Hezbollah issued the following statement:

The Israeli occupation of additional Syrian territories and the targeting of its military capabilities constitute a serious and strongly condemned aggression. The United Nations Security Council, the international community, and Arab and Islamic nations bear the responsibility to reject and end this aggression and to protect the Syrian people during this critical and pivotal stage of their history.

We have long warned against Israeli ambitions in the region and have resisted them to prevent the occupation from achieving its goals. We have repeatedly stated that the aggression on Gaza is an act of genocide and a prelude to reshaping the region and eliminating the Palestinian cause.

The absolute silence from Arab, Islamic, and international actors regarding this criminal aggression on Syria—enabled by unlimited American support—and the failure to take practical measures to confront this aggression and support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights have emboldened the Zionist entity to escalate and infringe upon the countries of the region.

All necessary steps must be taken to prevent the Israeli entity from achieving its objectives. This blatant aggression against Syria and its people must not be met with silence or passive observation. What is unfolding in Syria today, both politically and socially, and the resulting internal and external political choices, are the exclusive right of the Syrian people, free from external pressures or interference.

We hope Syria stabilizes on the basis of the choices of its people, achieves its revival, and maintains its position in rejecting Israeli occupation while preventing external interventions in its affairs.

We will remain steadfast in supporting Syria and its people in their right to shape their future and confront their enemy, the usurping Israeli entity.
