#TIL about Viction: STAKING
Staking is safe and simple.

To stake in Viction you must participate in the Viction Masternode election, voting for Masternode Candidates by depositing your tokens in a voting smart-contract and having them locked in the masternode you vote for. Once your VIC is locked, neither you nor the node holders will be able to move them. You can vote for as many candidates as you wish, splitting your VIC.
After unvoting, your VIC are still locked in the smart contract for 96 epochs (approx. 48 hours) before you are able to withdraw. When the lockup period is finished, just withdraw can your VIC will appear again on your wallet.

Masternodes both create and validate new blocks on the blockchain, and for this, they are rewarded 40% of the new VIC generated in the process. The second portion of 50% is shared among those who staked on that specific Masternode (The remaining 10% goes to a special account controlled by the Masternode Foundation). In the end, staking rewards participants in VIC, whether as a Masternode owner or a staker.
