* במשנה (קב ע"ב) נאמר ש"האומר לחבירו בית כור עפר אני מוכר לך, היו שם נקעים עמוקים 10 טפחים... אינן נמדדין עמה", ומסיק רב פפא בסוגייתנו שמדובר אף אם אין הם מלאים מים (והם כן ראויים לזריעה). (ובניגוד לדין המקדיש שדהו בשעת היובל).
* לדעת רבי יצחק: אם הנקעים פחותים מ-10 טפחים הם נמדדים עמה רק אם השטח של כולם ביחד אינו אלא עד 4 קבין. (ובתנאי שמפוזרים בשטח של חמשה קבין לדעת רב עוקבא בר חמא, ולדעת רבי יוחנן בתנאי שמפוזרים בשטח של רוב השדה).
