Pokrovsk direction, Donetsk region. Almost every day, it is consistently the hardest part of the front. The occupier's pressure there is the greatest. Every day there is the highest number of battles. Just yesterday, there were more than forty attacks, and today, by this time, there have already been more than twenty.
Each of our warriors who is destroying the enemy there, each soldier and commander who is doing their best to hold our positions and help the warriors in the neighboring positions deserves our special gratitude.
We are making every effort to ensure that you and our entire army have more weapons, more equipment, and more modern systems. Today, there was already a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi, and there will be a report from DIU Chief Budanov – we are preparing our new steps. Ukraine will definitely defend itself.

🇪🇺 Elections to the European Parliament.
This is a crucial stage in the development of the common European family. The votes of our European friends who will participate in these elections will determine the fate of the world's most successful unification project.
History has seen many attempts at unification. But not all of them were successful and stood the test of time. Some of them collapsed when people lost the sense of common principles, values, mutual respect and the desire to build a common future.
I sincerely hope that these elections will become another stage of cohesion for the European Union and a model of responsibility for the common future.
I sincerely believe that as a result, the European Parliament will be led by responsible political forces that will be able to make it even stronger, safer and more comfortable for everyone. Not populists who seek to destroy the EU and create a shameful copy of the USSR 2.0 on its territory.
I sincerely hope that Ukraine will soon return to its common European home, for whose democratic values and principles it is paying a terrible price today.

Within the framework of the Forum of National Minorities (Communities) of Ukraine: European Perspective, Dialogue, Protection of Rights, we discussed the topic of an inclusive approach to strengthening a cohesive society.
In fact, over the past two years, Ukrainian society has made fantastic strides towards increasing tolerance and inclusiveness. This is evidenced by recent polls. Compared to the previous ones, the growth is very noticeable.
In particular, we touched upon legislative initiatives to protect the rights of national minorities (communities) in our country. The relevant draft law has been voted by the Verkhovna Rada and the Government is now actively taking the next steps to implement the provisions — I hope we will soon move on to the next stage, namely parliamentary control.

I took part in the presentation of the Ukrainian-Korean project for the development of the Bucha Techno Garden Industrial Park.
On behalf of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, I thanked our partners from South Korea for their active participation in the life of our Bucha community. Throughout this time of full-scale invasion, we have felt their support and assistance in reconstruction, economy, and strategic projects.
Bucha is not only an economically attractive area, but also a city that demonstrated the highest level of endurance, struggle and courage during the russian offensive in early 2022.
At the same time, I thanked all the representatives and managers of enterprises that join industrial parks and pay taxes, which become real help to our soldiers — converted into shells, in particular.
I am confident that in a few months we will be able to evaluate very powerful results — we will move as quickly and intensively as possible.

On 30 May, Volodymyr Yavorskyi, a powerful athlete and player of the Antares rugby club, was killed in the hottest area of military operations in Chasovyi Yar.
The tragic news was reported by the Rugby Federation of Ukraine.
The staff of the Committee on Youth and Sports expresses its sincere condolences to Volodymyr's family and friends.

❗️ Ukraine has an agreement with the IMF at the expert level to provide a $2.2 billion tranche, — Roksolana Pidlasa, the Chair of the Budget Committee.
We have fulfilled all the obligations we undertook for this period, so the decision will be positive. This is a historic moment, because for the first time in its history, Ukraine is undergoing the fourth review of the programme,
❗️ The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law on Support of Scientific Work in Higher Education Institutions (No. 9600).
The adoption of the Law is a strategic step. It was developed to fulfil the obligations under Article 431 of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.
The adopted law will, in particular, allow:
- to involve practitioners in the educational process in higher education to show how theoretical knowledge works in practice;
- to allow existing lecturers to decide whether to combine teaching with research or to practice without the need to imitate such activities;
- to guarantee academic staff the opportunity to conduct research in the amount of at least 30% of their paid working time;
- the maximum teaching load of pedagogical staff to be no more than 60% of their working time;
- pedagogical staff can implement up to 30% of the educational programme, and 70% of the educational programme should be provided by research and teaching staff.

⚡️ 48 STRIKE UAVs AND 5 CRUISE MISSILES WERE DESTROYED

On the night of 7 June 2024, the enemy attacked Ukraine's critical infrastructure facilities from strategic aviation — Tu-95MS bombers from the airspace of saratov region and Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs from the areas of primorsko-akhtarsk, yeysk, kursk in russia and Cape Chauda in Crimea.
A total of 5 X-101/X-555 air-launched cruise missiles and 53 Shahed-131/136 strike UAVs were used.
💥 The air attack was repelled by mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defence Forces, fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile and electronic warfare units of the Air Force.
As a result of air combat, 48 attack UAVs and 5 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles were shot down in Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Odesa, Kharkiv, Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions.

Important decisions in the Rada for our foreign policy, bringing peace closer and implementing reforms on the path to Ukraine's EU membership.
🇺🇦🕊 The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a resolution to appeal to international institutions to support the Global Peace Summit on 15-16 June 2024 in Switzerland.
We call on them to:
1) Support the President of Ukraine's Peace Formula as a comprehensive, effective and realistic peace plan and join the preparation of a common peace framework to put an end to russia's armed aggression against Ukraine;
2) Counteract the attempts of the aggressor state to "legitimise" its violations of the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, recognising Ukraine's right to fight against armed aggression until the full restoration of its territorial integrity within the internationally recognised state border;

🇪🇺 Ukraine will receive €50 billion in aid from the EU, says Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze, the Chair of the Committee for Ukraine's Integration into the EU.
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted a draft law approving the Ukraine Facility Plan, which provides for EUR 50 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine over five years.
According to the plan, €33 billion will be provided in the form of loans and €17 billion in grants. The funds will be used to support the Ukrainian economy, reforms and investments.
The loans will not be unconditional. Ukraine will be required to fulfil a number of commitments, such as reforms in the areas of public administration, anti-corruption and the rule of law.

🇪🇺 The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, has announced the preliminary results of the elections to the institution for the 2024-2029 convocation.
These are the data as of 20:12, with votes from 11 countries.

🇪🇺 The European Parliament elections, which have been taking place since 6 June, are coming to an end today.
Preliminary results are due to be announced in the evening.
According to Yevheniia Kravchuk, the Deputy Chair of the Committee, Chair of the Subcommittee on Information Policy and European Integration of the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, 720 MPs are being elected for the next five years. The image shows the dates of voting in all 27 member states.

Today I spoke with the Commander-in-Chief – overall, about the situation.
A significant outcome is that the Russian army has failed to execute their Kharkiv operation. We are currently restraining them to the best of our ability, destroying Russian units that enter our land and terrorize the Kharkiv region. The direction is reinforced. And it will be reinforced even more.
There was also a report on the Donetsk directions, where the situation is the most difficult.
I would also like to commend our units that showed the best performance in combat this week. The Kharkiv direction – the 36th separate marine infantry brigade and the 92nd separate assault brigade. Thank you! In the Donetsk region, I thank all the soldiers and commanders of the 55th separate artillery brigade. Consistently efficient! In addition, based on this week's results, warriors of the Defense Intelligence, in particular, the "Group 13" unit and the "Shaman" special unit, deserve special mention. Well done! And our warriors of the Security Service of Ukraine – the Center of Special Operations “A”, the Departments of Counterintelligence and Military Counterintelligence. Thank you! Each destroyed unit of Russian equipment, each Russian loss is a contribution to the guarantee of our independence.

❗️ The Environmental Policy and Nature Management Committee held a roundtable discussion on Ukraine's climate policy.
The participants discussed the following issues:
- introduction of a new climate policy in Ukraine, in particular, the introduction of a greenhouse gas emissions trading system, as well as changes in the taxation of greenhouse gas emissions, taking into account CBAM mechanisms (in particular, the introduction of CBAM mechanisms for the export of certain categories of goods from Ukraine to the EU);
- decarbonisation of the Ukrainian economy;
- coherence of climate policy with the state energy policy;
- reforming the carbon taxation system.
Despite the challenges posed by the hostilities, Ukraine continues to implement EU standards and climate projects. 2024 is the year of climate dialogue for Ukraine.

🌾 According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 7.2 million hectares of oilseeds and almost 5.6 million hectares of grains and legumes were sown in the territory controlled by Ukraine, the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy reports.
In particular, farmers sowed more than 99% of the projected areas of spring grains and legumes:
corn — 3,928 thousand hectares (100.4% of the projected area);
barley — 783 thousand hectares (95.7%);
wheat — 252.7 thousand hectares (102.6%);
oats — 163.7 thousand hectares (100.7%);
peas — 162.5 thou hectares (101.6%);
buckwheat — 100.8 thou hectares (80.7%);
millet — 69.7 thou hectares (81.8%).
Among the oilseeds, the area under sunflower was 5,189.8 thou hectares (98%), and soybeans — 2,032.3 thou hectares (102%).
Sugar beet was sown on the area of 250.1 thou hectares (97%).

I signed the Law "On the Use of English in Ukraine" adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
I am convinced that the importance of this law, initiated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi, will be appreciated by future generations.
This is a real chance for intellectual, cultural, historical, mental and spiritual transformation for each of us.
This is a real chance for Ukrainian children to become part of the global civilisation.
This is a real chance, not a political trick, to fulfil the age-old Ukrainian demand: “Away from moscow”.
Let's not waste this chance.

It is a great pleasure when Ukraine's best friends come to visit us in such a difficult time.
Today I met with a Latvian delegation headed by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia, Mr Hosams Abu Meri.
This meeting is a continuation of my previous visit to Latvia.
I thanked the Minister for his leading role in providing rehabilitation opportunities for Ukrainian wounded soldiers. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, 320 people have already undergone such rehabilitation. The Minister also said that this year's quota of 150 patients per year has been increased to 200.
And the Vaivari National Centre, where Ukrainian patients are being rehabilitated, is a brand in this field in the world.
Latvia has also provided 67 ambulances to Ukraine, and they are already performing their tasks where they are needed most. And continues training courses for our medical staff and neurosurgeons.
Our cooperation continues!

❗️ The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law of Ukraine on Prevention of Violence and Prevention of Child Abuse (No. 6393-d).
The adopted Law, in particular, will allow:
- to comprehensively regulate the issue of preventing and combating bullying (harassment) in all major spheres of public life where children are in organised groups;
- to include bullying in the broader category of "child abuse", which also includes domestic and gender-based violence;
- to establish clear responsibilities of managers and employees of relevant institutions and an algorithm of their actions in case of detection of signs of any violence against a child;
- to define mechanisms for preventing child abuse in educational, physical culture and sports, health and recreation, cultural and other institutions where children are present for the purpose of education, training, creativity, health improvement, recreation, treatment, etc.
🇺🇦🇪🇺 Ukraine has completed all the tasks required to approve the negotiation framework with the EU.
This was announced at a special meeting of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the EU by Olha Stefanishyna, Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine.
The Committee's meeting was dedicated to the status of preparations for the approval and presentation of the EU negotiation framework and Ukraine's negotiating position for the start of EU accession negotiations at the first intergovernmental conference.
Olha Stefanishyna informed that by the end of this week, the European Commission will present the final assessment of Ukraine's fulfilment of its political commitments.
She added that by the end of June, the negotiating framework is expected to be approved by the European Commission and the first intergovernmental conference will be held.

🧑🏫 Educational Day in the Parliament!
A resolution on the Verkhovna Rada Award for the best NMT participants was voted for. A package of laws was also adopted to regulate preschool education in line with European standards and support research in higher education institutions.
Amendments were made to some laws of Ukraine on the prevention of violence and the prevention of child abuse.
In particular, the Law on Preschool Education, No. 8030, was adopted in its entirety.
🕵️ The draft law on academic integrity (No. 10392) was adopted as a basis. It is intended to provide legal certainty in the content, counteraction and sanctions for violations of academic integrity through specific core values defined by the global academic community: honesty, trust, respect, justice, responsibility, resilience, and determination.
Education in time of war is crucial!

❗️ Draft law #10392 on academic integrity was adopted in the first reading! — Yuliia Hryshyna, the member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation.
The document clearly sets out rules and regulations aimed at preventing plagiarism, falsification of research results and other violations of academic integrity.
The draft law will demonstrate our commitment to European standards of education and science, as well as contribute to the creation of a transparent and fair academic environment.
The document was developed based on the experience of European countries.

Students have always been an important driving force in the history of Ukraine!
Now they are giving their lives at the front for the sake of the country and its people.
The government's task is to do everything possible to make higher education more qualitative and to ensure that student self-government provides opportunities for greater comprehensive development and realisation of leadership skills.
I am grateful to my colleagues for adopting the draft law No. 10279 on expanding the rights of student self-government bodies and ensuring the rights of higher education students as a basis — we must make it perfect by the second reading! 💪🏻

❗️ The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the draft Law on Academic Integrity (No. 10392) as a basis.
The adoption of the Law of Ukraine "On Academic Integrity" will be a historic step, as it has no analogues in any country in the European space.
The law will provide an opportunity to raise the level of culture in all educational and research institutions to a higher level, in line with European standards, and to establish the values of academic integrity both in the academic environment and in society as a whole.
The formation of a culture of academic integrity in educational institutions should lead to:
- Increasing confidence in the learning outcomes of students;
- Improving the quality of education;
- Improving the quality and integrity of scientific research;
- Increasing the integrity of citizens (school and university graduates) in public life: in the civil service, courts, law enforcement agencies, business, etc.
