Wombats are true builders among marsupials! 🦫
These adorable short-legged creatures dig complex systems of burrows with tunnels and "rooms" where the temperature remains constant. 🌡️ Wombats are excellent engineers and their burrows can be up to 30 meters long. 📏 They use their strong claws and powerful limbs to excavate the tough Australian soil. 🇦🇺 Inside the burrow, wombats create cozy sleeping chambers lined with grass. 🛌
Interestingly, wombats have a unique cubic-shaped poop! 💩 This is due to the special muscles in their rectum that compress the feces into cubes. Wombats use their poop to mark their territory. 🗺️
These fascinating marsupials are not only great diggers but also important ecosystem engineers. Their burrows provide shelter for other animals like rabbits, foxes, and even reptiles. 🐇🦊🐍
🦅 Successful osprey hunt for barracuda!
Ospreys spot prey from heights of up to 40 meters and dive with incredible accuracy. They can plunge into the water almost two meters deep, grabbing fish with sharp talons.
This time it's a barracuda! The bird of prey is in luck.
Did you know that rabbits can swim? 🐇 It's true! While they may not be the most avid swimmers, rabbits have the ability to swim when necessary, such as to escape predators or cross bodies of water. 🏊♂️
Rabbits are actually quite good swimmers, thanks to their strong hind legs and webbed feet. 🦵 They use their powerful legs to propel themselves through the water and can even hold their breath for short periods of time. 🌊
So, the next time you see a rabbit near a body of water, don't be surprised if it takes a dip! 🏖️ Just remember, while rabbits can swim, they don't particularly enjoy it and should not be forced to swim for extended periods. 🐰
Mini Miss Charm of Africa - The Dik-dik Antelope is the smallest antelope in the world. Due to its modest size, only 40 cm tall, it is very difficult to spot in the wild.
Instead of a nose, the Dik-dik has a bifurcated trunk ending in a heart-shaped tip. The trunk, of course, is not just for show - it participates in the process of thermoregulation.
The Dik-dik got its name due to the specific sound it makes when it senses danger. "Dik-dik," the antelopes cry out and run away. And they can reach a speed of up to 42 km/h, by the way.
🦓 Zebras live in small groups. To confuse predators, zebras gather in a bunch, and the lion simply cannot see the outline of the animal.
🦁 By the way, lions do not have color vision, and they see only a black and white, incomprehensible substance.
Brown anoles typically grow to be 10-15 cm in length. They have large eyes, strong legs that allow them to climb trees, a wide head, and a bright throat pouch. These lizards mainly eat insects, but they also enjoy eating fruits.
In addition to their native range in the Bahamas and Cuba, the brown anole has been introduced to the United States, Taiwan, and China. They are considered semi-arboreal lizards, living both in trees and on the ground.

The Bohemian waxwing is a stunning bird with a prominent crest, gray-pink body, and bright red and yellow markings on its wings and tail. It's no wonder it's called the Bohemian waxwing in the West.
This beautiful bird is a true ornament of the midlands and northern regions. Large flocks, covering mountain ash trees, are not uncommon even in major cities.
These birds are very gluttonous. They consume huge amounts of berries and fruits, often completely stripping the forest of rowan, viburnum, hawthorn, buckthorn, barberry, rose hips, and juniper.
The waxwings' gluttony is so great that not all the food is digested, and as it returns to the soil, it provides viable growth. Such is the cycle of nature.

These "dexterous limbs" help them clear ice to maintain breathing holes in winter.
