Mini Miss Charm of Africa - The Dik-dik Antelope is the smallest antelope in the world. Due to its modest size, only 40 cm tall, it is very difficult to spot in the wild.
Instead of a nose, the Dik-dik has a bifurcated trunk ending in a heart-shaped tip. The trunk, of course, is not just for show - it participates in the process of thermoregulation.
The Dik-dik got its name due to the specific sound it makes when it senses danger. "Dik-dik," the antelopes cry out and run away. And they can reach a speed of up to 42 km/h, by the way.
