You can also swap to liquid do confidential tx and back (partially, not exact same amount) to get a fresh address not linkable to the CJ. Preferable is to use only services that are privacy friendly.

Not anymore. The only case when it does is if there's a whale with a much larger input than the rest of the coinjoin round. In that case, the whale has to continue remixing. It's roughly steady throughout the day, but if you want to only participate in the absolute biggest rounds, try setting your "Coinjoin Time Preference" setting to something slower than hours (like days/weeks/months). The lowest fee rounds have the most participants, while higher fee rounds are skipped more often.
