Former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani disbarred following criminal indictments
Embattled former Mayor Rudy Giuliani – a former prosecutor known for his work in taking down the mob in the Big Apple – can no longer practice law in New York, an appeals court ruled Tuesday.
“Rudolph William Giuliani, is disbarred from the practice of law, effective immediately, and until the further order of this Court, and his name stricken from the roll of attorneys and counselors-at-law in the State of New York,” the First Department appeals court wrote in a decision released Tuesday.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said Tuesday that the U.S. will soon announce an additional $2.3 billion in security assistance for Ukraine, to include anti-tank weapons, interceptors and munitions for Patriot and other air defense systems.
The announcement came as Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov met with Austin at the Pentagon. And it marks a strong response to pleas from Kyiv for help in battling Russian forces in the Donetsk region.

In May 2022, after working at CBS for almost seven years, the General Manager Joel Vilmanay informed him that he would be terminated within six months and that CBS was currently looking for his replacement. AFL’s client asked the Vice President News Director of CBS, Mike Dello Stritto, about his termination and was told: “It’s not about the ratings.”

Biden is done. Bet on it. Too many prominent Democrats have suggested he’s brain damaged. They can’t walk that back. They have to remove him, and they will. The only question is when. If they’re smart, they’ll do it immediately. If Kamala’s going to be the nominee, she might as well be the president first. That leaves the question of Trump, and his sentencing on July 11. Biden’s collapse makes this a much more perilous moment than it was. At this point Trump is not just the Republican candidate, but effectively the presumptive president. If you’re going to put him in jail, it had better be for a very serious crime that everyone agrees he committed. Otherwise you risk destroying the system completely and forever. We’re in legitimate danger. Democrats need to pull back.

Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki will appear before the House Foreign Affairs Committee for a transcribed interview about the Biden administration’s pullout from Afghanistan in August 2021, a spokesperson for the Republican Majority of the committee confirmed to The Hill.
Psaki, who now hosts an MSNBC show, is expected to sit for the interview on July 26. She volunteered to speak to the committee after receiving approval from the White House.

The Manhattan district attorney’s office said Tuesday it would not oppose former President Donald Trump’s request to file a motion arguing that his conviction should be tossed, a move that will almost certainly delay Trump’s sentencing, which is currently set for July 11.
“Although we believe defendant's arguments to be without merit, we do not oppose his request for leave to file and his putative request to adjourn sentencing pending determination of his motion,” assistant district attorney Josh Steinglass wrote in a letter to Judge Juan Merchan.

The U.S. government has awarded $176 million to Moderna (MRNA.O), opens new tab to advance development of its bird flu vaccine, the company said on Tuesday, as concerns rise over a multi-state outbreak of H5N1 virus in dairy cows and infections of three dairy workers since March.
Shares of the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company rose more than 2% to $118.32 in early trade.
The funds from the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority will be used to complete late-stage development and testing of a pre-pandemic mRNA-based vaccine against H5N1 avian influenza, the company said in a statement.

The Trump campaign is demanding an apology from the White House and President Biden's campaign for dismissing videos of Biden's public gaffes and miscues as "cheap fakes" and "misinformation" promoted by conservatives.
"It’s only been a week since our fantastic team @TrumpWarRoom & @RNCResearch were wrongly accused of editing ‘cheap fakes’ to make Biden look bad," Trump campaign national press secretary Karoline Leavitt posted on X Friday. Trump attorney Will Scharf told CNN Monday night that some acts alleged in the former president’s federal election subversion indictment do constitute private conduct but the effort to put forth slates of alternate electors in 2020 from key battleground states is not one of them.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s security service said Monday, it foiled a coup that would have “played into Russia’s hands” as his Ukrainian forces battled their Russian counterparts in the east of the country.
News of the plot emerged ahead of the visit of one of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s only European allies, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, to Kyiv on Tuesday for talks with Zelenskyy.
Referencing the presidency in a news conference after meeting with Zelenskyy, Orbán said he chose Kyiv for his first visit “because peace is an important question” and the war was impacting European security, according to the translation of his comments posted to the Ukrainian president's official Telegram account.
He also vowed to resolve “all previous disputes” with Ukraine, and “focus on the future.”

Democratic New York Rep. Joe Morelle announced Monday that he will file a constitutional amendment that will virtually invalidate the Supreme Court's recent ruling on presidential immunity.
“I will introduce a constitutional amendment to reverse SCOTUS’ harmful decision and ensure that no president is above the law," Morelle wrote on X. "This amendment will do what SCOTUS failed to do—prioritize our democracy."
Morelle's constitutional amendment is one of the only ways to challenge the Supreme Court's decision, because the court is the final arbiter of the law. Rulings can be also altered by a new court ruling.
