Undoubtedly, we will defend Ukraine and restore freedom to all our land. Each of us feels that this will be a Ukraine with different rules. The borders are the same. Democracy is probably just as turbulent. Freedom is one of the greatest in Europe, as always.
But without a doubt, there will be no more decades-long 'business as usual' for those who plundered Ukraine and put themselves above the law and any rules. And I thank the Ukrainian law enforcement for their determination to bring every case stalled for decades to a just conclusion.
The law must work. It is so. It will be so.

🔹This event was preceded by the hard work of many services. These are the Office of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Save Ukraine, the Ukrainian Child Rights Network and many others.
🔹These are children who were illegally detained in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson region. Among them are six children deprived of parental care. Five of them have families. But each of them was expected to return. The youngest child is 2 years old, the oldest is 16.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 The Budget Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the BUDG Committee of the European Parliament held a joint meeting on 31 August.
🔹The participants of the meeting discussed the state budget of Ukraine for 2024 and the European initiative "Ukraine Facility", which provides funding of EUR 50 billion for four years. Of this, €39 billion is direct budget support.
💬 We have to be honest with our partners. The situation with the budget deficit will not improve next year. The budget for 2024 will have a deficit of over $40 billion. Defence spending will increase. And we will need no less support from the EU than planned this year — 18 billion euros, said Roksolana Pidlasa, the Chair of the Committee.
🔹 Members of the European Parliament clarified the Reform Plan, which will become a condition for the allocation of funds over the next four years.

A new academic year begins today.
Despite all the enemy's attempts to destroy our culture and history, schoolchildren and students are starting and continuing their studies. For some, it is the first bell, and for others it is the first year in a higher education institution.
With their desire for knowledge, the very young and elder are strengthening and building Ukraine's future.
The occupier's destruction of universities, schools and kindergartens will not stop us. We will continue to live.
We will rebuild everything — just as we have already rebuilt a kindergarten with our sister country Estonia in Ovruch.
We will restore offline learning — as we have already done in many cities today.
We are reforming education — there is encouraging news from the Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and Minister Oksen Lisovyi.
And the enemy will be held accountable for everything. We will teach our children how to win, rebuild and punish the enemy.

"Our military assistance to Ukraine has exceeded 1% of our GDP, and we would be happy if other EU countries joined us in this."
This was stated by the Minister of Defence of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece at an informal meeting of the Heads of Defence Ministries of the European Union countries in Toledo.

A young boxer from Vinnytsia region dedicated the championship title to his father, a military man — informs the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Rostyslav Horodynskyi, a young athlete and a great patriot, became a world champion at the World Gymnasiade in Brazil.
Rostyslav dedicates this and other victories to his father, who is defending Ukraine as part of the 120th Brigade of the Territorial Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It was his father's courage that inspired him to conquer international sports arenas.
💬We are fighting for the future of a new generation of Ukrainians — our strong, unbreakable children who inspire victories with their achievements at the international level, the soldier with the call sign "Bolt", quoted by the 120th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, shared his impressions.
The Ukrainian national team won 38 medals at the U15 World Gymnasiade: 16 gold, 13 silver and 9 bronze.

Today, our team of the Ukrainian Women's Congress, headed by Svitlana Voitsekhovska, is working in Poznan at the Stowarzyszenie Kongres Kobiet Women's Congress!
In my native Lviv, I have meetings with our entrepreneurs, regional leaders, members of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, the Club of Successful Women of Ukraine, women who relocated their businesses from the east to the Lviv region because of the war!
Networking, support and assistance to women's entrepreneurship, government programmes, grants, social programmes, engagement of veterans are the main topics of conversation!
In 2022, women got 40759 sole proprietorships (48% of all openings)
And about 7000 companies (28% of all open ones)
Since the beginning of 2023, every second sole proprietorship in Ukraine has been opened by women — 36,892 sole proprietorships have already been registered, of which 51% or 18,776 were created by women!

🤺 The Ukrainian Fencing Federation has filed a complaint with the International Olympic Committee against the inaction and actions of the International Fencing Federation that violate the Olympic Charter and the IOC Code of Ethics
🔹 This was a continuation of the fight against the illegal disqualification of Olha Kharlan after her fight with the so-called "neutral" fencer Anna Smirnova from russia at the World Championships in Milan, as well as other illegal actions of the International Federation.
🔹 The complaint draws the IOC's attention to the actions of the International Fencing Federation aimed at returning russian and belarusian fencers to international competitions without conducting a proper check for involvement in the armed forces and other law enforcement agencies of these countries, or for supporting russian aggression by such athletes, in particular on social media.

🇺🇦 Ukrainians won gold at the World Shooting Championships in Baku — the Youth and Sports Committee
🔹 Our Denys Babliuk, Ihor Kizyma and Danylo Danilenko became the 2023 World Champions for the fourth time. This time in small-bore rifle shooting at a moving target at 50 m (variable speed).
🔹 The Ukrainian national team took second place at the World Shooting Championships in Azerbaijan. Our shooters won 14 medals: seven gold, five silver and two bronze. The Chinese national team topped the medal standings with 28 awards.

🔥 Ukrainian Phoenix stirred up Burning Man Project, — the Humanitarian Policy Committee
💬 This was the first work to be burned at this iconic event in the United States. A powerful idea! Many thanks to all those involved, especially Ukrainian artists: artist Oleksii Sai and architect and artist Dana Kosmina, said Oleksandr Sanchenko, the Chairman of the Music Industries Subcommittee.
🔹 The 8-metre-high sculpture was surrounded by a box, like the monuments in Ukrainian squares. It embodied the unity and steadfastness of the Ukrainian spirit. And the performance of burning the box that hid it symbolised everything that happened to Ukraine and Ukrainians. And it is not only about our country, but also about each and every one of us.

In 2023, farms received state aid for more than UAH 379 million, — the Agrarian Committee
🔹According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, since the beginning of the year, 101 agricultural enterprises have already received grants for the development of gardens and greenhouses in the amount of more than UAH 379 million.
🔹Of these, almost UAH 302 million was allocated to 86 enterprises for the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture. Another 15 received over UAH 77 million for greenhouses.
🔹More than UAH 18 million was paid to 9 more agricultural enterprises under the government grant programme to support small and medium-sized businesses, eRobota.
🔹UAH 428 million has been paid to 110 business entities since the start of the programme.

Today, a new school year begins in our country. Thousands of first-graders will sit down at their school desks for the first time, and thousands will be students for the final year. Some will continue to study at their home schools and universities, others will study in completely new classrooms and auditoriums. Some with friends, some with strangers.
But, despite all the challenges, it is important not to lose the thirst for knowledge. To learn new things. To discover new things. And even when lessons and lectures are in shelters.

Today was an eventful day.
A conference call with military and government officials. The frontline. Our offensive actions. The result of our weapons, new Ukrainian weapons, is 700 kilometers. The task is farther.
The important news for the frontline is that we have agreed on the supply of armored medevac vehicles to Ukraine, a large batch. This is what the warriors told me about when we visited combat brigades. The Ministry of Defense has reported on this today.
As always on the conference calls, there were intelligence reports from the Main Intelligence Directorate and the Foreign Intelligence Service on the plans of the occupiers. Their plans are hopeless.
I held a meeting about next week's international events. There will be significant things. Important negotiations for Ukraine.
Another meeting concerned tomorrow. It will be September 1, the beginning of the new school year. Deputy Prime Minister Fedorov and Minister Lisovyi, together with their teams, are preparing a very positive innovation for our schoolchildren, parents, and teachers. Something that will really help. During the meeting, government officials and parliamentarians discussed the civil servants' remuneration reform, including the next steps to complete it.
The relevant draft law was voted in the first reading in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
Its goal is to introduce unified approaches to civil servants' remuneration based on job classification. In addition, the new system provides for a transparent salary structure with the elimination of abuse of bonus payments.
Among the tasks is to accelerate the pace of implementation of the reform so that it can start working from the first day of 2024.

I have spent a third of my life at Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute — I grew up and studied there. I have never regretted my chosen path. Today I had the honour to personally congratulate the university on its 125th anniversary!
Every day we face huge challenges. It was in Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute that important achievements in the defence sector were developed over the years, so the role of the university and attention to it will only grow.
At the same time, no matter what direction we mention, the polytechnic can participate in each of them. In particular, renewable energy and recycling technologies.
We remember all the representatives of the big polytechnic family who are no longer with us and became Heroes defending our Ukraine. Thanks to them, we are getting closer to victory and can continue to do everything for it.
