Democrat-friendly lawyer licensing boards are targeting two Republican attorneys general in an election year under the pretext of “grievances” filed by political opponents. The years-long government litigation against Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen has racked up six-figure legal bills for taxpayers while punishing these elected officials for public speech on behalf of their voters’ priorities.
These two proceedings are among the most lengthy in a massive lawfare campaign to deprive right-leaning Americans of competent legal defense, bankrupt them with legal liabilities, and sandbag effective officials, many of which are lawyers. In another prolonged case, a faction of Texas Republicans attempted to defenestrate Attorney General Ken Paxton for fighting Big Tech and Big Pharma.

NEW: Elon Musk gave nearly $75 million to the political action committee he created to campaign for Donald Trump, marking his latest contribution in support of the former president in the final stretch of the campaign.
America PAC has emerged as a significant player in Trump’s reelection bid, with the committee launching this spring with early support from wealthy donors, including former Tesla director Antonio Gracias, Palantir co-founder and Austin-based tech investor Joe Lonsdale, and Sequoia Capital investor Shaun Maguire.
The super PAC is focused on get-out-the-vote operations in swing states, including Pennsylvania, where it is planning a canvasser hiring surge before Election Day, The Washington Post previously reported.
Musk’s contribution is part of a larger wave of fundraising hauls reported on Tuesday by several PACs, congressional campaigns and some presidential committees.

The former president decided to break up the town hall after multiple people suffered medical emergencies, at one point declaring 'let's listen to music' before playing 40 minutes of tunes.
The songs played for the audience included Pavarotti and James Brown. And finally, inevitably, the Village People singing 'Y.M.C.A.'
One artist who didn't enjoy hearing his music was singer Rufus Wainwright, whose cover of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah' from the Shrek 2 soundtrack was featured.
Wainwright confirmed that the publishing company for the estate of Cohen has sent the letter.

A man accusing Sean 'Diddy' Combs of assaulting him when he was just 16 has shared a photograph of the pair together at one of the rapper's famous White Parties.
In a court filing lodged on Monday, the man known only as John Doe accused Diddy of assaulting him at the 1998 party, while celebrities mingled nearby.
'There existed something sinister - a dark underbelly of crime, sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, bribery and prostitution,' the court filing stated.

Now, even short of a move toward weaponization, Iran may be willing to increase use of its potential nuclear status to deter its adversaries. And that appears to be informing Israeli leaders as they consider a response to the barrage of around 180 ballistic missiles.
Several current and former U.S. officials expressed concerns that Israel may seize on an opportunity to attack Iran’s uranium enrichment facilities as retaliation for this week’s missile strike. But whether Israeli bombs could penetrate Iran’s most deeply buried uranium plants is unclear, the officials and weapons experts said. Much of Iran’s highly enriched uranium, they said, is made at its Fordow enrichment plant, which was built inside tunnels dug into a mountain near the city of Qom.

North Korea’s Kim Jong Un warns of nuclear retaliation if country is attacked
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un denounced what he perceived as recent talks of aggression against his country and warned that any encroachment into North Korea’s territory would have dire consequences, including the use of nuclear weapons.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will have to turn over unredacted copies of a White House officials' correspondence with DHS that refers to VP Kamala Harris as the "border czar," if Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., gets his way.
Last month, Rep. Matt Gaetz demanded all correspondence from the DHS that refers to Harris as the "border czar" by Aug. 30. According to documents from a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the Heritage Oversight Project, Ian Sams, a White House official, reportedly intervened to block the release of the documents.
"At the time [Sams] was engaged in a cover-up for her using government resources, he already had lined up his job on her campaign, which he officially started less than two weeks later," Gaetz wrote in a letter to Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Tuesday. "This is shady."
Gaetz is requesting unredacted copies of the correspondence involving Ian Sams related to his oversight request by Oct. 25.

Attorneys for Sean “Diddy” Combs filed a motion Tuesday requesting that his accusers in a federal sex trafficking case be publicly identified so he can prepare a proper defense.
The motion requests that U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian of the Southern District of New York identify Combs' accusers because, his lawyers argue, the torrent of anonymous allegations are damaging his reputation, leading to a “media circus" and depriving him of a fair trial.
Identifying anonymous accusers would allow Combs to adequately prepare for his trial, prevent any surprises and protect him from double jeopardy should he be prosecuted again for the same offense, according to the filing from Combs’ team of lawyers.

Sean “Diddy” Combs allegedly “violently gang raped” a woman to “pay” for a diss she made claiming the rapper was involved with Tupac Shakur’s murder, according to a new lawsuit filed against the embattled music mogul.
Combs is accused of sexual assault and battery, abuse, false imprisonment and kidnapping of a “California resident” back in March 2018, according to the suit filed in Northern California federal court on Tuesday.
