Within the framework Project e-HKD+ Visa and ANZ plan to utilise a new tokenisation solution designed to help banks issue fiat-backed tokens in a sandbox environment to test a Delivery vs Payment (DvP) settlement use case, involving e-HKD and tokenised bank deposits.
What does it mean for us?
✨ The new tokenisation solution will be a great opportunity for blockchain & fintech builders to leverage the power of traditional Web2 financial market and the innovation of Web3 technologies.
If banks will start issuing their own fiat-backed tokens in on blockchains, there will be an option for Zima Bank to do the same opportunity for our customers!

[6/6] Web2 to Web3: Bridging Socio-Economic Process 🖇
The integration between these conditional areas was inevitable - it was just a matter of when, not if.
1⃣ In 2024, we can talk about the initial stage of mass adaptation of Web3 - ETFs and Regulations (like MiCa in Europe) are the indicators here. It is instructive to notice that previously, contact was limited by individual cases of Blockchain usage, now the edges are gradually blurring. Perhaps in a year or two we'll use different terms, currently distinguishing two mentioned types of Web.
2⃣ A separate point worth noting is the TON project, with it’s excellent community potential and gateway solutions to bring Telegram users to Web3 technologies. That’s the reason why Zima Bank decided to release a Banking App within Telegram.
3⃣ Based on all of the above, a special role is played by medium, which helps Web3 project adapt to the framework set externally by the “traditional world”, and on the other hand, continue to introduce Web2 companies to tools and opportunities from Web3.

Here’s an interesting tidbit: In the Bitcoin world, you won't hear the term "Layer 2." Instead, it’s all about "side chains." Zhixi Zhang from BOB emphasized this during a panel at the Bitcoin Hub Brussels. One of the most exciting developments in this area is the effort to connect Bitcoin with Ethereum ecosystem.
🖇 Yes, it’s complex, but it’s entirely possible, and teams are already working on it. The aim is to ensure Bitcoin doesn’t become an isolated network. Given its major role and growing acceptance by institutions, bridging Bitcoin with Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) environment opens up a world of possibilities. This integration would allow Bitcoin to support a wide range of dApps and smart contracts, making it even more versatile.The community is also eagerly awaiting new Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIPs) that promise to bring even more enhancements. These proposals are crucial for guiding Bitcoin’s future and ensuring it continues to innovate and lead in the blockchain space.

🎬 Without any doubt, everyone waited vividly for Vitalik's performance during AltLayer Conference. He emphasized the focus on goal which, in short, could be defined as: Users experience should be improved and simplified. „2015-era Ethereum-like experience with 2015-era fees, but with 2029-era UX quality and scale”.
1⃣ Ethereum is adopting ZK technology; and in the process of developing crypto-native encrypted+decentralised messaging. Our thoughts: great! but what about the alternative way? For instance, connection between Ethereum and TON with their user-base. In this precise case, we were happy to meet Kaavya Prasad and other representatives of Rabble Labs - the project among all is focusing on building a multi-chain telegram.
2⃣ Swiss bank are interested in Ethereum’s solutions. Swiss Bank’s representative asked Vitalik on how they could use Multisig solution in case of KYC.

Zima Bank has been licensed to start a new Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) company branched at Slovakia, granted from The Trade Register* of the Slovak Republic.

Zima Bank has officially launched the Beta version of our Telegram bank — @zimabank_tg_bot.
Implemented Features:
1. Registration in the personal area
2. Opening an IBAN account for individuals and legal entities
3. KYC verification and completing the bank questionnaire, including documents uploading
4. Referral program offering a 10% reward for inviting friends
5. Marketing tasks with point rewards exchangeable for airdrops
Importantly, Zima Bank was one of the first banks in the world to integrate KYC procedure through Sumsub into Telegram.

🛤The main JAM update is on the way! although we anticipate a wait of approximately 2-3 years. This timeframe will allow for a thorough comprehension and implementation of Dr. Gavin Wood's JAM proposal, founder of Polkadot and Solidity Creator. Seem’s like JAM (Join-accumulate machine) will allow users and DEVs to deploy almost everything.
📌 During the Polkadot Decoded Event; we were happy to observe Polkadot’s team approach to the issues of decentralization.
📌 We appreciate the perspective of Polkadot Treasury; where the community decides which project the ecosystem should support.
