🇺🇦🇬🇧 I am pleased to welcome the representative delegation of the ruling party of the United Kingdom to Ukraine.
I noted the value of the UK's continued support for Ukraine and all the comprehensive assistance provided by the UK.
During the conversation, we focused mainly on the security situation. The main focus was on Ukraine's defence needs.
The first priority is air defence systems and missiles. Additional systems will help protect the lives of civilians.
The second important priority for us is the ability to use the weapons provided to us in full. Defence cannot be conducted with our hands tied.
It remains critical for us that our Western partners lift restrictions on Ukraine's use of allied weapons to strike legitimate military targets in russia.
I paid special attention to increasing sanctions pressure on russia. The main task is to make it impossible for russia to circumvent the restrictions imposed.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk
Took part in the annual summit of the Yalta European Strategy
A professional discussion focused on Ukraine's domestic political life, the progress of reforms, the situation in the energy sector, as well as issues of financial and social stability.
We talked about the laws adopted to strengthen Ukraine both domestically and on its path to integration into the EU and NATO.
I emphasised that despite all the challenges of a full-scale war, the Ukrainian Parliament has been working continuously since the beginning of the russian aggression.
The Ukrainian Parliament has adopted complex laws that have enabled our country to obtain the status of a candidate for EU membership.
The Ukrainian Parliament has adopted and is adopting laws necessary to strengthen our defence capabilities.
There are many challenges, many tasks.
And the main one is to do everything to bring our Victory closer. 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

First of all – our gratitude to our warriors, combat units, which replenish the exchange fund for our state. In different directions. Also, to our special services, which counteract saboteurs and collaborators. Thanks to this work, representatives of Ukraine and our exchange team are able to free our people from Russian captivity.
Today there was another exchange. Another 49 Ukrainians are back home. Among them are both military personnel and civilians. Warriors of the Armed Forces, our border guards, the National Guard, in particular, the defenders of Azovstal, and two police officers.
Among our civilians is Leniye Umerova, a young woman who was captured by the Russians in Crimea while on her way to visit her sick father. The Hero of Ukraine, military medic Viktor Ivchuk, was also returned.
I thank our entire team engaged in the exchanges. All those who are involved and whose work ensures all this: the Armed Forces, the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Head of the Office, the Ombudsman. Thank you!
On the occasion of the International Day of Democracy, the results of the Analytical Review of the Interaction of Parliaments of 10 Countries with Children and Youth and the Implementation of Parliamentary Education were presented.
Democracy, parliamentarism, and democracy are very important values for Ukrainians and for me personally. However, one is not born with them. They are learnt and passed on to the next generations through education and enlightenment.
In 2019, the Educational Centre of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was established and has been operating in the Ukrainian Parliament. With the support of international partners, it has been successfully implementing the world's best practices in parliamentary education.
Over 5 years, 800 events have been held, reaching 400,000 participants. Together with children, we have launched picture diplomacy. We actively work in the regions in an on-site format. We held record-breaking online parliamentary lessons.
The Deputy Speaker Olena Kondratiuk
🇺🇦🇫🇷 I welcome to the Ukrainian Parliament the Chairman of the parliamentary group "Together for the Republic", member of the Committee on Culture and Education of the National Assembly of the French Republic, former Prime Minister of France Gabriel Attal and the delegation he leads.

I noted the role of the French parliament, which has adopted seven important resolutions in support of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale russian invasion.
We discussed the security situation. I noted the value of the defence assistance provided to us.
We emphasised the importance of allowing Ukraine to strike military targets in russia with allied weapons.
The topics of Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration and support for Ukrainian international initiatives were also raised.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk

▫️children's safety in times of war;

▫️children's safety at school;
▫️children's safety in cyberspace;
▫️safe environment for children.
I am grateful to the First Lady of Ukraine for her special attention to the issue of child protection and raising this topic at the highest global level. The safety of children in time of war is a global responsibility that requires the world's attention, —

The participants discussed the issue of multiple citizenship in the context of the policy of returning Ukrainians, coordination of efforts to advocate for Ukraine, and countering russian disinformation in the world.

During his speech, he also drew the attention of Members of Parliament to the issue of Ukrainian children abroad being involved in Ukrainian education.

Today, there was a report from Commander-in-Chief Syrskyi. As every day, it was about each part of the front, with special reference to Pokrovsk, Toretsk, and the Kurakhove direction. Separate mention was made of the operation in the Kursk region. It is very important that absolutely all the objectives set for our Kursk operation are being realized. For this, I thank every soldier, every sergeant and every officer involved. As of now, this operation continues to be the largest replenishment of the exchange fund from one direction.
We are preparing important meetings with our partners. Something that can and should strengthen our positions – not only of Ukraine, but of all of us in Europe, of all of us in the world who want a real end to this war and a real joint work on ensuring that security never collapses again. This week, next week, and all of September must be productive for all of us. Primarily, this is about air defense, our capabilities on the front and in reconstruction. We are preparing substantial things.

Together with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic, Markéta Pekarová Adamová, we visited the Lviv Regional Perinatal Centre and Yurii Lypa Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed Persons.
These medical institutions received assistance from the Czech Republic totalling 800,000 euros.
In particular, a full-fledged delivery room and intensive care unit were equipped in the perinatal centre's shelter.
Markéta Pekarová Adamová noted that it is important for the Czech Republic to help Ukraine in such difficult times.
Over the past 24 hours, 23 babies have been born at the perinatal centre. 12 of them were born in a shelter — just when the doctors moved the women in shelter because a massive missile attack on Lviv had begun!

‼️ The President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Gerry Connolly expresses support for Ukraine after russian missile attack on Poltava
russia's heinous attack on an educational facility & a hospital in Poltava using ballistic missiles is yet another tragic reminder that Ukraine needs more air defense and other critical military equipment now – not in weeks or months. We must pass this critical test of collective democratic resilience against such tyranny and brutality. My thoughts and prayers are with the loved ones of the dozens of victims,
🇺🇦🇺🇸 I met with a delegation of members of the US Congress.
Once again, I stressed that Ukraine highly appreciates the bipartisan and bicameral support of the Congress.
I thanked the United States for the unprecedented, comprehensive and sustained assistance provided to Ukraine.
In recent weeks, russia has significantly intensified its terror. So I outlined Ukraine's urgent needs, first of all, additional air defence systems.
It is critically important for us to be able to strike military targets in russia with American weapons.
We also raised the issue of supplying additional F-16 aircraft, the need to reduce training time and increase the number of training places for Ukrainian pilots and engineers.
Special attention was paid to Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration.
Ukraine's membership in the Alliance is a guarantee of security for Ukraine and the whole of Europe for many decades to come, I stressed.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk
I talked to the participants of the Forum for Public Leaders: “United for Victory”.
One of the demands of society is local leadership. This is necessary, in particular on the European integration path, to improve living conditions and develop certain areas.
Public activity is born, first of all, out of one's own needs, as well as with the aim of changing things in society that one does not like.
Democracy in the country has come a long way thanks to the great actions of the public and the maturation of society.
It's great that we have some unchanging things, our national trait, — we look for the truth in discussions and always come to results.
So, we will continue to emphasise this.
I thank the participants for choosing to be where they are. And to the organisers for this important systemic event.

I congratulated the graduates of the Reintegration Management Programme and, together with Olha Kurishko, the Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea, presented them with diplomas certifying successful completion of the programme.
This is an important programme. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are doing everything possible to increase the number of de-occupied territories so that specialists can come there to build governance based on the principles of Good Governance.
During this time, we have come closer to one of the strategic goals of our country — Ukraine's accession to the EU — and started the negotiation process. One of its rounds will focus on public governance reform. We have made this commitment and must work to improve in this area — to demonstrate a high level of administration.
There are many tasks, but together we will accomplish them all! ✊🏻
Oleksandr Korniienko, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine

We will always remember the heroism and deeds of the defenders who gave their lives in the fight for Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Leadership Academy is a community for life!
I congratulated this year's ULA students during the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Programme.
I believe that the 10th anniversary of the Programme is a powerful testimony to its effectiveness, youth involvement, and desire to participate and develop our country.
During this time, we have been through many things, but we have come out of it stronger and with a clear vision for the next 10 years.
Ukraine and society need leaders to win, rebuild and achieve.
I wished the new students to take advantage of all the opportunities during this year of their studies, including communication and creating their own community.
I remember a period of my life that was closely intertwined with the Academy. After lectures, I would leave tired but inspired thanks to the audience.
So, enjoy your journey into the world of knowledge and history called the ULA!
The First Vice-Speaker Oleksandr Korniienko

Good news!
Another 49 Defenders of Ukraine, as well as our civilians, have returned home from russian captivity!
Representatives of the Armed Forces, the National Police, border guards, and sailors. Among them are 15 defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal from the National Guard. The Hero of Ukraine, Colonel of the Medical Service Viktor Ivchuk, who was in charge of the military hospital in Mariupol during the most difficult times, is also returning home. The rest are civilians.
Reportedly, for the first time in a long time, our women have been released from captivity. Among the 23 released are Ukrainian civilians who were illegally deprived of their liberty and subjected to inhumane treatment.

❗️No one will ever recognize the occupation of Crimea and the territory of Crimea as russian.
This was stated by Yehor Chernev, the Deputy Chairman of the National Security, Defence and Intelligence Committee, Head of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to the NATO PA.
According to him, the leaders of the world's leading countries speak about the inviolability of international law.
For example, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have said this, supporting Ukraine's territorial integrity.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has clearly stated that Crimea is the territory of Ukraine and must be returned.
No one will recognize the violation of international law, —
