Privacy in bitcoin is not perfect but pretty good because transactions don't have identities attached. However, KYCed services/platforms and especially centralized exchanges do attach those identities then, exchanges are what ruins bitcoin privacy. Moreover, exchanges not only want to know your identity but also want to track you back and forth. They don't like you attempts to protect your privacy and it is not surprising if they block your transactions. In the end we all will need to decide what we really want, privacy or convenience.
