This year, more than 100 farmers received grants for the development of gardens and greenhouses, the Agrarian Committee informs.
🔹 According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, two more agricultural enterprises received UAH 1.8 million under the government grant program to support small and medium-sized businesses "eRobota". The money will be used to develop horticulture, berry growing, viticulture and greenhouse farming.
🔹 In total, 108 farms received state aid worth almost UAH 416 million for the development of gardens and greenhouses this year. In particular, UAH 336.6 million was paid to 92 farms for gardens. Another 16 received UAH 79.3 million for greenhouses. This year, we paid grants in full to 85 farms.
🔹 Since the beginning of the program, UAH 465 million has been paid to 117 business entities. In particular, 99 farms received almost UAH 371.7 million for the development of horticulture, berry growing and viticulture, and 18 entrepreneurs received UAH 93.3 million for greenhouses.
🇺🇦🇪🇺 The President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola has called for the start of official negotiations with Ukraine on EU membership before this year's Christmas, in December!
She also believes that the European Union should reform its institutions to prepare for Ukraine's emergence as a member state.
"And in this dimension, nothing is off the table, including the elimination of trade tariffs and giving Kyiv access to the EU internal market before full membership. If they (the Ukrainians) are moving fast, we have to match that speed," The Guardian quotes Roberta Metsola as saying.
The publication recalls that Roberta Metsola was the first Western political leader to visit Ukraine on April 1, 2022, during the battle for Kyiv.

🔹 The Austrian Embassy is now very actively helping Kherson, Kharkiv and Donbas regions. And it is preparing to help the territories after de-occupation.

Restoration of reporting by political parties — Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the draft law No. 9419-1.
In August, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted it as a whole.
Let me remind you that parties with the right to state funding for their statutory activities will be obliged to submit reports, including for the period of suspension of reporting, within 90 days after the law comes into force. Other political parties have 120 days to do so.
Thus, we have restored this process and the NACP's functions to verify them.
I am grateful to my colleagues for their work in the session hall and the right decision.

Austria has already supported the Ukrainian government and the Ukrainian population, which has been particularly hard hit by this war, with financial and humanitarian aid worth more than 152 million euros.

Agrarians will receive compensation from the state for land demining, — informs the Agrarian Committee:
🔹 This approach should significantly accelerate land clearance in those areas where it is possible. Currently, farmers in Ukraine are already using 120 thousand hectares of demined land.
🔹 The Ministry of Economy is developing a mechanism for compensating farmers and strategic enterprises for demining costs. If an agrarian or other company purchases a demining service through Prozorro, receives this service and a corresponding certificate from an officially licensed operator, the state will fully or partially reimburse the costs.
🔹 The budget for 2024 allocates UAH 2 billion for humanitarian demining. The funds will be used to support agricultural enterprises that will purchase demining services through an auction. This will stimulate the development of the service market and ultimately accelerate the demining of the country.

🇺🇦🇸🇰 The Ministry of Education of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of Slovakia have agreed to support Ukrainian students, — the Education Committee informs.
On September 22, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic Daniel Butora visited Ukraine. The parties discussed deepening cooperation in the field of education and signed an annex to the Cooperation Program.
Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Oksen Lisovyi noted that the Ministry's priority is currently the safety of the educational process.
In addition, Ukraine and Slovakia have a long-standing partnership, which includes:
🔹 providing the Slovak minority in Ukraine and the Ukrainian minority in the Slovak Republic with conditions for learning their native language;
🔹 raising the level of teaching of Ukrainian and Slovak language and literature;
🔹 exchange of students and pupils, teachers for short- and long-term pedagogical work.
I would like to thank all our Air Force servicemen, all our anti-aircraft gunners, and servicemen of mobile fire groups who repel Russian missile and drone attacks every day and night.
During just one attack against Ukraine last night, the enemy used 33 strike weapons - "Shaheds" and missiles. Most of them were launched against Odesa and the region. Most of them were shot down. Unfortunately, not all of them. Unfortunately, there were hits. But 30 targets out of 33 were neutralized. It is important to bear in mind that each neutralized target means saved lives.
And we will retaliate against Russia for every strike against our cities and villages, against every Ukrainian community. For Odesa, for Beryslav and Kherson, for Donetsk, Kharkiv and Sumy regions. For all our regions.

Australia has supported the demand of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy to deprive russia of its veto in the UN Security Council and called for further reforms of the body! This was stated by Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong in a speech at the UN General Assembly.
"We must demand more from the permanent members, including restrictions on the use of the veto. russia is making a mockery of the UN every day as it continues its illegal and immoral invasion of Ukraine," the Australian Foreign Minister emphasized.
Wong proposed to provide more permanent and non-permanent missions for Africa, Latin America and Asia, including permanent seats for India and Japan. According to her, Australia is seeking a seat on the Security Council for 2029-2030.
As you can see, the issue of UN reform is already emerging from expert discussions as one of the main issues on the international agenda. This is also thanks to Ukraine, which has brought this issue to the highest level.

We and the whole world are watching as the destruction of our heritage becomes an instrument of genocide committed by russia against the Ukrainian people, Yevhenia Kravchuk, the Deputy Head of the Humanitarian Policy Committee, took part in the #ActionForHeritage forum.

📌 We discussed the topic of Ukraine's reforms. This year, the Government proposed to change the system of remuneration in the civil service. This is a serious discussion and we see many issues. However, there are successful examples of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and anti-corruption bodies of atypical civil service that have already been implemented. We need to take the best of them and integrate them into other systems.
📌 I also emphasized the risks. One of them is the human resources crisis. We already have to think about the strategy of migration policy and for many it will be unusual. And, of course, the risk of budgetary problems after the war is over.
At the beginning, we were asked to answer the question in one word: "Why do we need a state?". I wrote "freedom" 🇺🇦

🇺🇦 Ukrainian wrestlers won five medals and two Olympic licenses at the 2023 World Championships, — the Committee of Youth and Sports.
🔹 The World Championships in Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling have ended in the Serbian capital Belgrade. The Ukrainian national team won five medals and two Olympic licenses for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The team has one silver and four bronze medals.
🔹 Yulia Tkach-Ostapchuk brought silver to our team in the weight category up to 59 kilograms. On her way to the medal, the Ukrainian knocked out russian Anastasia Sidelnikova (5:4), who was competing in neutral status. After the fight, Yulia refused to shake hands with the athlete from a terrorist state.
🔹 Iryna Kolyadenko became the bronze medalist in women's wrestling (weight up to 62 kg).
🔹 Vasyl Mykhailov, Yaroslav Filchakov and Olympic champion Zhan Beleniuk, who won a confident victory in the fight for 3rd place and won an Olympic ticket for Ukraine, took the third step of the podium.
🇺🇦🇮🇹 Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze, the Chair of the Committee for Ukraine's Integration into the EU, took part in the conference "Ukraine in the European Union: Time to Act" held in the Italian Senate.
🔹 She thanked Italy and its people for their dedicated support of Ukraine and noted the tectonic shift in its policy towards Ukraine that took place after the full-scale invasion of russia.
💬 Now it is important to ensure unity around Ukraine: to stand with Ukraine until victory. To support Ukraine in the transformations necessary to achieve its strategic goals of EU and NATO membership, to help in the recovery and reconstruction after the war.
🔹 She noted that Ukraine is completing the fulfillment of seven requirements for candidate status.
💬 We expect a positive assessment and conclusion of the EC based on the results of fulfilling the requirements. And then we hope for the decision of the EU member states to open membership negotiations this year.

🇺🇦 Two gold medals, two silver medals and one bronze medal are the results of the Ukrainian climbing team at the European Junior and Youth Cup (speed), which ended in Hamburg, Germany.

The second issue is the supply of shells. This is a topic we are dealing with on a daily basis. Supplies from partners. 🔹 Austria, being a militarily neutral country, promises to support Ukraine humanitarian and financially at this important moment. Their generous financial assistance plays an important role in the overall EU assistance, which is important for Ukraine.
🔹 Austria supports President Zelenskyy's Peace Formula, which includes a return to the 1991 borders and the withdrawal of russian troops.
🔹 Austria is actively involved in the Council of Europe's damage register to determine the damage caused by the conflict and to create a mechanism for Ukraine to receive compensation.
The Ukrainian language, as the state language, should be unconditionally respected and used as much as possible at work and in all areas of everyday life and communication.
Today, an online project aimed at improving spoken and written Ukrainian language skills has been launched on the basis of the Educational Center of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
I am pleased that my initiative as the Vice Speaker of the Ukrainian Parliament and one of the co-authors of the Law "On Ensuring the Functioning of the Ukrainian Language as the State Language" has found its response and is beginning to be implemented.
Our online courses are open to everyone, adults and children. I hope they will be useful to many of the 5 million internally displaced citizens. We also want to tell more about the activities of the Verkhovna Rada under martial law. That's why the name of the program is "Dialogues about Parliament and Beyond".

🇺🇦🇦🇹 I am pleased to welcome to Kyiv the Austrian delegation headed by the President of the Austrian National Council Wolfgang Sobotka.
🇪🇺 I noted that all the efforts of the Ukrainian Parliament and Government are now focused on implementing the seven recommendations of the European Commission.
We expect the final positive recommendation of the European Commission in October, as well as the decision of the European Council in December to launch membership negotiations.
We raised the issue of sanctions pressure against russia. I emphasized that it should be intensified.
Much attention was paid to the topic of food security.
Another important topic was demining. I thanked Austria for allocating two million euros for humanitarian demining in Ukraine. I hope for continued assistance.
Finally, I called on Austria to join the initiative to support the return of Ukrainian children forcibly deported to russia.

It is important to refer to the European experience in electoral legislation for the sake of the most effective steps on our part.
This was emphasized during the roundtable discussion "On the Road to the European Union: Harmonization of Ukraine's Electoral Legislation with EU Law".
In particular, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is ready to implement the necessary measures, and where necessary, at an accelerated pace.
Our convocation has demonstrated that we treat the Electoral Code with respect and make all changes with an eye to preserving its basic principles.
At the same time, I added that elections in Ukraine should be held in conditions that will ensure their democratic nature and recognition. We also have the task of strengthening the institutional capacity of the CEC and the bodies maintaining the Register.

🔹 The enemy is deliberately attacking food security, ports, and granaries. He wants the world not to taste our bread.
🔹 The Armed Forces of Ukraine guarantee safe origin within the 12-mile zone. Three ships have already entered the port for loading. The best guarantee is our Armed Forces, but they need equipment.
🔹 Thanks to the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the capabilities of the Black Sea Fleet are no longer what they once were. But the blockade can be lifted only when the Black Sea Fleet goes down.

While in Lviv, my colleagues and I met with students of the Faculty of International Relations at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv.
First of all, I would like to thank the university community for the invitation and the opportunity to communicate with the best part of society — students. We know that it was they who started many things, including changes for the better in our country and the defense of Ukrainian principles and values.
And the student fraternity, the Lviv region fraternity, played a very important role in making our democracy and independence possible back in 1990.

🇺🇦 Greco-Roman wrestler Zhan Beleniuk put a bronze point in the performances of the national team of Ukraine at the World Cup in Belgrade, — the Youth and Sports Committee:
🔹 Along with the award in the 87 kg weight category, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic champion and Rio 2016 silver medalist also received a license for the third Olympic Games in Paris 2024.
🔹 Having suffered a defeat in the 1/8 finals against the current European vice-champion and bronze medalist of the previous world championship Ali Cengiz from Turkey, the 32-year-old Ukrainian wrestler got a chance to continue the fight in the consolation bracket and took it. He defeated Toni Metsomäki from Finland, Jalgasbay Berdimuratov from Uzbekistan and Nursultan Tursynov from Kazakhstan. Thus, he won his fifth career medal at the World Championships and the fifth award for Ukraine in the Serbian capital.
