😬What Is a Condoned Credit (CC) and How Does It Work?
As exams for ISDS and Math for Economics are approaching, I’ve noticed many questions about Condoned Credit/ Condones Pass (CC). Let’s explain it clearly:
To successfully complete any lev at WIUT, you need to earn 120 credits (20 from each module). To pass a module, your overall score must be at least 40, with each individual assessment component scoring above 30.
For example:
Exam: 45
Portfolio: 39
In this case, you would pass the module because your overall average is 42( depends on weighting of each assessment component this is just an example), which is above 40, and no component is below 30 (which is fail).
What Happens If You Don’t Score 40?
If your overall module mark is between 30 and 39, you may be eligible for a Condoned Credit (CC).
This means the university recognizes that your performance was close to passing and grants you credit for the module, allowing you to progress without retaking it.
Important Notes:
‼️Condoned Credits apply only:
- At Level 3 (for optional modules only).
- At Level 4 (for all modules).
Starting from Level 5, Condoned Credits are no longer available.
You are allowed a maximum of 2 Condoned Credits in total at Level 4.
For example, if your overall mark for ISDS is between 30 and 39, you would likely receive a Condoned Credit, meaning you won’t need to retake the module.
🤙P.S You can get a Condoned Credit even if one of your assessments is below 30(fail), but the overall module mark is 30+.
AND MOST IMPORTANTLY CC’s WILL BE GIVEN IN THE END OF ACADEMIC YEAR
I hope this makes things clear!
Best,
Ulugbek
