I noticed something unexpected during a CJ to a hww (not coldcard). After adding it to Wasabi, the taproot pubkey value was empty in the wallet json. so i added it there manually, and this was reflected properly in the UI.
the output of the CJ however only went to the taproot address for the hww. nothing to the segwit address.
is this a bug (or could it even be a feature)? what are the privacy and cost implications?
i saw a proposal regarding taproot address recognition in the milestones for 2.08, but it links to coldcard related issues only.
Not sure I understand correctly, but you'd need to use a different wallet (either other recov phrase or add a passphrase) when connecting it to Wasabi and never use it when using ledger live to leak it

The fee adjusts automatically based on the confirmation target (measured in expected number of blocks) I set. But, I can set that confirmation target to a new value if I don't like the results.
Читать полностью…I raised the fee rate since it spiked earlier, so even though this one is high, the next one should drop.

Admitting I did not fully understand everything - could you summarize the insight on privacy impact regarding aggregating/merging cj outputs into a single wallet? also in respect to spending coins from this wallet later on, and completely emptying source/origin wallets which previously were the input to the CJs?
A necessary downside to the increased privacy. IMO better than making ppl overpay on fees.
Читать полностью…Yeah, when fees are higher there is a higher chance to skip a round as well, so it can cause creation of new coinjoins to slow down.
Читать полностью…if you are in a rush and don't care about fees, try setting it to the "hours" time frame. it should work.
Читать полностью…yeah, it's kind of slow, sometimes due to missing participants. but mostly because mining fees are crazy high right now, no?
>150 😳
Yes i add a passphrase wich is generate by the wallet and never use before,it will be safe?
Читать полностью…i see the ledger live send my public keys and addresses to a third party server, if i use my ledger only for recovery phrase on ledger live with add accounts it will be safe to use as new(not with recovery phrase)?

It's beginning.
No worries! So 10565 describes the easiest ways to guess which inputs belong to outputs in a coinjoin. You can never get an exact match and you can't rule out all the other possible combinations, but this specific scenario can get a *close* match:
1. Deposit one UTXO
2. Coinjoin one time
3. Spend the entire wallet balance
When you have a specific amount entering a coinjoin and outputs that are merged from that same coinjoin that spend the ~same amount, then it's going to be the first thing someone guesses. So, "safety coinjoins" were implemented in 2.0.6 that will always remixes all outputs of the first deposit you do so this mistake can't happen.
just not enough participants for such a small timeframe (yet). correct me if I'm wrong.
Читать полностью…i like the 50 setting and would rather see it increased than lowered if possible ;) looks like it's not feasible (yet)
