I feel very disheartened and low when i get to know from some or other of my veterinary friends about current derth in employment oppurtunities and subsequent low pay jobs for someone like us ,who have done everything ranging from getting a rank in premedical to undergoing professional graduation about 6 years which is almost equal to general physicians who are generally paid high.
This is not time to find a mistake with the employment agencies nor students who join for even low pay jobs making the bars go lower nor even our educational institutions.
It is time to understand our potential and gear up for next fleet.
To my reflection,UPSC OR STATE PSC EXAMS ,ANY EXAMS OF PUBLIC SERVICE OR CIVIL SERVICE NATURE LIKE NABARD ETC is a great oppurtunity for us ,given the long descriptive patterns,optional subjects and viva like interview processes in them.
As vets we have this advantage of comprehensive learning methods obtained through our graduation .Do not let this go in vain just by thinking that we are not in par with the students of premier medical colleges ,iits ,iims .
We may take more time than them sometimes ,but we are not less than any stream .
Please understand your potential and start preparing for higher exams.
