🇲🇽 A photo exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian children during the war is being held in Mexico City as part of the #BringKidsBackUA initiative.
It is important to convey the truth about the consequences of the russian invasion for the most vulnerable — our children — to all corners of the world. Especially to audiences in the Global South, where russian propaganda is traditionally strong.
The aim of the exhibition is to promote the expansion of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children. Mexico has not yet joined the coalition, but we hope it will soon.
After all, protecting the rights of illegally deported Ukrainian children is about upholding common values — human rights and international humanitarian law.

The Committee on Law Enforcement proposes that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine establish a new type of punishment — deprivation of a state award of Ukraine.
This punishment is proposed to be applied to persons convicted of
- a serious or particularly serious crime,
- a criminal offence against the foundations of Ukraine's national security, peace, human security and international law and order.
It is also proposed to deprive those who promote or propagandise the aggressor state of their awards.
A person who is deprived of state awards of Ukraine will automatically lose the right to all rights and benefits provided for the presence of such an award.
✅ The relevant provisions are contained in draft law No. 11410 submitted by the President of Ukraine. The Committee recommends that the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopt it as a basis and as a whole after consideration in the first reading.

🇺🇦🇪🇪 Estonia with Ukraine!
Tallinn has handed over another batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine. It includes 5 fully equipped ambulances belonging to the Tallinn Emergency Service and medical equipment.
These ambulances will be used in Zhytomyr, Odesa, Kharkiv and Dnipro regions. The capital of Estonia also donated medical equipment to Ukraine: electric aspirators, defibrillators, equipment for dosing and administering medicines, stretchers, stretcher chairs, vacuum medical mattresses, etc.
👏 We are sincerely grateful to the City Council and the community of Tallinn for this critical humanitarian aid. It will save many lives of Ukrainians during the shelling of our cities by russia. After all, at such moments, when it is necessary to quickly provide assistance and transport the victims from the sites of damage to hospitals, every minute is precious.
🤝 Thank you, Estonia!

🏦 The draft law will enable state-owned banks to sell non-performing loans at a reduced price in a transparent manner, which will not be regarded as causing losses, said Oleksii Movchan, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Development.
The parliamentarian took part in the discussion of important draft laws No. 11139 and No. 11138 at the meeting of the Committee of the Association of Ukrainian Banks.
The first one is aimed at cancelling the outdated moratorium on the forced sale of property of state-owned enterprises, while the second one is aimed at solving the problem of non-performing loans (NPLs) in state-owned banks.
These changes bring Ukraine's legal standards closer to the European ones, which is an important step towards EU accession.

A meeting of the Interagency Working Group on Improvement of Legislation on Public Administration, where I am a co-chair together with Oleh Nemchinov, the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, took place.
I believe it is important and symbolic that the co-chairs of the Group are members of the Ukrainian delegation to the EU negotiating the Association Agreement. After all, we can use the platform of the Interagency Working Group to formulate our negotiating position on the public administration reform to the maximum extent possible. We see Ukraine's accession to the European Union and the development of public governance at the appropriate high level as the final stage of the reform.
In particular, during our meeting, we presented the results of the implementation of the civil servants' remuneration reform for the first half of 2024.

📌Ukraine Facility is not only about providing the necessary financial support, but also about strengthening the financial stability and competitiveness of our country, — Lesia Zaburanna, the member of the Budget Committee.
The Ukraine Facility programme is about strengthening the financial stability and competitiveness of our country. Having fulfilled all the points of this plan, it will be easier for us to adapt and enter the European legislation and the European Union. So, if we expect to receive 16 billion this year, we hope to implement all the necessary reforms for this by the end of the year,
Now all of us in Ukraine should act as unitedly and efficiently as we did in the first weeks and months of this war, when Ukraine took the initiative and began to turn the situation to the benefit of our state. Now we have done the exact same thing – we have proven once again that we, Ukrainians, are capable of achieving our goals in any situation – capable of defending our interests and our independence. And we must make full use of our achievements. And we will.
We are paying attention to every direction of our state's defense. To all frontline directions. Donetsk region – Pokrovsk, Toretsk, Kramatorsk directions. Kharkiv region. The South. Special attention is paid to the Kursk region, and thus to the protection of all our border communities nearby. The more the Russian military presence in the border area is destroyed, the closer peace and real security will be for our country. The Russian state must be held accountable for what it has done. And it is.
I am proud of our people! Glory to Ukraine!
🇺🇦🤝🇪🇺 Good news from our European friends and partners!
Ukraine has received almost €4.2 billion from the European Union's €50 billion #UkraineFacility Fund.
These funds will help support the Ukrainian state in its fight for withstanding, but also for peace, prosperity and security of the whole of Europe.
In total, since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion, the EU has already provided assistance to the Ukrainian people totalling almost €114 billion.
We are grateful to the European Union and its member states for their strong support and solidarity with Ukraine in the fight against the evil that has come to our land and threatens all free and democratic peoples of Europe.

Together with the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, I took part in the Ukrainian Youth Forum 2024 "Free to Dream".
Addressing young people and representatives of youth organisations, I outlined the most important decisions in the field of youth policy adopted by the Ukrainian Parliament.
Among them are the laws:
📌 on the recognition of the Plast movement and the peculiarities of state support for the Plast and Scout movements;
📌on the basic principles of state policy in the field of strengthening Ukrainian national and civic identity;
📌 on the basic principles of youth policy.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Parliament continues to discuss the establishment of a youth advisory body.
Young people have always been the driving force behind all large-scale state changes.
I believe that this will continue to be the case.

🌾The agricultural sector is one of the most important for Ukraine's economy and is our country's business card on the foreign market.
During my visit to the Zhytomyr region, I met with representatives of the agricultural business. We held a dialogue on the state agricultural policy — the current state of affairs, challenges and further development of the sector.
In particular, we discussed the relevant draft laws, fuel excise taxes and the expansion of programmes for farmers.
At the same time, we paid attention to the topic of European integration — what awaits the sector upon joining the EU.
In addition, I got acquainted with the activities of Organic Milk. The main activity is the production of certified organic products and the development of the organic market in our country. This is an example of how the agricultural sector can move forward even during a full-scale invasion.

❗️ No CSTO country has made an official statement on the situation in kursk region, — the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on Ukraine's Integration with the EU, Head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE Mariia Mezentseva-Fedorenko
The CSTO countries have not made any official statements on the situation in Ukraine. Recently, India called on its citizens to evacuate the belgorod and kursk regions. russia is trying to maintain calm, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are already in control of about 80 settlements, in compliance with international humanitarian law.

Now, in August, we need to strengthen certain legal positions of our state.
First. We must clearly guarantee at the legislative level that our warriors, who participate, for example, in the Kursk operation and will participate in all our other actions on the territory of the aggressor state, will receive absolutely all payments and benefits designated for the frontline.
Second. Every warrior who defends the Ukrainian state, defends our people, defends our independence, deserves recognition and maximum support. In particular, this is true for our warriors – Ukrainian legionnaires – who currently have citizenships of other countries, but not yet of Ukraine. They deserve to be our citizens, citizens of Ukraine, and should receive this honor from the Ukrainian state. It is also fair to extend this to their relatives, the families of our heroes.
The third decision. The issue of trophy weapons won by our warriors in battles must be regulated. We must handle this.
And one more thing worth mentioning now. Traitors who fled to Russia after February 24. Collaborators who work for the war. All criminals who went to serve the Russian state. They should be stripped of all titles and awards in Ukraine, and this should be done substantively – so that the decision to revoke their awards is not merely declarative, but genuinely reflects Ukraine's stance on such individuals.
And I ask the Verkhovna Rada to convene shortly to urgently consider these issues.
Now I would like to thank all our SSU warriors, as well as the warriors of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine and all the structures involved. Thank you for the accurate, skillful and effective strikes on Russian airfields. Our Ukrainian drones work exactly as they should. But there are things that cannot be done with drones alone. Unfortunately. We need other weapons – missile weapons.
And we continue working with our partners on long-range decisions for Ukraine – because these are forward-looking decisions for our victory. It has to be done. The bolder our partners' decisions are, the less Putin will be able to do. And today I held a meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, our Office, the National Security and Defense Council. We have prepared an algorithm for our actions to achieve strong decisions by our partners. Victorious decisions.
I thank everyone who is helping Ukraine! Glory to all those who are fighting for our independence!
Glory to Ukraine!
❗️ Ukraine expects to receive approximately $10.5 billion from international partners by the end of the year, — Roksolana Pidlasa, the Chair of the Budget Committee.
If we receive everything our partners promised us, we will close the year without any problems in terms of non-military expenditures.
We expect $3.95 billion from the United States of America by the end of the year, but again, this is subject to the implementation of specific reforms.
We are expecting two tranches from the International Monetary Fund totalling $2.2 billion, which should come after the fifth and sixth reviews of the programme with the IMF.
And 4 billion euros (approximately $4.4 billion) from the European Union.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 The US congressmen and senators support Ukraine's request to lift restrictions on the use of long-range weapons.
This was announced by Yehor Chernev, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defence and Intelligence, Head of Ukraine's Permanent Delegation to the NATO PA.
At the same time, the final decision is made not in Congress, but in the White House, which can be influenced by congressmen.
The recent visit to Ukraine by U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham (Republican Party) and Richard Blumenthal (Democratic Party) is another clear confirmation of the bipartisan support for Ukraine in the United States.

🇺🇦🇺🇸 I am pleased to welcome to the Ukrainian Parliament the delegation of the American think tank RAND headed by President Jason Matheny.
I stressed the importance of the United States of America's comprehensive support for Ukraine — political, financial, defence and humanitarian.
In this context, I assured that transparent use of American funds is our priority. The Ukrainian Parliament has set up separate controlling bodies, including the PIC.
I briefed RAND representatives on the security situation and defence needs. These include strengthening air defence to save Ukrainian lives and protect Ukrainian cities. It also means lifting restrictions on the use of weapons provided by our partners, as it is difficult to defend ourselves with our hands tied.

We see how Russia really moves in the times of Putin: 24 years ago, there was the Kursk disaster – the symbolic beginning of his rule; and now we can see what the end for him is. And it is also Kursk. The disaster of his war.
This always happens to those who despise people and any rules. Russia brought war to others, and now it is coming home. Ukraine has always wished only for peace, and we will definitely ensure peace.
I thank everyone who helps! Glory to all those who fight, who work for Ukraine!
Glory to Ukraine!
🇺🇦🇺🇸 I met with US Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal.
This was an important conversation in the context of developing parliamentary dialogue between Ukraine and the United States. I stressed that I highly appreciate the bipartisan and bicameral support of the US Congress.
I thanked the United States for the unprecedented assistance provided to Ukraine during the full-scale armed aggression of the russian federation. I also expressed gratitude to the entire U.S. Congress for the powerful aid package for Ukraine approved in April.
The main focus was on the security situation and defence needs of Ukraine. I informed about the consequences of russian terror and the daily shelling of Ukrainian cities. We discussed the needs of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine. These include additional air defence equipment.

❗️ I continue to draw the attention of the international community and the media to the destruction of Ukrainian heritage in the occupied territories by russia, said Yevheniia Kravchuk, the Deputy Chair of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
According to her, russia has recently completed the cynical transformation of Chersonese into a "historical and archaeological park", completely destroying its original appearance and unique style.
Yevheniia Kravchuk reminded that Ukraine has appealed to the UN to protect Tauric Chersonese, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
