket to the final of the 2024 Olympic Games in diving from the 10-metre platform with a jump of 86.40 points, placing him in the top 12 - 11th place.
The final with Oleksiy Sereda will take place at 16:00.

🇺🇦 Oleksandr Khyzhniak, the 2024 Olympic boxing champion, returned to Kyiv after competing in the tournament.
He was greeted at the railway station by his wife and son.
Khyzhniak became the fourth Ukrainian to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games.
