Okay. This is the scenario I was aking..being the recipient means you can always cpfp, right?
Читать полностью…On the other end, if you send it to me but TX 1 creates change, UTXO B. Then UTXO B is an output of TX 1, but you control the keys to spend it! So you can spend it with a high fee -> CPFP
Читать полностью…Why is a change coin required for CPFP? Isn't one supposed to make the child transaction based only on the parent utxo? For instance, if i am receiving some btc from an external wallet whose tx fee is too low, do you mean I cannot use CPFP if the sender did not have a change address?
Читать полностью…Just use wassabeed or build from source by doing dotnet run in the folder WalletWasabi.Daemon. You can then interact through the RPC https://docs.wasabiwallet.io/using-wasabi/RPC.html

It seems like that could work, but I don't think there was an option to specify the datadir during the installation.

Читать полностью…What does mean “mining fee rate was too high” ? why doesn't coinjoin happen further
Читать полностью…Regarding the killing fee article, Ginger Wallet client checks the exemption requirement for remixes and leaves the coinjoin if something is not right. Both clients can be considered safe, but as mentioned Wasabi can successfully use the Ginger coordinator only on free coinjoin events.
Читать полностью…Though they are relatively small compared to the full blockchain, tne necessary blocks and filters are still a 2GB+ space if I remember correctly.
Читать полностью…It is not the first fork (and hopefully won't be the last) of Wasabi BTW. Some other projects (mostly dead now I believe) ported Wasabi's to altcoins
Читать полностью…However, you can always RBF your transaction, which means spending UTXO A again at a higher fee rate, invalidating TX 1. You need a wallet that handles this, such as wasabi wallet 2
Читать полностью…You have UTXO A, you send it to me in TX 1, no change. You want to CPFP, for that you have to send an output of TX 1.... But you don't own the keys for spending an output of TX 1, as you sent it to me. I control all the outputs of this TX. So I can CPFP it, but you can't

Correct, there isn't. You need to specify it during start up https://docs.wasabiwallet.io/using-wasabi/StartupParameters.html#non-config-file-configurations
Читать полностью…Not sure what you mean. You can just copy the file there. Or specify the datadir if you want to run from the ssd
Читать полностью…This message is appearing due to your 'Max Coinjoin Mining Fee Rate' setting. Currently, transactions need a fee rate of about ~50 sat/vbyte to get into the next block, so if you set a number lower than that in your settings, your client will skip rounds until one is created with a low enough fee:

Checked, the IndexStore is 2500MB alone, the extra full blocks are wallet dependent. These sizes are constantly increasing.
Читать полностью…Both Ginger and Wasabi use a relatively huge amount of storage space and cpu power as there is no server that knows your public keys and needs to keep and maintain at least the so called filters from the blockchain.
Читать полностью…Like all forks, they have the same base but a slightly different direction.
The fundamental change is that they are a for-profit company, with the integration of their own coordinator, which is not compatible with Wasabi because they usually charge a fee for users to join their rounds, which is not allowed by Wasabi (you can read the reason here: https://blog.wasabiwallet.io/killing-coordination-fee/. Their coordinator also rejects coins that have a low score according to chain analysis companies. They also have some optimizations to improve coinjoins in a low liquidity environment, as the integration of the coinjoin engine in Wasabi has been thought for higher liquidity than what they have.
Wasabi is on the other hand a completely FOSS software, that aims at being as open and resilient as possible and safe.
I'd say they're a niche product. They publish here as this is a community group, and they are part of the community and Wasabi's ecosystem.
In general both wallets benefit the one to the other. For example, I am currently implementing translations in Wasabi now that they made 95% of the job for me.
