❗️ The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris have become a real triumph for Ukraine — Ukraine has risen to 17th place in the Olympic medal standings after nine days of competition!
Ukrainian athletes have demonstrated unsurpassed skill and fortitude, and have won 6 medals so far: 2 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze.
These awards are a testament to the great work done by our athletes and their coaches. Each of these medals is not only a personal success for the athletes, but also a great victory for the whole country.
The Youth and Sports Committee sincerely congratulates all the athletes, coaches and their families on these outstanding achievements.
We are proud of you and your achievements on the world stage! We wish you new victories and conquest of new heights in the name of Ukrainian sport.

Combat aircraft that we have been waiting for and that can significantly enhance our capabilities and our capacities.
Ukraine has been working for a long time to make the "impossible" possible, to make F-16s appear in the Ukrainian skies.
We have done a tremendous amount of political and diplomatic work, held numerous meetings with our partners, first and foremost meetings of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi with partners.
We succeeded in convincing our partners, and I am grateful to our allies for such a significant contribution to improving our defence capabilities.
I am proud of the Ukrainian pilots and engineers who have mastered the fighter jets.
They are our heroes. As is everyone who is defending Ukraine today.

Pavlo Korostyliov is in the finals of the 2024 Olympics in small-calibre pistol shooting. Following the results of the two parts of the qualification, he showed the third result and entered the top 6. Another Ukrainian, Maksym Horodynets, finished eighth in the qualification.
The 25-metre pistol final will take place on Monday, 5 August, at 10:30 a.m. This will be the last shooting final for Ukrainians at the 2024 Olympics.

Ukrainian athlete Mykhailo Kokhan has won a bronze medal in the hammer throw at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris
In his best attempt, the 23-year-old Ukrainian showed a result of 79.39 metres and brought Ukraine another medal at the Paris Olympics.
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Youth and Sports congratulates Mykhailo on this achievement and wishes him further victories for the benefit of Ukrainian sport.

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Khyzhniak defeated two-time Olympic champion Cuban Arlen López Cardona in the 1/2 finals of the Olympic Games in the 80 kg weight category.
Oleksandr reached the final of the Olympics and guaranteed Ukraine at least one more silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris.

First of all, today our gratitude goes to each of our warriors and all those who work in our defense industry for striking Russian airfields, oil refineries, and logistics. It is most effective when the consequences of the Russian war are brought back home to Russia, and when the enemy has no place of peace in the occupied territories of our country. Today, Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi reported to me on the details of these strikes. Warriors, I thank everyone involved.
And we continue to tell our partners absolutely clearly that Ukraine needs to carry out strikes — really long-range strikes against the Russian occupier. Wherever the occupier is, wherever Russia strikes Ukraine from, wherever it launches missiles, "Shahed" drones, bombs from. We need this decision so that we can use all the weapons that can be effective.
We must protect the lives of our people and end the war on Ukrainian terms, and every strike that accurately responds to Russia's aerial bombs, that destroys Russian logistics and bases, that makes it more difficult for the occupier to stay on our land — every such strike brings the just end to the war closer. The just one for Ukraine and for all who value life.
I thank every one of our warriors in the Armed Forces, in Intelligence, and in the Security Service of Ukraine who ensures this with the forces we have and provides us with such necessary long-range results.
