For our TestNet 4 Node we switched to Core because we don't use fees there and Knots is still on 27.1 (not been updated in many months), therefore doesn't feature TestNet 4

Knots is a fork of Core. It's used in Wasabi because Core doesn't (or didn't?) have some crucial API calls that's needed. While Wasabi provides privacy on the network level, the paranoid can sleep better at night if he connects it to Knots because it's easier to verify. Since a full node like Knots or Core has all the transaction data of the entire blockchain on local disk, it provides theoretically perfect network level privacy at wallet state establishment.

If privacy is your priority use the largest one (kruw's.) If you're afraid exchanges wanna mess with you use Ginger one.
To be clear I don't claim the Ginger one isn't private, I just claim I am not confident about privacy with their current volumes. I didn't design Wasabi for low volumes like that, so that's a blindspot for me.
