BREAKING: Top DHS and ICE leaders say they uncovered the Biden administration was manipulating and misleading the public with their ICE arrest data. Officials say they were "cooking the books", and tens of thousands of arrests were being recorded as arrests, when in fact they were being released into the community because of catch and release policies.
- In all fiscal year 2024, ICE made 33,242 at large arrests (meaning community settings as opposed to jail or border checkpoint). Under Trump's 50 days in office, ICE made 32,809 at large arrests.
-Officials say the difference between these recent arrests and those from last year, is they are actually taking enforcement actions against each and every illegal alien arrested.
Of the illegal aliens arrests:
14,111 convicted criminals
9,980 pending criminal chargers
8,718 immigration violaters.
-Officials could not say how many of those arrested have been deported and said they are working on getting those numbers. They are 47,600 illegal aliens being held at detention centers and they are maxed out and at capacity. Officials say working with DOD constantly to expand and have enough space to keep illegal aliens in custody.
