DAO — business without borders 💼
On May 31 at 15:00 UTC, Zurab Shavlidze (Co-Founder of XDAO) will speak at PIVOT TALK — a series of online interviews with Web3 pioneers and digital entrepreneurs
The topic — how DAOs are transforming governance and building the business models of the future 📇
We’ll discuss:
— What is a DAO and how does it work
— Why DAOs outperform traditional corporations
— XDAO’s journey and real-world use cases
— The future of decentralized organizational models
AI in DAOs — hype or the future? 🤖⚙️
In crypto, people are increasingly talking about the merger of two powerful forces — artificial intelligence and decentralization. It used to sound like sci-fi, but today AI is actively being integrated into DAO governance. Not for buzzwords, but to:
— Automate voting
— Optimize investments
— Propose ideas and manage treasuries in real time
Here are some real-world examples:
🔹 Virtuals Protocol
Each member creates their own AI agent (a Virtual) that acts on their behalf — votes, suggests proposals, manages the DAO treasury. The goal is to scale participation and give every user a “personal delegate” that doesn’t sleep and adapts in real time to what’s happening in the DAO and the market
Uses AI models to analyze trends and allocate capital across DeFi strategies. The AI tracks returns, risk levels, and reallocates funds — like an algorithmic hedge fund in DAO form
Builds infrastructure for multi-agent DAOs where different AI agents interact with each other. One might handle treasury management, another ensures security, and a third handles proposal logic. Everything is decentralized and autonomous
A platform for launching decentralized AI agents — intelligent digital beings that can learn, perform tasks, interact with DAOs, and even own a share of the network. The idea is to build a full-on AI economy where bots aren’t just assistants, but full DAO members with tokens, roles, and goals
What’s up with TON? 🪙
Today, TON ranks in the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap. With this growth rate and an ecosystem built on Telegram’s massive user base, its potential is hard to ignore
Right now, a new trend is emerging — gifts and stickers in Telegram. Crypto Twitter is already buzzing, and the TON team has started pulling in global media giants — like Snoop Dogg — who’s been casually promoting this gifting feature. It’s a win for both the blockchain and the messenger, as more people get onboarded into the ecosystem
Poll below — and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments 👇
This is how easy it’ll be to create a DAO in Telegram 🌐🌐
In the new XDAO mini-app, all it takes is 4 simple steps:
1️⃣ Enter the DAO name, full token name, and ticker
2️⃣ Add your partners (using their wallet addresses)
3️⃣ Choose how to distribute shares — equally or proportionally
4️⃣ Set the consensus threshold — for example, 51% for decision-making
And that’s it — your DAO is live. Directly in Telegram on TON, in just a few minutes. No coding, no complicated interface, no hassle. You can also add a description, email, and social links for your DAO right after setup ✅
A DAO that raised $55M to save a man 🕊
Meet AssangeDAO — one of the most powerful examples of how decentralisation can become a political tool
In 2022, the crypto community raised $53M in just 3 days (ultimately $55M) to support Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks, who was facing 175 years in prison in the US for publishing classified documents. This wasn’t a charity or a non-profit — it was a decentralised autonomous organisation, created by anonymous people on the internet to take action 🏃♀
How did it work?
AssangeDAO didn’t just collect donations. They partnered with digital artist Pak and launched an NFT series called Censored. The main piece was a 1/1 NFT called Clock, counting the days since Assange’s imprisonment 🖼⏳
The DAO won the auction and purchased Clock for 16,593 ETH (~$55M). All contributors received the $JUSTICE token — not for profit, but as a sign of participation and a vote in the DAO
Where did the money go?
All funds were sent to the Wau Holland Foundation, which supports Assange’s legal defence and public awareness campaigns 🛡
So what happened?
The DAO helped:
— bring global attention back to Assange’s case
— attract mainstream media and the Web3 audience
— show the power of an anonymous internet community coming together around a shared cause
Just a group of people on the internet who raised $55M in three days to help free someone from prison — and in the end, they actually did. AssangeDAO accomplished its mission 🆓
XDAO for the fam:
PROPOSAL 🗳
If you want to change something in a DAO — you first need to submit a proposal
For example: allocate funds for marketing, add a new member to the organization, or update voting rules. Any meaningful decision in a DAO starts with a proposal ✍
How it works:
A participant creates an idea and submits it as a proposal. All DAO members can view it and vote. If it reaches the required number of votes and meets the quorum threshold — the decision is automatically approved ✔
Note: depending on how the DAO is configured, proposals can be created by any member — or only by those with specific rights (like holding tokens or reputation)
In a DAO, no one can just decide things unilaterally. Not even the project creators. Everything starts with a proposal — and is resolved through community voting 📇
What do you dislike the most about crypto? 👊
Читать полностью…LUCK BOOST ACTIVE 🍀
For the next 3 days, the chances of getting all the best stuff from the DAO chest are boosted by 50%
Now’s the perfect time to test your luck — maybe you’ll hit that 1M drop or x25 boost?
What really happened with The DAO in 2016? 🍒
The DAO was the first-ever venture fund built on smart contracts.
Users deposited ETH and received DAO tokens to vote on where the money should go. In total, it raised $150M from 11,000 people — 15% of all ETH at the time 🔷
Where was the vulnerability?
There was a bug in the splitDAO function — it allowed a user to “split off” and create a new sub-DAO with a portion of the funds. But it didn’t include protection from a reentrancy attack — a type of exploit where a function is called repeatedly before the balance is updated 😳
How the attack worked:
• The attacker triggered splitDAO to create a sub-DAO
• Then called it recursively — dozens of times — before the balance updated
• The contract didn’t check if funds had already been withdrawn, so they just kept coming
Basically, it was like a broken ATM giving out cash over and over until it realized it was empty 🎰
How was it fixed?
The Ethereum community had two options:
A) Leave it be and let the hacker walk away with $60M 😱
B) Roll back the blockchain to before the hack 🔙
They chose option B. This led to a hard fork and two separate chains:
• Ethereum (ETH) — with the rollback and refunds
• Ethereum Classic (ETC) — the original chain, where the code stayed unchanged
What changed after this?
1️⃣ Reentrancy became a well-known attack vector
→ Now one of the first things auditors check
2️⃣ Audit firms like OpenZeppelin and Trail of Bits became industry standards
→ No serious project launches smart contracts without an audit
3️⃣ DAO frameworks like XDAO, Aragon, and DAOstack emerged
→ Nobody writes DAO code from scratch anymore
4️⃣ UX and governance security improved
→ With roles, multisig, spending limits, rage quit, and more
Why XDAO is protected from this kind of scenario
The key difference: audits ✅
The DAO’s biggest flaw was launching without a full audit — and that’s exactly how the bug went unnoticed.
The XDAO framework has been audited by independent security firms like Hacken and Pessimistic. It’s already used in 40+ blockchains and thousands of real DAOs. The smart contracts for XDAO on TON will also be audited soon 🫡
In The DAO, users could interact directly with the contract — triggering dangerous functions intentionally or by mistake. In XDAO, all actions go through a Telegram interface with only safe, pre-approved operations. You can’t call low-level contract functions manually🔓
The DAO had a feature that let anyone split off and take a chunk of the treasury. XDAO doesn’t allow that — all fund movements require voting or multisig, and DAO behavior is set clearly at creation. Sensitive parts are guarded by roles, limits, and validation rules 🖥
It’s gone through audits, dozens of releases, adoption in 40+ chains, and stress-tested by hundreds of thousands of DAOs.
This is robust infrastructure — and exactly what we’re building on for TON ⚙
NFT boom of 2021: how is it connected to DAOs? 🖼
In 2021, the world of crypto and blockchain witnessed a true NFT explosion. Everyone — from big players to independent artists — jumped in, creating not just digital collections, but entire ecosystems around their creations. But how does this NFT surge relate to DAOs? 💥
1️⃣ Revolution in ownership and decentralization
NFTs proved that it’s possible to own unique digital assets and have that ownership verified on-chain. The same applies to DAOs — decentralized organizations that give participants voting power and influence over key decisions. In both cases, verifiable ownership is key — whether it’s art or governance rights
2️⃣ DAOs as infrastructure for NFT projects
Many NFT projects used DAOs to manage collections and make decisions. Artists, holders, and collectors collaborated to decide which NFTs to launch, how to distribute revenue, and what values to uphold in the ecosystem. This turned NFTs from static assets into community-driven systems with shared accountability
3️⃣ From art to investment
NFTs aren’t just for collectors and artists — they also became an investment vehicle. DAOs enabled collective investment into NFTs, allowing members to pool funds into promising collections and take part in their growth
NFTs and DAOs were two of the biggest waves in Web3 — reshaping how we think about ownership, governance, and community. Their intersection unlocked powerful new models for creators, investors, and entire digital societies worldwide 🪣

The DAO making climate data accessible 🌦
dClimate is a project tackling an important but overlooked problem: in many developing countries, there’s a lack of reliable weather and climate data. And without it, people can’t insure their crops, prepare for droughts, or plan their planting season 🌾
In developed countries, this data exists — but it’s often closed off, expensive, and tailored for big corporations. Meanwhile, a farmer in Tanzania might have no way of knowing if it’s going to rain 🤷♀️
dClimate collects climate data from around the world: satellites, IoT sensors, weather stations, historical records. Then it makes that data accessible to everyone — from startups to insurance companies and government programs. It can also be used in smart contracts (e.g. for automatic drought-triggered insurance payouts) 📊
But why do they need a DAO?
To determine which data sources can be trusted, dClimate plans to launch a DAO where:
✅ participants will propose and approve validation scripts
✅ data quality will be evaluated transparently using open metrics
✅ decisions on updating the system and validation rules will be made through community voting
This system is still in development, but the goal is to build a decentralized infrastructure where trust in data doesn’t rely on a central authority — it’s established through an open process and community involvement 💎
XDAO for the fam:
CONSENSUS 🫂
Consensus is the rule that determines whether a DAO decision is approved or not
It answers the question: what percentage of “yes” votes is needed for a proposal to pass? It could be a simple majority (50%+1), two-thirds, or even full unanimity — depending on how critical the decision is and how the DAO is configured 🔛
Don’t confuse it with quorum:
🧡 Quorum checks how many members voted in total
🧡 Consensus checks how many of them voted “yes”
Examples:
51% — for everyday decisions (fast and flexible)
66% — for updating key parameters
100% — when full agreement is required (rare but possible)
This helps balance speed, security, and trust within the DAO ☯️
Update on farming, product launch, and listings 📩
Here’s where we are:
1️⃣ We’re preparing to launch the on-chain product that will enable the airdrop and give real utility to the $DAO token
2️⃣ To make the launch as strong as possible, we’re keeping farming open until the product goes live — to maximize user conversion
3️⃣ The product is currently undergoing mandatory security audits by several top-tier firms. We can’t skip this step or rush auditors — security comes before deadlines
💡 Like you, we’re eager to launch. No delays are intentional — the entire team is operating at full speed
In short:
— the product is being tested
— audits are underway
— farming continues
— TGE and listings will follow after launch
Telegram x xAI: what’s the real play here? 😏
Telegram has announced a partnership with Elon Musk’s xAI to integrate the Grok AI chatbot into the app this summer.
While everyone’s still reposting Durov’s tweets, let’s take a closer look — what’s really behind this move?
📊 Telegram will receive $300M in cash and equity, plus 50% of all Grok subscriptions made through the app. That’s a big win for a platform that’s been searching for a sustainable business model without ads or selling user data.
📈 For Musk, this is also a power move. Grok loses its exclusivity on X (Twitter) but gains access to Telegram’s billion-strong user base. That means more paying users — and more revenue for xAI.
🌐 Telegram is already a social network, fintech app, media platform, and Web3 hub — now it’s becoming an AI hub too. All in one app. No wonder Durov has been calling it a “superapp.”
The deal with xAI brings:
➡️ A new revenue stream for both sides
➡️ Boosted valuation for Telegram
➡️ Deeper integration with TON and Web3
➡️ Stronger positioning as a superapp and Web3 platform
There’s also a geopolitical and ideological layer here: Telegram + xAI is shaping up to be a serious answer to Western Big Tech and Asian superapps 💪
XDAO for the fam:
RAGE QUIT 🏃♂️💨
Rage Quit is a mechanism that allows a DAO member to leave the organization and withdraw their share of the treasury
It’s used in DAOs where members hold “shares” (share tokens) that represent their portion of the collective budget. If you disagree with a decision or simply no longer want to participate, you can initiate a Rage Quit and receive your share of the assets — proportional to your stake 🔙
Think of it as an insurance policy: no one becomes a hostage to decisions they don’t support — you can exit at any time
What’s required to Rage Quit:
1️⃣ Be a member of a DAO with fixed share tokens
2️⃣ Not be actively participating in an ongoing vote (usually, Rage Quit is only allowed before or after a vote)
3️⃣ Submit the command — and your share of the treasury is automatically transferred to you. After that, you’re no longer part of the DAO’s governance
Why it matters:
— Gives new members confidence — you can always leave with what you brought in
— Protects the minority from majority dominance
— Encourages honesty: no one wants to lose contributors (and funds) over toxic decisions
Rage Quit isn’t about emotion — it’s a powerful tool to preserve balance and trust inside a DAO 🤗🤗🤗
THE FINAL SYNDICATE TOURNAMENT 🏅
This is your last chance to prove yourself in the battle for the TOP — there won’t be any more tournaments like this. Gather your team, go full farming mode, and let’s go 💥
Prizes and rules remain unchanged. You can find all the details here: tournament overview. Prize pool & winners breakdown are here
📆 Tournament dates:
May 26, 15:00 UTC – June 1, 15:00 UTC
Who will go down in history as the final champion of the Syndicate battle? 🤔
XDAO for the fam:
DELEGATION 🤝
In a DAO, you don’t always have to vote yourself — you can pass that right to another member. That’s what delegation is all about
If you hold governance tokens, you can choose someone you trust and delegate your voting power to them. They’ll vote on your behalf until you decide to take that power back. The tokens stay in your wallet — only the right to vote is transferred 💬
Why it matters:
➡ Not everyone has the time or desire to dive into every vote
➡ Delegates are often more informed and vote more deliberately
➡ DAO activity increases, and proposals don’t just sit around without enough votes
You decide: vote directly or entrust your voice to someone who’s in the know. Delegation gives you flexibility — without sacrificing decentralization 🗣

A DAO where pixels control millions 🖼
Meet Nouns DAO. One of the most unconventional DAOs in crypto!
Every day, they have an event — a unique NFT character called a Noun is minted. It’s a pixel guy with glasses and random attributes. The NFT goes to auction. The winner gets both the Noun and 1 vote in the DAO. The money from the sale goes to the community treasury. Starting from August 8, 2021, one new Noun has been minted and auctioned every day — and this process 👾
What does the DAO do with the money?
At its peak, the treasury held over $50M. All funds are controlled by Noun holders through voting. And here’s where they actually go:
— creation of cartoons and animations 🎬
— sponsorship of skateboarders, snowboarders, and even Olympians 🛹
— art events, exhibitions, and street art 🧑🎨
— educational Web3 projects 📚
— merch, toys, and tons of custom projects based on the Noun character 🧢
What’s the idea?
Nouns DAO is not about a tech project with a roadmap. It’s about how a community can become a brand and invest cultural weight into it 💎
The project has no whitepaper, no utility, and no goal to “10x” tokens. The goal is to spread the visual language of Nouns as a cultural phenomenon — and to do that by funding anything that resonates with their style
Maybe the strongest DAOs in crypto won’t be the ones with products — but the ones with culture? 💪
SYNDICATE TOURNAMENT #2 IS OVER. WHO MADE IT TO THE TOP? 🥇🍾
