🇺🇦 🇱🇻 The President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs personally visited and congratulated the Ukrainian secondary school in Riga on the start of the school year.
Thank you, Mr President, for an important, humane and friendly gesture of support for Ukrainian children during the war.
It is a wonderful educational institution with excellent teachers.
Children from the Ukrainian community in Latvia study here, as well as children who were forced to leave Ukraine to escape the full-scale russian invasion.
💛The children do not lose their Ukrainian identity and maintain a connection with their homeland through education.
We continue to thank our Latvian friends for supporting this school for so many years and paying attention to the education of Ukrainian children!
👏 Congratulations to the Riga Ukrainian School on the new school year! Success and interesting knowledge to the students, inspiration to the teachers!

I received preliminary reports on the Russian strike in Poltava. According to available information, two ballistic missiles hit the area. They targeted an educational institution and a nearby hospital, partially destroying one of the telecommunications institute's buildings.
People were trapped under the rubble. Many people were rescued, but more than 180 were injured. Unfortunately, there are many casualties. As of now, we know that 41 people were killed. My deepest condolences to all of their relatives and loved ones.
I ordered a full and prompt investigation into all of the circumstances of what happened. All necessary services are involved in the rescue operation. I am grateful to everyone who has been helping and saving lives from the very first moments following the strike.
The Russian scum will surely pay for this strike. We continue to urge everyone in the world who has the power to stop this terror: Ukraine needs air defense systems and missiles now, not sitting in storage. Long-range strikes that can protect us from Russian terror are needed now, not later. Every day of delay, unfortunately, means more lost lives.
Eternal memory to all those whose lives were taken by Russia.

We meet the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new school year with air raid alerts and shelling by russia.
🇺🇦⚓️ Today I am in Odesa. Once again, I support the Vice Admiral Bezkorovainyi Naval Lyceum. It is the only one in Ukraine, founded 15 years ago in our Sevastopol. It was relocated to Odesa in 2014.
Today, together with the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy Oleksii Neizhpapa and the Head of the Odesa Regional Military Academy Oleh Kiper, we opened new modules — a canteen and a food warehouse. This means that the lyceum students' nutrition should improve significantly.
Good luck with your studies and a speedy victory in the war!

Today, during our negotiations with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, we talked about exactly that – about strengthening air defense, about new air defense systems, and about missiles for them. About F-16s for Ukraine. And about all the necessary weapons for our defense against the Russian occupier. Shells for warriors, equipment. And the protection of life throughout the country, including the protection of our energy sector.
Today we have a new aid package from the Netherlands – thank you for that.
We have also talked about the Netherlands becoming a patron of Zaporizhzhia – this is infrastructure, this is protection of normal life, this is humanitarian issues. This is something that will definitely help Ukraine. And we appreciate all the support of the people of the Netherlands, Prime Minister Schoof personally, and all the political and public figures from the Netherlands.
And of course, my greatest appreciation goes to all our people, to everyone who protects our Ukraine, our Zaporizhzhia, all our cities and communities. Everyone who fights for Ukraine, works here in our state, helps us – thank you! I am proud of our people; I am proud of Ukraine!

🏫🔔Today, many educational institutions were able to start classes thanks to the tireless struggle of our Defenders.
❗️As a result of the russian aggression, 3798 educational institutions were affected by bombing and shelling. 365 of them were completely destroyed.
The aggressor country deliberately targets educational institutions: kindergartens, schools, universities. Despite the fact that it knows that children may be there.
And while students around the world are getting an education, Ukrainian children are forced to hear the sound of air raid alerts and missiles, to study in shelters, remotely. Also, on the day when students go to school and students go to educational institutions, the enemy massively attacked Ukraine.
🗣How long will the world turn a blind eye to this? How much longer will the criminal russian terror violate children's right to education? We must stop the enemy!

The terrorist state must feel what war is. We are working to ensure that as many Russian military facilities, logistics hubs, and critical components of their war economy as possible fall within the reach of our weapons.
Currently, our drones are making this possible, and I thank everyone in Ukraine who is involved in developing and producing drones, as well as those working on our missile program. I also extend my gratitude to our state’s foreign policy team, who are persuading our partners that long-range capabilities are key to ending this war.
With our drones and missiles, we can accomplish part of the missions. But true peace – a real end to this war – is a complex task. To force Russia into peace, to move them from deceitful rhetoric about negotiations to taking steps to end the war, to clear our land of occupation and occupiers, we need effective tools.
🥉Danylo Semenykhin won a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke in the SB5 class at the 2024 Paralympics, showing extraordinary strength and dedication to his sport.

🇺🇦🇭🇺 On the eve of the Knowledge Day, Education Committee member Yuliia Hryshyna took part in an important event — the first state Ukrainian-Hungarian primary school and gymnasium started working in Budapest.
The opening of this school is the result of the work of many people.
Yuliia Hryshyna, as Co-Chair of the Ukrainian-Hungarian Parliamentary Friendship Group, presented letters of thanks to Liliana Grexa and Olena Beskorovaina and Serhii Beskorovainyi, the founders of the school, for the work they have done.
This is an unprecedented event for Ukraine. Hungary has actually become the second country to open a public Ukrainian-Hungarian school on its territory since russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The first such school, a Ukrainian-Estonian school, was opened in Estonia in 2023,

🇪🇺 The Committee on Economic Development recommends the adoption of the European integration law introducing the preventive restructuring procedure (Draft Law No. 10143).
The relevant draft law supplements the Bankruptcy Code of Ukraine with a new Book Three, Preventive Restructuring, which regulates the system of legal measures aimed at preventing or averting debtor insolvency.
Thus, economically active companies facing financial difficulties will be able to access an effective framework for preventive restructuring that will enable them to continue their business activities.

During the conference "European Integration in Time of War: Challenges for Freedom of Speech and the Role of Public Broadcasting", I had the opportunity to share my thoughts on the future of Ukrainian documentary filmmaking and its role in shaping national identity.
🇺🇦 I believe that today, more than ever, it is important to support Public Broadcasting as an integral part of Ukrainian democracy.
This applies to the creation of high-quality relevant content, especially documentaries.
After all, this genre not only records the events of today, but also helps to rethink the processes of gaining independence and our path to the European community.
There is a great demand in society for the truth, for a deep understanding of our history, culture and modernity.

❗️ The fact that putin's visit to Mongolia is a carefully planned provocation to undermine the authority of the ICC and to boldly demonstrate that there are countries that are willing to disregard their international obligations to execute an arrest warrant to please the kremlin's terrorist regime is evidenced by the fact that the official version of war criminal putin's visit to Mongolia is to "celebrate" the 85th anniversary of the fighting on the Khalkhin Gol River.
This was reported by the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and Interparliamentary Cooperation.
The real purpose of the visit is different — to force Mongolia to create a dangerous precedent for non-compliance with the obligation to execute the warrant for the arrest of war criminal putin,
