* רב ששת מביא ברייתא שממנה למד את שיטתו, אך אביי ורבא דחו את הבנתו זו בברייתא.
* הגמרא מקשה על רב ששת ממשנה במסכת נדה, ואח"כ דוחה את הקושיה.

* הגמרא פוסקת להלכה כמר בריה דרב יוסף משמיה דרבא בכל הדינים שהובאו בשמו: יש לעובר דין יורש (כרב ששת) ורק מחלק בכורה אינו ממעט, בן הנולד אחר מיתת אביו אינו ממעט מחלק בכורה, בכור הנולד לאחר מיתת אביו אינו נוטל פי שנים.
