One thing that came to mind if the server is down in the future and one needs to make an urgent tx one can just switch to Ginger Wallet and use that. No need for Electrum seed recovery and such cumbersome stuff.

Did you fully restart the app after making the edit? By default, Wasabi runs in the background when you click the "X" button, so you have to kill it from your system tray.

Type 'config' in the search bar at the top, edit the "MainNetBackendURI" line, save the file, then fully restart your client:

The backend server is currently down, sorry. The maintainers are working on reviving it, but if you need to use your wallet immediately then you can edit the backend URI in the advanced settings.

This is the first time it happened. Well, sort of. When there was a company behind Wasabi, these kind of things were taken care of in the matter of minutes, at worse hours. Now that it took them a day. Yep funds are safu, even in the case if the backend goes down forever.

Yes, we(GingerWallet) have a WalletWasabi basedon backend , but im not sure that still compatible with WasabiWallet but i think it could work because wallets are still handled from WalletWasabi folder

Check your config file from the search bar after you reloaded, on the 'MainNetBackendUri" line, does it show opencoordinator or wasabi?
