❗️ On 14 April 2022, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 2188-IX "On the Statement of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine "On the Commitment of Genocide in Ukraine by the russian federation".
In the Statement, the Parliament of Ukraine appealed to the UN, the European Parliament, the PACE, the OSCE PA, the NATO PA, governments and parliaments of foreign countries to recognise the genocide against the Ukrainian people, crimes against humanity and war crimes committed by russia on the territory of Ukraine.
The document, in particular, states that the text of the Statement should be immediately sent to the listed international institutions and that the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine should take immediate measures to document the facts of the genocide against the Ukrainian people, crimes against humanity, war crimes and initiate prosecution of the perpetrators.

Today we have a very good result of our international work: Germany will provide us with an additional Patriot system — Chancellor Scholz and I agreed on this today. We are also working with Germany on an additional IRIS-T system, which is also a strong air defence system, and on missiles for our existing air defence systems. Germany's leadership is truly felt, and thanks to this leadership, we will be able to save thousands of lives and give Ukraine more protection from Russian terror.
We will continue to work with all partners who can also help. This week alone, I have already had conversations and meetings with the presidents of Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Romania, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, and Latvia. A new bilateral security agreement was signed with Latvia. I also spoke with the prime ministers of the Netherlands, Greece, Portugal, and Ireland. Today I had a conversation with the Chancellor of Germany. We will do everything to ensure the results in the coming weeks as well. In every conversation, at every meeting, air defence and the frontline are the main subjects. We are doing everything to have more capabilities for our Defence Forces and the defence-industrial complex.

❗️ The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation (UGF) has succeeded in changing the results of the World Cup draw in Sofia!
The Ukrainian Gymnastics Federation has made an official appeal to the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) and its President Morinari Watanabe regarding the inadmissibility of the "individual neutral athlete" from belarus Alina Harnasko together with representatives of the Ukrainian national team Viktoriia Onopriienko and Taisiia Onofriichuk performing in the same stream at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia.
This situation was to happen as a result of the draw on the eve of the start of the competition.
After reviewing the situation, the FIG leadership decided to go to a meeting with the UGF and change its decision. The "individual neutral athlete" from belarus was transferred to another stream.

🇺🇦 Meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine
Today, the focus is on the security situation and security threats, as well as on organising the overcoming of the consequences of the destruction of civilian infrastructure.
First of all, I thanked the military and civilians, the entire Ukrainian people, everyone who is resisting the russian invasion with dignity and defending Ukraine's sovereignty, independence and security with their daily work.
For my part, I emphasised that yesterday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a law that is extremely important for the state and society to improve the procedure for military service and mobilisation. The law, which was prepared by the Government together with the military, and which was finalised and agreed upon in a parliamentary committee for more than two months.

❗️ The Ukrainian law on mobilisation is one of the most liberal in terms of deferments, says Ihor Kopytin, the member of the National Security, Defence and Intelligence Committee.
The draft law on mobilisation adopted by the Parliament yesterday provides for social protection guarantees, a large incentive package and a transparent system of deferments.
The first and foremost task of this law was to update military records. The country's military command needs to understand what mobilisation potential they can count on,

🍇The European integration draft law "On grapes and viticulture products" is being prepared for consideration in the second reading, — the Agrarian Committee
Draft Law No. 9139 proposes to provide Ukrainian farmers with equal conditions for the production and circulation of wines with geographical indications, similar to the current rules in the EU, which will facilitate the entry of Ukrainian wine products into international markets.
The draft law will also have a positive impact on improving the quality of wine products; protecting domestic producers; eliminating factors that distort competition and traceability of grape and wine products from vine to bottle.
During the event, in particular, the final provisions of the draft law, the application of the Law of Ukraine "On Administrative Procedure" and the legal basis for liability for violation of legislation in the field of viticulture and winemaking, which are provided for by this draft law, were discussed.

❗️ The draft law on mobilisation will help to put things in order in this matter and show the mobilisation potential of Ukraine, — the member of the National Security, Defence and Intelligence Committee Fedir Venislavskyi
In the second reading, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted draft law No. 10449 on mobilisation. The document will help to verify data on persons liable for military service and minimise the risk of abuse in the process of obtaining a deferment or reservation.
The goal is for all persons liable for military service aged 18 to 60 to update their personal data related to military registration. We have 60 days to do this. After that, the state will see the full picture of who it can count on, what our mobilisation potential is,
On 10-11 April, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of important decisions.
📌No. 11163 — adopted the Resolution "On Certain Issues of Military Duty and Military Service under Martial Law" to speed up the Government's resolution of issues related to increasing the level of remuneration for servicemen performing combat (special) tasks during combat (special) operations on the line of contact with the enemy and in the enemy's territory.
IN TOTAL:
🟢No. 10449 — amended certain legislative acts of Ukraine on certain issues of military service, mobilisation and military registration.
FOR THE BASIS:
🟡No. 10439 — proposed amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine" to improve the work of the Bureau.
🟡No. 9559-d — proposed amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" to expand the powers of local self-government bodies during martial law.

🇺🇦 Ukrainians won three medals at the Para Judo World Cup, — the Youth and Sports Committee.
The national Paralympic judo team won three top awards at the World Judo Cup for the visually impaired, which was held in Antalya (Turkey) from 28 March to 02 April 2024.
The competition was attended by 178 athletes with disabilities from 41 countries, and seven Ukrainian parajudo athletes won two silver and one bronze medals.

Anzhela Havrysiuk — bronze.

❗️ The law on mobilisation is necessary for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Ukrainian army needs it, says Yevheniia Kravchuk, the Deputy Head of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
The army says that "we need this law, we need it in the form in which it was prepared by the relevant Committee and voted by the MPs. Therefore, one cannot be in opposition to the Armed Forces while saying that we believe, trust, etc.
The military command said that no, there can be no complete demobilisation. The army cannot go home when the enemy is amassing forces,
This is a very painstaking work that concerns planning and the competence of the military leadership. As soon as it is developed and discussed, the Verkhovna Rada will consider it,
Almost a year ago, on 24 August 2023, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the fundamental Law on Lawmaking.
The Law On Lawmaking regulates the main issues of lawmaking at all stages, defines the principles and functions of lawmaking, the hierarchy of legal acts, certain stages of the lawmaking process, etc.
This Law has already entered into force, but will be put into effect one year after the date of termination or cancellation of martial law in Ukraine.
Therefore, today, during a scientific and practical roundtable, together with academics, judges, and representatives of the executive branch of government, we discussed the specifics of implementing the provisions of the Law on Lawmaking for their best implementation in the domestic legal field.
For my part, I emphasised several practical things in the context of improving the legislative work of the Ukrainian Parliament.

Today I took part in the opening of the Reintegration Management Programme, a project to train management for the de-occupied territories, — Oleksandr Korniienko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
Our main fundamental principle is that Ukraine returns its people and property.
The programme participants will be able to understand how to find a balance between the principles of governance and urgent situations, and how to formulate personnel policy. This will allow us to join the reintegration process at the right time, which will definitely come.
European integration is also an important focus. Over the course of the programme, it will become clearer how to combine all our needs for managing the de-occupied territories in the context of EU accession.
Ukraine has clear borders — ours will remain ours.

❗️ The Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy considered a comparative table to the draft law on the basic principles of tourism development (No. 4162).
This European integration draft law was prepared through joint efforts of the Parliament, stakeholders and tourism experts.
In March, a working meeting was held with representatives of the European Parliament Committee on Transport and Tourism to exchange views and practices on the appropriate regulation of the EU tourism sector, which resulted in the resolution of issues of deregulation, statistics, digitalisation of processes, their content and tourist flows, and the timeliness of taking the necessary measures to address the pressing problem of overtourism in the world.
It should be noted that in the course of processing the amendments, the draft law underwent some conceptual changes for the second reading.

✅The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has supported the decentralisation initiative, which will allow communities to help the Defence Forces faster and easier, — Mariia Mezentseva, the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union.
Decentralisation is the most effective reform, and during the full-scale aggression of the russian federation, this reform did not stop and continues to move forward.
Everything that was previously used for development projects is now being used to protect energy infrastructure.

The UN has started talking about an existential threat to the people of Ukraine.
According to the latest data from the UN Assistant Secretary-General Miroslav Jenča, in March alone, russian attacks on civilian and energy infrastructure resulted in 126 civilian casualties:
- 126 civilians were killed;
- 478 people were wounded;
- among them, 57 children were killed and wounded;
- 12 medical and 32 educational institutions were destroyed or damaged.
Also according to UN agencies:
more than 14.6 million people, which is 40% of the population of Ukraine, are in need of humanitarian assistance, 56% of whom are women and girls.
The priority is civilian protection, air defence systems and missiles to them! This is the only way we can protect the Ukrainian people from an existential threat and stop a new wave of humanitarian catastrophe. Not words, but Patriots save lives!

🏐Ukrainian paravolleyball players won a licence for the 2024 Paralympics!
The Ukrainian men's sitting volleyball team won the international qualifying tournament in Dali (China).
In the gold medal match, the Ukrainians defeated the US team 3-0 (25-17, 32-30, 25-18) and received a pass to Paris 2024.
This is the 94th licence for the Ukrainian National Paralympic Team in 12 sports.

‼️ 🇪🇺 The European Parliament will not approve EU Council funding until Ukraine receives Patriot air defence systems! An unprecedented decision supported by 515 MEPs!
According to MEP, former Belgian Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt, there are 100 Patriots in the EU, while Ukraine needs only 7 systems.
Thus, the European Parliament has suspended the implementation of the EU Council budget until a decision is taken on additional Patriot supplies to Ukraine.

🇺🇦 Anastasiia Manevska won three bronze medals at the World Weightlifting Championships, — the Youth and Sports Committee.
These days, the final World Weightlifting Qualification Cup is taking place in Phuket (Thailand) on the eve of the Olympic Games.
Anastasiia Manevska, a representative of Ukraine who competes in the weight category of up to 87 kg, competed for medals.
A few days ago, Svitlana Samuliak also became a three-time bronze medallist at the World Cup in the weight category of up to 64 kg.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 Dozens of famous American artists, actors, activists and scientists, UNITED24 ambassadors, including Barbra Streisand, Sean Penn, Mark Hamill, Francis Fukuyama, Timothy Snyder, have appealed to the US Congress to help Ukraine, — the Vice Speaker Olena Kondratiuk.
"If russia breaks through, it will be our fault. And then we will understand what we have lost. Everything Ukraine does for us can be brought to naught. If Ukraine fails, we will find ourselves in a much more dangerous world...
And then it will be too late to do what now seems simple: help an ally who is fighting for his/her life by passing a law in Congress. What America should do to support Ukraine is minimal. On the night of 11 April 2024, the russian occupiers launched a combined attack with missiles of various types and attack UAVs. The main direction — Lviv region.
In total, the enemy used 82 means of air attack:
🚀 20 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic aviation aircraft (launch area — saratov region, russia);
🚀 6 X-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from MiG-31K fighters (launch area — tambov region — russian federation);
☄️ 12 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles (launched from the belgorod region — russian federation);
40 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs (from the areas of primorsko-akhtarsk — russian federation, Chauda — Crimea).
🚀 4 X-59 guided missiles (from the airspace of the occupied Zaporizhzhia region).
💥 Fighter aircraft and anti-aircraft missile troops of the Air Force, mobile fire groups and electronic warfare units of the Ukrainian Defence Forces were involved in repelling the enemy air attack.
As a result of air combat, 57 air targets were destroyed:
🚀 16 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles;
39 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs;
☄️ 2 X-59 guided missiles.
I am grateful to all the defenders of the sky who repelled another terrorist attack of the occupants last night.

🇺🇦🇨🇦 Ratification of the Free Trade Agreement with Canada opens up this market for our goods and entrepreneurs, — the Chairman of the Foreign Policy Committee Oleksandr Merezhko.
The Parliament has adopted Draft Law No. 0242, ratifying the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Canada. The document opens up opportunities to significantly strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement concluded between Ukraine and Canada is an extremely important international legal document. Canada is our reliable partner, not only in terms of military assistance, but also in terms of trade and economic relations. The agreement extends the free market and promotes the development of economic relations between our countries.
According to the document, Ukrainian goods acquire the so-called national treatment, that is, this agreement creates additional opportunities for our producers, businessmen, opens Canadian markets for our goods and our entrepreneurs,
