Fees are extremely high right now. Still above 300. That's more than 10x than they were yesterday.

Maybe it's related to the crackdown on CEXs doing business in the greatest country of the world. First deadline concerning international customers was June 8th, now seemingly extended to June 25th.
I guess the upside is miners are made whole again, and even if for only a few weeks.
Maybe it was an emergency because one of the private keys in the multisig was leaked?

Also, it looks like I've had 24/24 coinjoin attempts succeed with 50+ inputs over the past day.

I'm thinking of running it on the server in the future.
Running a coordinator doesn't require having a wallet. Still, you can use a "watch only" wallet on BTCPay Server that only has public keys, not private keys.

I think the possibility of the international police or the US seizing the server is close to 0%.
Not much in the news about that specifically. But as my grandfather always used to say: "the network does not lie" ;)
Читать полностью…Very unlikely... Apparently it's not first time they've been front running their own consolidations like this (although scale was unprecedented today).
It's bizzare how embarassingly incompetent exchanges can get.
I've probably never seen such incompetent consolidation ever in my life. Burning millions in fees for nothing.. Many inputs are years old and could have been swept at 10-100x less.. (as if using 2-3sig p2sh for customer deposits alone was not embarassing enough). Someone at okx prob getting fired (this looks like his revenge against the company) or will get fired as a result of this.. But at least it's a relief to see blocks not filled by chinese rune spam for sure.
Читать полностью…using a Russian server would make it easier for the Russian government to mess with Wasabi, and Russia has very restrictive laws on cryptocurrency:

maybe not russia, but whats about dubai?
US has little influence there, and tech firms get a lot of help
But it's not clear if user set password of wasabi wallet, they can access to your asset only with wallet file while they dont know password.
@Kruwed . What's your opinion?
If your VPS provider agrees to cooperate, they can extract your wallet files from the VPS.
