I joined the meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine.
This time, the meeting of representatives of central and local authorities was devoted to discussing the problematic issues of Kharkiv and Kharkiv region.
In my speech, I noted that Kharkiv region, in particular, Kupiansk, remains the place where russians are concentrating their efforts to break through Ukraine's defense.
The enemy is deliberately destroying critical and civilian infrastructure.

The New York Metropolitan Opera will perform a work about the abduction and deportation of thousands of Ukrainian children by russia, — the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy informs.
The work, written by Ukrainian composer Maksym Kolomiyets to a libretto by American playwright George Brant, tells the story of a mother who embarks on a long and dangerous journey to rescue her daughter, who is being held on the temporary occupied territory by russia.
Although the characters in the opera are fictional, the story is based on real-life accounts of Ukrainian mothers who described the harrowing journey from Ukraine to occupied territory by russia to get their children back.
Peter Gelb, the General Manager of the Metropolitan Opera, said that the purpose of the performance is to "culturally support Ukraine in its struggle for freedom."
I delivered a welcoming speech at the III Forum of Legal Reforms for Civil Society: Becoming Stronger in Time of War.

💬I am confident that there will be political will to vote for this resolution in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The document was supported by an absolute majority in the Committee. Now the only question is who will leave the hall during the vote, who will abstain, because there are unlikely to be many people who want to press the red button, thus claiming that russia is a democracy, not a dictatorship, the MP said.

Українські танкісти подолали переважальну кількість бойових машин окупантів, знищили багато іншої ворожої техніки й затрофеїли 77 російських танків. Саме 14 вересня після стабілізаційних заходів був піднятий український прапор у звільненому Ізюмі.
І тому саме 14 вересня Україна завжди відзначатиме професійну силу наших воїнів-танкістів.

Today is the Day of our tank troops. It is a day of commemorating the Ukrainian victory.
Last year, the Kharkiv offensive ended on these days. It was tank units that were among the troops at the heart of the attacking fist of the Khortytsia operational and strategic group of troops. Ukrainian tankmen overcame the overwhelming number of occupiers' tanks, destroyed many enemy vehicles and captured 77 Russian tanks. On September 14, after stabilization measures, the Ukrainian flag was raised in the liberated Izyum.
Thus, it is on September 14 that Ukraine will always celebrate the professional strength of our tankmen.
Today, as always, tank troops are bravely and powerfully defending our country, destroying the occupiers and proving that Ukrainian strength is indomitable. Thank you for your courage and invincible character.

I held a meeting with Prime Minister Shmyhal and Minister of Finance Marchenko on next year's budget. I outlined the key parameters – what should be prioritized in the state budget.
The key is to protect our state and people. Defense and security are the first priority, and the funding for defense and security will be at least at the level of this year.
Next year, we will add significant budget funds for the defense industry – for the production of weapons in Ukraine. And for the drones. Both for the purchase of what is needed abroad and for the Ukrainian production.
A separate budget priority is to support our veterans.
We also keep social expenditures as a priority. There will be a plus for the education system, primarily to support teachers and lecturers.
We are investing the necessary funds in digitalization, including our Mriia, a new tool for children, parents, and teachers that we have already presented in advance.
Of course, there will be a significant indexation of pensions – we plan to do it in March, as required by law.
But, in addition to all this, we place a very important economic emphasis in the budget. We are adding incentives for the economy – production, jobs, investments. All the things needed to help Ukraine recover faster.
I instructed the Prime Minister to prepare the basis for raising the minimum wage in Ukraine in the first half of next year.
Absolutely all elements of state work must be adjusted so that we can determine the timing of the end of this war here in Ukraine ourselves. With our victory. Our weapons that will reach all the goals necessary for Ukraine. Our economy that will be able to provide Ukrainians with the jobs they need. Social functions of the state that must be fulfilled. State functionality, especially digital functionality, which must become more advanced than anywhere else in Europe. All these are our tools to bring Ukraine's victory closer.

New programs for the agricultural sector: farmers will be compensated for insuring future crops, — Oleksandr Haidu, the Chairman of the Agrarian Policy Committee, during the presentation of the new USAID Financial Sector Reform Project.
🔹The new program will be available to small and medium-sized farmers. The USAID project will provide grant funding to pay for insurance of future crops.
🔹Oleksandr Haidu noted that the agricultural sector is an important sector of the Ukrainian economy, so it is important that farmers have comprehensive support.

⏺6 Ukrainian children who were returned after being deported to russia met with European officials.
ℹ️ On Wednesday, September 14, a meeting of Stolen Voices took place in The Hague as part of the BringKidsBackUA program.
The Ukrainian delegation, together with the children returned by the state from the territory of the russian federation, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, Ms. Hanke Bruins Slot. The purpose of the meeting was to draw attention to the crimes committed by russia against Ukrainian children and to help create an international coalition to repatriate the remaining abductees.

The Second Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimean Platform.
🇨🇿 This year it will be held in Prague at the end of October.
During a videoconference conversation with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, I thanked for the decision to hold this important event together.
The summit will be another proof of the important role parliaments can play in consolidating the efforts of international partners to support Ukraine.
So far, we have confirmed the participation of almost 50 parliaments and parliamentary assemblies.
This is important. After all, the Summit will make it possible to increase the effectiveness of the international response to the occupation of Crimea and other temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. 🇺🇦 The national team of Ukraine continues to win awards at the Invictus Games 2023 in Düsseldorf, Germany, — the Committee of Youth and Sports:
🔹 On the third competition day, the Ukrainians won 11 medals, including four gold and seven silver. Our team won all medals in rowing.
🔹Volodymyr Tovkys, a veteran of the National Guard, climbed to the top step of the podium twice. He took first place in the endurance race and sprint in the IR3 class.
🔹 Mykola Zaritskyi, a veteran of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, won gold and silver. The Ukrainian won the endurance event and was second in the sprint (IR5 class).
🔹 Nazar Vozniuk also won gold and silver medals. The serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine won gold in the endurance competition in IR2 class and silver in the sprint in IR4 class.
🔹 Our paramedic from the Hospitallers volunteer battalion, Yuliia Shevchuk, won silver in the endurance race and sprint in IR5 class.
