I joined the event on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Educational Centre of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
I congratulate its entire team on this day!
You have never stopped working, developing, achieving and moving forward. And this is confirmed by the results:
✅ More than 300 thousand participants in events during this time;
840 parliamentary and educational events;
✅Drawings by Ukrainian children have been sent to many politicians around the world, including parliamentarians.
The results are truly powerful, given all the contexts in which they are achieved. Everyone is working to achieve a just peace in Ukraine, including the lifting of all restrictions, which will allow young Ukrainian citizens to visit the Parliament again.
The contribution of the respective projects is fantastic. I wish them further development and expansion of their audience. Let the next five years be even more active!

Each bilateral security agreement signed by Ukraine is filled with specifics and strengthens our capabilities, — Arsenii Pushkarenko, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
Bilateral security agreements strengthen our capabilities, not only military, but also economic, to implement reforms and restore the state.
We already have 23 signed security agreements — 22 states and the EU separately. Another 9 bilateral documents are being processed,

Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Social Policy and Protection of Veterans' Rights, spoke about the military cemetery near Kyiv
In the first reading and in general, the Verkhovna Rada made changes to who has the right to be buried in this military cemetery.
Those people who defended our country at the cost of their own lives should be buried with honour, and all future generations should be brought up on their heroic deeds.

This decision was made by the European Parliament.
Ursula has identified Ukraine's accession to the EU and strengthening Europe's security as one of the priorities of her next five-year presidency.
"The best investment in European security is an investment in Ukraine's security," she said.
I am proud of the responsible personal and women's leadership that Ursula von der Leyen demonstrates. 👏 Thank you for the support of the Ukrainian people! I wish Madam President success in implementing all her plans during her new term!

🇪🇺 The European Parliament has elected Ursula von der Leyen as President of the European Commission ‼️
The overwhelming majority of MEPs voted for her candidacy — 401 votes in favour.
A German politician from the European People's Party (EPP), a member of the Christian Democratic Union, Minister of Defence of Germany in 2013-2019, Ms von der Leyen has been heading the European Commission since 2019. She was nominated for a second term for the first time in the history of the EU.
As President of the European Commission, Ms von der Leyen has consistently advocated for assistance to Ukraine and has supported and encouraged our country on its path to the European Union.
🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺 Congratulations on the re-election of a great friend and partner of Ukraine, Ursula von der Leyen, as President of the European Commission!
The German politician will serve as President of the European Commission for the next five years.
🇺🇦🇪🇺 The EU must support Ukraine until victory!
It is significant that the new convocation of the European Parliament, headed by the re-elected President Roberta Metsola, has started its work by adopting a resolution in support of Ukraine.
The document was voted for by 495 MEPs, a convincing majority.
✅ The European Parliament, in particular, emphasises that the EU should continue to support Kyiv as long as necessary — until victory.
✅ MEPs expressed their unwavering support for Ukraine's independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders.
✅ Called on the EU to maintain and expand its sanctions policy against russia and belarus and to monitor their effectiveness.
✅ Stressed that russia must compensate for the damage caused to Ukraine.

Newly elected European Parliament reaffirms its strong support for Ukraine! 🇪🇺🇺🇦
During the first plenary session, a resolution was adopted. In particular, it states the following:
🔵 the active further work of the European Union to maintain international support for Ukraine;
🔵 providing military support to our country for as long as necessary and in any form;
🔵 maintaining and extending EU sanctions against russia and belarus.
We are grateful for the support of Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity within its internationally recognised borders. We continue on our path to security, peace and stability — the kind of security Ukrainians and the world deserve!

Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions, including:
IN GENERAL:
🟢 7331 — amended certain laws of Ukraine to simplify the conditions for conducting economic activity during the period of martial law (state of emergency) in Ukraine;
🟢 9518 — amended the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine" to improve the legal regulation of the institute of starostas and its activities under martial law;
AS BASIS:
🟡 11028 — proposed to amend certain laws of Ukraine regarding the priority right of certain categories of internally displaced persons to receive compensation for destroyed real estate;
🟡 11281 — proposed to amend certain laws of Ukraine on ensuring the housing rights of internally displaced persons;
🟡 10167 — proposed to amend the Law of Ukraine "On the Transfer of State and Communal Property".

10 years since the terrible tragedy — russia shot down the MH17 passenger plane. Hundreds of victims, including children.
10 years since it became clear that our neighbours are seeking to kill and torture on Ukrainian soil.
Eternal memory to all the victims of russian aggression.
We remember every crime and its consequences. Justice and accountability will not escape any perpetrator.

Here are the numbers:
Compulsory learning of English, starting from kindergarten, is supported (fully or partially) by approximately 81.5% of respondents.
As for compulsory knowledge of English for senior civil servants, 80.3 per cent of respondents are in favour of such an obligation.

🇺🇦🇩🇪 An important meeting with the Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Martin Jaeger.
I thanked the German people for their significant support for Ukraine. Germany ranks second after the United States in terms of the amount of assistance provided, especially military aid.
🤝 We appreciate the efforts to strengthen Ukraine's air defence, as it is about the opportunity to live, work and study in Ukraine.
We are grateful to Germany for the successful organisation and holding of the important International Conference on Ukraine's Recovery in Berlin.
We discussed Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration with the Ambassador.
Martin Jaeger stressed that Germany supports Ukraine's accession to the EU.
Germany also has no doubt that Ukraine will become a NATO member. This path, following the results of the Washington Summit, is irreversible.

🇫🇷 The National Assembly of the French Republic has elected Yaël Braun-Pivet as speaker
She received 220 votes of the newly elected deputies.
The Speaker of the National Assembly has visited Ukraine on several occasions.
In her speech to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, she said: "Already in 1992, France was among the first countries to open an embassy in Kyiv. Since the beginning of the war, having made every effort to preserve peace, France has admired and supported the struggle of the Ukrainian people for their independence and freedom."

🇺🇦🇫🇷 I was pleased to meet and start fruitful cooperation with the Ambassador of France to Ukraine, Gaël Veyssière.
I thanked France for military and humanitarian assistance, support for Ukraine's accession to the EU and NATO.
🤝 We are very grateful for France's contribution to the vital protection of Ukrainian skies. In particular, the transfer of the SAMP/T air defence system together with Italian partners. As the Ambassador noted, his country is now doing everything possible to provide Ukraine with a sufficient number of missiles for this system.

❗️ The Verkhovna Rada has adopted as a basis the European integration draft law on the information and communication system "State Agrarian Register"
Draft Law No. 11063-d will facilitate the implementation of the EU's Ukraine Facility initiative and provides that state support will be provided exclusively through the State Agrarian Register, which will have access to electronic registers (land cadastre, property register, animal register, etc.).
The SAR will be a register of producers (farmers' register), which will ensure transparent provision of material and financial support to farmers.
This will improve the provision of state support, local budgets, international aid and grants, and will meet the requirements of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Electronic Registers".

❗️ The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law on the activities of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide
The purpose of adopting Law No. 10361 is to create legislative conditions for monitoring the activities of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide in the context of a full-scale invasion.
The law proposes a procedure for the formation and determination of the powers of the museum's supervisory board and expert council, which should include representatives of professional and scientific groups, international organisations and descendants of the Holodomor victims.

Today, the Parliament of Ukraine adopted a number of decisions. Among them:
IN GENERAL:
🟢 11396 — amended Section VI "Final and Transitional Provisions" of the Budget Code of Ukraine;
🟢10361 — amended the legislation on the activities of the National Museum of the Holodomor Genocide;
🟢 11271 — amended certain laws of Ukraine to ensure the performance of a military funeral ritual during an honourable burial at the National Military Memorial Cemetery;
🟢 11068 — amended the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences to increase liability for petty theft of property.
AS BASIS:
🟡 5870-d — the Draft Law on the Protection of Media Services Provided with Conditional Access was adopted in the first reading;
🟡 11335 — proposed amendments to certain legislative acts of Ukraine to improve the mechanism for providing land to the Defence Forces.

❗️ The Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy recommends adopting the draft law on the activities of religious organisations in Ukraine as a Law.
The Committee has reviewed the conclusion to draft law No. 8371, which makes it impossible for religious organisations with ties to the russian federation to operate in Ukraine.
For the second reading, the wording of some of the document's provisions was expanded, in particular, Article 3 now reads:
The russian orthodox church is an ideological continuation of the regime of the aggressor state, an accomplice to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed on behalf of the russian federation and the russian world ideology, and the activities of the russian orthodox church in Ukraine are prohibited.
This is, in fact, a quote from the PACE Resolution, which means that we are also reinforcing our law with international documents,
🇪🇺🇺🇦The European Commission has supported the provision of almost €4.2 billion to Ukraine, — the Committee on Ukraine's Integration into the European Union
The European Commission will disburse the first regular instalment of around EUR 4.2 billion under the Ukraine Facility programme. This EU programme is aimed at supporting Ukraine's macro-financial stability and the functioning of public administration. The total amount of funding under the Ukraine Facility will reach €12 billion.
Regular quarterly disbursements under the Ukraine Facility programme are conditional on Ukraine's implementation of reforms. The European Commission has concluded that Ukraine has satisfactorily implemented nine reform indicators required to receive the first instalment.
The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said:
Despite all the difficulties, Ukraine is continuing key reforms for its recovery and rapprochement with the EU.
We are working to make this week really productive in terms of relations with our partners.
Today I held a meeting with the foreign policy team of the Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We need strong decisions from our partners that will allow us to put this war on a course to its just conclusion. And I thank everyone who shows appropriate leadership. Honest leadership.
I also signed a decree today that enacts the National Security and Defense Council's decision on the new Maritime Security Strategy of Ukraine. This document takes into account the security changes and innovations that we have ensured, particularly in the Black Sea, in the development of our forces. This is a modern strategy, and we will implement it together with our partners. In the near future, I am going to discuss the details of this Strategy with them. With those who, like us, want stable security for their regions and for the entire world.
I thank everyone who is helping! I also thank all employees of our state institutions, our warriors, our special services and all representatives of Ukrainian civil society who were involved in the preparation of the Strategy.

❗️ The Chairperson of the Budget Committee Roksolana Pidlasa met with the World Bank delegation headed by the Executive Director Eugene Rhuggenaath
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the World Bank has provided Ukraine with more than USD 2 billion in direct budget support and is among the top 7 largest donors to the Ukrainian budget over the years
♻️ The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the Law "On Integrated Industrial Pollution Prevention and Control"
Draft Law No. 11355 strengthens control over industrial pollution, ensures environmental protection and creates conditions for safe life and health.
The implementation of the Law will contribute to:
- Improving the state of the environment;
- reducing the impact of industrial discharges and emissions on the health of Ukrainian citizens
- gradual transition to modern environmentally friendly green technologies;
- ensuring environmental safety and maintaining ecological balance;
- reducing the number of permits in the field of environmental protection;
- establishing a clear, transparent and digitalised process for obtaining an integrated environmental permit.

🇪🇺 Newly elected European Parliament reaffirms its support for Ukraine — resolution
The newly elected European Parliament (EP) has adopted a resolution reaffirming the need for the European Union to continue to support Ukraine in repelling russian aggression and securing its future EU membership.
The resolution "The need for continued EU support for Ukraine" was voted on Wednesday in Strasbourg during the first plenary session of the European Parliament. The vote was 495 in favour, 137 against, and 47 abstentions.
The EP reaffirms its position of continued support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognised borders and the EU's unwavering commitment to provide political, financial, economic, humanitarian, military and diplomatic support as long as necessary to ensure Ukraine's victory,
🍇The viticulture and winemaking industry must comply with the rules of the European Union, — Oleksandr Haidu, the Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy.
The full-scale invasion and power outages are having a negative impact on the Ukrainian wine industry. Some farms are forced to uproot their vineyards or cease operations entirely due to unprofitability.
The viticulture and winemaking industry must comply with the rules of the European Union. To achieve this, it is important to adopt the European integration draft Law of Ukraine No. 9139 "On Grapes and Viticulture Products" prepared by the Committee for the second reading.

🇺🇦🇱🇻 The Latvian government has stood shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion and has provided not only substantial military but also humanitarian assistance.
The Latvian government has decided to allocate 100,000 euros for the functioning of Ukrainian medical institutions in the war.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorised to make a contribution on behalf of Latvia to support the work of Ukrainian medical institutions. The funds will be used for their reconstruction and provision of medical equipment, operation and treatment of patients.
The decision of the Latvian authorities to allocate funds to support Ukrainian medical institutions is also a response to the russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital.
