I'm trying to figure out what happens next after this war.
The move to CIPS will strengthen demand for Yuan. This is basically like like Strong Dollar policy that Reagan did but for China. China doesn't actually want that. They want you to keep shipping jobs there so they MAY need to devalue their currency with quantitative easing.
This is another blow against the Petrodollar which is WHY all Russian energy was exempted from the sanctions. We are trying to sanction them while keeping them using dollars. That's very difficult. May lead to a Petro-Yuan alternative.
Russian interest rates will be sky high (20+%?) to curtail inflation, but in the long run they aren't gonna run out of food and gas.
Can't say the same for Europe which is gonna be hard up for gas, and the global South which is gonna be fugged for food.
This is a bad year for crops for almost everyone but Russia and Ukraine.
Americans can expect higher food costs and even MORE inflation.
The sooner this war ends the better for all the world. Ukraine's leaders are not trying to win. That's impossible. They just want the victory to cost Russia. It mainly hurts normies though.
