We are grateful for all the decisions for Ukraine and consistent all-party support. We appreciate the recognition by the House of Commons of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people and hope that the House of Lords will follow suit.
I am pleased to welcome the delegation of the European Network of Equality Institutions (EQUINET) to the Parliament.
We discussed russia's crimes on the territory of Ukraine, including attacks on civilians, terrorizing Ukrainian seaports, as well as captured and deported citizens. Among those forcibly deported are thousands of children from Ukrainian families, which is a sign of genocide. This is a particularly painful issue for us. So far, only 386 of them have returned to Ukraine.
In particular, Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, together with the President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Head of the Presidential Office of Ukraine Andrii Yermak, opened the Center for the Protection of Children's Rights. In this space, relatives of illegally taken children can address and outline a number of problems.

🔹MEPs have initiated a petition to ban the unconditional participation of athletes from aggressor countries in the 2024 Olympics, even in a neutral status under the Olympic flag.

🔹In the petition, MEPs propose to recognize as neutral only those athletes who directly condemn the war against Ukraine. Those who continue to remain silent cannot be considered neutral because Ukrainians are being killed every day with their tacit consent.
🔹 The signing of the petition will be an additional lever to Ukraine's diplomatic efforts to block the possibility of so-called neutral athletes with russian and belarusian passports from participating in the Olympic Games.

I informed about the current situation in Ukraine and the air attacks of the terrorist state. Among the urgent needs is to strengthen air defense, because it is the life of every person. This step will also help protect port infrastructure from shelling and export grain to all countries that need it.
We also discussed cooperation with the countries of the Global South and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie.
Each member of the delegation assured us of the support of the Ukrainian people, which is very valuable to us.

Acceleration of our Victory is possible only on condition of continuous and timely supply of weapons to Ukraine. Therefore, I appealed to my colleague to continue supporting Ukraine.

We discussed Ukraine's future membership in the EU and NATO. I count on Italy's support for our European and Euro-Atlantic path.

I had the honor to join the forum "Cohesive Communities: Experience and Action Algorithms" with a welcoming speech.
I emphasized the following:
🔵 There is already a classic discussion between the central government and self-government — the redistribution of the budget and taxes. We must act through understanding on both sides. This factor will help to reach effective agreements;
🔵This year, we expect the opening of the negotiation process for joining the European Union. Communities will also play an important role, as they will have many tasks that we believe and know will be fulfilled.
Acting together and be united is part of the overall formula for our victory and building a strong state✊🏻.

First of all, I thanked Canada for its political, financial and military assistance to Ukraine.
Special words of gratitude for Canada's decision to join the so-called F-16 coalition. This is an important decision. I hope that the relevant programs will be implemented as quickly as possible.
I also emphasized that the final resolution of the issue of Ukraine's Victory will continue to require joint efforts. I outlined the list of necessary military assistance.
In this context, I emphasized that it is extremely important to adopt a long-term program of military assistance to Ukraine. Therefore, I called on the Parliament of Canada to adopt the relevant resolution.

Ukraine is growing less rice, — the Head of the Agrarian Committee Oleksandr Haidu.
🔹This negative trend is due to russian aggression. Last year alone, rice harvest decreased 16 times compared to 2021.
💬In the pre-war period, rice was grown in Mykolaiv, Kherson and Odesa regions. In 2021, the area under rice was more than 10 thousand hectares, and almost 50 thousand tons were harvested. In 2022, the enemy occupied part of the southern regions. And last year, farmers harvested about 3 thousand tons of rice. These data illustrate that rice cultivation is the most affected industry by russian aggression, Haidu said.
🔹In 2023, farmers increased the area under rice. This year it is 2.2 thousand hectares. The estimated rice harvest may reach more than 9 thousand tons.

🇺🇦 UNESCO inscribed 20 Ukrainian cultural heritage sites on the International List of Cultural Property under Enhanced Protection — the Humanitarian Policy Committee
🔹 The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, with the support of the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to UNESCO and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, prepared a request to the Secretariat of the Hague Convention to inscribe 20 sites on the International List of Cultural Property under Enhanced Protection.
🔹 During the meeting, the UNESCO Committee supported Ukraine's initiative and decided to inscribe the sites under enhanced protection. The issues of international support for Ukraine were also discussed. The Committee members confirmed their readiness to provide assistance to Ukraine.
🔹 As a result of the meeting, the Declaration on the Protection of Cultural Heritage in Ukraine was adopted.
Another heavy loss for Ukraine and Ukrainian sport — Yurii Mochulskyi, a track and field athlete from Lviv region, died — the Youth and Sports Committee
Before the war, Yurii was a professional long-distance runner. He graduated from Lviv State University of Physical Culture. Immediately after the start of the full-scale invasion, he returned from abroad to defend Ukraine and joined the 103rd separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was wounded. After treatment, he returned to the front again.
💬 Words do not convey the pain of loss. And the best thing we can do is to act. Each to the best of our ability and capabilities to bring victory closer. This will be the best honor for Yurii Mochulskyi and thousands of other Ukrainians who gave their lives for their homeland, emphasized Olha Saladukha, the Chairman of the Sports Subcommittee.

🍎🍏 Almost 25 million hryvnias were paid to farmers for the development of gardens and greenhouses last week — the Agrarian Policy Committee:
🔹 Despite russia's military aggression against Ukraine, the state constantly supports farmers in ensuring food security.
🔹Thus, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 9 more agricultural enterprises received almost UAH 25 million for the development of horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming under the government grant program eRobota.
🔹 In total, 106 farms have received state aid in the amount of UAH 403.9 million this year. This year, grants were fully paid to 83 farms for the development of the "Your Garden" project and 14 farms for the development of the "Your Greenhouse" project.
🔹UAH 452.9 million has been paid to 115 business entities since the start of the program.
☁️September 7 is the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies:
🔹 The date was established by the UN General Assembly resolution on December 19, 2019, and is intended to draw the attention of all countries to the problem of air pollution.
🔹This day should serve as a call to action to unite the efforts of the public and declare the right of everyone to clean air.

🇺🇦🇲🇩 The Committee on Transport and Infrastructure supported the ratification of the Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on the construction of a road border bridge crossing over the Dniester River on the Ukrainian-Moldovan state border (No. 0217):
🔹 The estimated cost of construction is UAH 5 billion, of which UAH 370 million will be spent in 2023, UAH 2.2 billion in 2024, and UAH 2.4 billion in 2025 at the expense of the State Road Fund.
🔹 This bridge crossing will connect the Ukrainian highway T-02-02 Mohyliv-Podilskyi-Yampil-Bershad-Uman and the Moldovan road R 14.1, R 14 - Cosăuc - the border with Ukraine near the settlements of Yampil (Ukraine) and Cosăuc (Moldova), which will be of great strategic importance for improving the logistics of cargo transportation by road.

🇺🇦 With the appointment of the new Head of the Ministry of Defense, the geography of assistance to Ukraine in the war should only expand, primarily with the help of the Global South, — the Deputy Chairman of the National Security Committee Yehor Chernev.
💬 The first and foremost task for the newly elected Minister is to ensure that both our society and international partners do not have any uncomfortable questions to our Ministry. The problems of passing the preliminary medical examination, obtaining the status of a combatant, restoring order in the issue of medical procurement, etc. need to be resolved as soon as possible. A very important point is to overcome the Ukrainian "paper" army, because even now our military literally have to fill out various papers on the battlefield, the parliamentarian emphasized.
It is necessary to maintain a high level of relations with partners so that the assistance with weapons, equipment and machinery necessary for our victory does not decrease, but only grows.

🔹The draft law adopted as a whole is aimed at resuming the consideration of disciplinary complaints and ensuring their prompt and timely consideration.
🔹Particular attention is paid to the establishment of new rules for the selection of disciplinary inspectors of the High Council of Justice. These inspectors will be responsible for the initial review of complaints against judges.
