To join the round, clients were only charged 20 sat/vbyte ("Desired" fee rate). However, there's normally some sats leftover (~500 sats per user or so) that aren't used because they can't be split into even amounts. This gets added to the mining fee too, so the total confirmation priority is 23.5 sat/vbyte.

Another perk for using that setting is that everyone who chose that setting will all join the same round at once as soon as it hits a low enough threshold.

Mining fees are cheap enough to use the "Weeks" time preference setting. You can switch this to "Months" if you want it to idle and wait for the cheapest round.

So, if the round's fee seems slightly faster than it should be, that's a good thing, not a bad thing. A coordinator could choose to collect this tiny amount of sats for themselves if they wanted, but it's more incentive compatible to give users faster confirmation.

Definitely, a bigger round will cause your privacy progress % to increase much more than a smaller round. That's why I want to prioritize the size of rounds instead of the frequency.
