📚 Improved Recommendation System Based On Book Texts 📚
We're constantly working on improving the functionality of our library. Today, we would like to introduce a new great feature — improved book recommendation system, that will allow you to discover many new and interesting books.
Previously, recommendations were solely based on user behavior. Over the many years of the project's existence, we've collected extensive statistics that allow us to build relevant book recommendations on different topics and languages. However, we recognized that this approach had its limitations, for example, it couldn't generate recommendations for rare or unpopular books.
To solve this problem, we developed our own technology to find similar texts among millions of books and implemented it in our recommendation blocks. Now, when generating recommendations, we take into account not only user behavior but also our unique text comparison technology. This means that when selecting books for recommendations, we analyze books content to provide you with more accurate and diverse suggestions. For example, the screenshot shows new book recommendations for an Arctic-related book.
Thanks to this improvement, you will be able to find books that truly match your interests and discover new captivating works that you might have missed. Try it now and explore new books! ✨

⚠️ We also remind you to beware of fraudulent websites when searching for Z-Library address on the internet.
Please avoid the following websites:
⛔️ z-lib[.] io
⛔️ z-lib[.] id
Be careful when clicking on links and make sure you are accessing Z-Library through our official domains — singlelogin.re, z-library.se.

Hey 👋
Today, we want to introduce you to the new functionality that has been implemented recently.
🔸 Book recommendations in search results. To ensure our users don't miss out on books that match their interests, we've implemented book recommendations in search results. Unlike other recommendation systems that build their recommendations based on search query matches in titles, our system performs better due to user behavior data. This makes our recommendations more relevant and enjoyable. Yes, sometimes the recommendations are not always 100% accurate, but we are working to improve them :) Just enter your search query on our website (singlelogin.re / z-library.se) and explore the book recommendations!
🔸 Book sorting option in booklists. In one of our posts where we talked about booklists and a new way of sorting them our users proposed many interesting suggestions for improving this section. One such suggestion was to make it possible to sort books in booklists. To avoid scrolling down to the bottom of the list for new books, you can now select the "New to Old" sort option, and recently added books will appear at the top of the list.
🔸 The "Read Online" button on the booklist page. We're currently working on a huge task - converting our entire collection into web-readable format, allowing each book to be read online directly in a browser. This means you don't have to download the file, and you don't waste your Internet traffic, especially when downloading large books. And at this moment, almost all PDF and DJVU files can be read online using the "Read Online" option (currently only available for ⭐️ Premium users)! We've also added this option to the book card on the booklist page, so you can read a PDF or DJVU book in your browser.
*We plan to add the Read Online option for all file formats in the near future! 🎉
Thank you all for your attention! In case you didn't know, we're currently running a Black Friday promotion until December 1st. Check out our website for details.
Are you familiar with booklists?
They are collections of books created by our users, assembled around various themes. For example,
🔹Maybe you would like to know more about the Victorian era?
🔹Or you are looking for educational books for your young children?
🔹Enjoy cooking and want to make make a dish from the movie?
We have many booklists in different languages and on all kinds of topics, such as language learning, tiny houses, sewing, programming, yoga, and much more. Use the search to find a collection that suits your tastes and save to favorites your preferred booklists for easy access. Also, we've recently added a feature that sends notifications for new books in your favorite booklists, so you'll always stay updated.
Our team has noticed that many of our users created over 50 booklists! So, to enhance your experience and make managing your booklists easier, we're introducing a new feature that allows you to color-code your booklists and sort them by color. To use it, just hover over your booklist and click on the 3-dot button (booklist menu), then choose "Change color".
To conclude, we want to thank our community for creating such interesting booklists! If you have any ideas on how to improve the booklists section, feel free to leave a comment here or email us at support@z-lib.se :)
It's been a little over 10 days since we announced the launch of new project – the global library of paper books. We are thrilled to report that our Z-Points have already begun receiving the first contributions of books from our community. We cannot express enough how grateful we are for your faith in our budding project and your generosity in sharing your books. Your support means the world to us!
As of today, we opened 26 new Z-Points, raising the total number of accessible Z-Points to 44 established in 23 countries (https://zlibrary-global.se/inter-library) across the globe. These include 🇦🇷 Argentina, 🇦🇺 Australia, 🇦🇹 Austria, 🇧🇴 Bolivia, 🇧🇫 Burkina Faso, 🇨🇦 Canada, 🇨🇳 China, 🇪🇬 Egypt, 🇪🇹 Ethiopia, 🇫🇷 France, 🇮🇳 India, 🇮🇩 Indonesia, 🇮🇷 Iran, 🇮🇹 Italy, 🇰🇪 Kenya, 🇲🇽 Mexico, 🇲🇩 Moldova, 🇳🇬 Nigeria, 🇷🇴 Romania, 🇷🇺 Russia, 🇿🇦 South Africa, 🇸🇸 South Sudan, 🇺🇸 USA.
If you're interested in becoming a part of this literary project and are ready to host a Z-Point, we'd love to hear from you! You don't need a lot of space; even a simple bookshelf in your home is enough to store books. Please reach out to us at support@z-lib.se if you're interested.
We also encourage you to spread the word about our global library of paper books among your friends. The participation and help of the community is very important to us, as this is the only way we can make Z-Points work efficiently around the world.
On another note, we're excited to announce that we launched our fall fundraising campaign on September 15. Over the past few months, we've been working tirelessly to improve our library and expand our services. In addition to launching the global paper library project, we've also introduced a desktop application, the Send-to-PocketBook option, and much more. We will be extremely thankful for every dollar that will be donated.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support!
⚠️ During the franchising period, email response times from our support team may increase. We're striving to respond promptly.
Dear Z-Librarians,
As you may have noticed, our library has been through significant updates in the last few months. It's been a time of growth and evolution, as we've worked tirelessly to improve library accessibility and service stability. However, behind the scenes, we're continue facing a tremendous amount of pressure from the FBI.
In November of last year, two alleged participants in the project were arrested in Argentina at the request of the United States and still remain imprisoned for almost a year. Their detention occurred without compliance with legal norms and with numerous procedural violations. For example, a court sanction for arrest has been issued after the arrest. This situation has not only affected them personally but has also been a significant blow to our project - the Z-Library.
Today, we are calling on you, our community to stand with us in our fight for the Z-Library project. This project represents more than just a platform; it's a gateway to knowledge for people all over the world.
We are launching a petition https://www.change.org/zlibrary2023 to restore access to Z-Library and stop the illegal criminal prosecution. Your signature can make a world of difference.
By signing the petition, you're not only supporting our cause, but you're also helping to ensure that the Z-Library project remains available to people worldwide. Furthermore, we urge you to spread the word about this petition. Share it on your social networks, discuss it with your friends, and encourage them to sign it. Every signature counts, and every share expands the reach of our cause.
‼️ Please follow this link https://www.change.org/zlibrary2023 and sign the petition (after signing, check your email inbox to confirm your signature). It will only take two minutes of your time, but will greatly help the Z-Library project.‼️
⚠️ Our website may be running slowly due to ongoing internal improvements. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience during this time!

⚠️Many of you have noticed that our website has been experiencing instability in the last few days, including registration problems and issues with email delivery.
The fact is that we have been under a massive attack by bots during this time, and our team has been working diligently to address the consequences of these attacks. We have also blocked accounts that were registered using temporary emails and exhibited suspicious activity.
If your account is listed as "deleted," please email us at support@z-lib.se and we will assist you in resolving the issue.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Hello Z-Library community,
We have added "Share" buttons to our website, making it easier for you to share Z-Library with your friends on social media. Feel free to use them!
Everyone who shares a link to Z-Library on his public blog, channel, or social media account (it must be publicly accessible) and sends us support@z-lib.se the link to that post, will get 🏅Premium status for 1 month.
‼️ Please don't share the link in the comments section of this channel. All links posted in the comments will be deleted.
Thank you for being a part of the Z-Library community and for your continued support! 🤗
Dear community,
We want to remind you to be cautious when searching for Z-Library on Google, as there are currently several unsafe and fraudulent websites appearing at the top of the search results. These websites may steal your personal information and compromise your security.
Please avoid the following websites:
⛔️ zlibrary[.]to
⛔️ z-lib[.]is
⛔️ z-lib[.]id
⛔️ z-lib[.]io
Be careful when clicking on links and make sure you are accessing Z-Library through our official domain — singlelogin.re and singlelogin.se (singlelogin.me was seized).
Thank you for your attention and please stay safe while browse the internet.
What inspires our Team the most? Our users sometimes send us very touching stories about how Z-Library has influenced their lives, helped them with their studies or work, changed their attitude toward reading books, and more. Such stories contain so much positive energy, and we want to share it with the community. So we are now developing a web page that will collect the best stories from our users.
And we invite you to share your story with us! If you have a story about how our library has helped you achieve success, find a new job, or even changed your life, please send it to our email support@z-lib.se
We would also be grateful if you could attach a photo, for example, with the wishes for Z-Library written on the paper. You could choose an interesting background for the photo: your book collection, the cover of your favorite book, or your beloved cat :) As mentioned earlier, the best stories will be published on our website.
Your stories motivate us to continue developing the project and moving forward. We appreciate every user and look forward to hearing your story!
We want to announce that we're starting work on a new service for exchanging paperback books between users. Books you have read should not gather dust on your shelf – instead, they can get a second life in the hands of new readers! This helps to preserve the literary heritage and spread the knowledge and ideas contained in books to more people.
_______________________________________________________________
But how can we make the process of exchanging books between users from around the world as simple, safe, and efficient as possible? To solve this problem, we want to organize "Z-Points" – collection and storage points for books that will be the link between those who share their books and those who need them. Book owners who are willing to share them with other users can send books to the nearest Z-Point in their region. And those who need books stored in these points will be able to receive them for their use.
What is a "Z-Point" and what functions does it perform?
🔹Receiving books sent by contributors through postal delivery
🔹Keeping records of the books received. We will make this process as simple as possible – it will be enough to simply upload a photo of each received book or scan its bar code (ISBN code)
🔹Long-term storage of received books (some books may not be in demand for years, and that's okay)
🔹Sending books to those who requested them
Our goal is to organize dozens of "Z-Points" around the world, and we need your help to do this. If you are ready to perform the functions of a "Z-Point" or know how to organize their work, please contact us. What are we looking for?
🔸Public or university libraries that can perform the functions of a "Z-Point"
🔸Services (fulfillment, 3PL, etc.) that can take on the work of receiving, sorting, and sending books
🔸People who are ready to personally organize or carry out the activities of a "Z-Point"
Can you help or have any ideas? Write to us at support@z-lib.se with the subject line "Z-Point".

Sad news! Yesterday a large number of our domains were seized again. We should highlight that the majority of the seized domains were not mirrors of the Z-Library website, but they were separate sub-projects, containing only books in rare languages of the world, and their blocking is confusing. For instance, these domains included books in Tamil, Mongolian, Catalan, Urdu, Pashto, and other languages.
Over the 15 years of the project's existence, we've managed to collect an impressive collection of rare texts in many uncommon languages. These domains featured many unique texts that can't be found anywhere else, including rare books, documents, and manuscripts. All of this is a priceless heritage, contributing to the preservation and study of world cultures, and serving as important material for researchers in linguistics, anthropology, and history.
Moreover, we didn't just collect texts, but created unique tools for working with them, allowing researchers to quickly find the necessary information and study texts on a deeper level.
For example, we have extracted text layers from 100,000,000 files, including OCR recognition, and now anyone can use our full-text search in any language. Or we have converted millions of files for the possibility of online reading. Such tasks require 1000 CPU cores over many long months and cost a great deal of money (donated by you, thank you for your support ❤️)
After the mass blocking of our domains last year, we specifically separated texts in rare languages into separate sub-projects, so that researchers wouldn't lose access to this unique material. However, as we can see, this didn't help. We don't understand what relation the USA or FBI has to Bashkir or Tamil books, and why these resources are blocked.
Nevertheless, we think it's important to inform you about what's happening. We want to thank everyone who supports the project in this challenging time. Please don't forget to sign our petition to restore access to Z-Library and stop the illegal criminal prosecution.
Starting off with a huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported our project during the fall fundraising drive! Your support is invaluable and your donations help us continue our work and keep you happy with new features.
📚 A month ago we announced the Global Paper Book Library (InterLibrary) and now we have 130 Z-Points in 40 countries! You can check out the full list and find the nearest Z-Point here https://zlibrary-global.se/inter-library. Our goal is to build a global library of paper books accessible to people around the world.
🚀 Today, we are taking another step towards this goal and opening the possibility for all users to register their paper books in our system. For this purpose, we've developed a special interface (https://zlibrary-global.se/books-offline) where you can register your paper books that you are willing to share. You'll need your mobile phone to take a photo of the book cover, scan the barcode, and fill in basic info (in case our system can't do it automatically). So all your books will be listed in our system.
⚠️ Please bear in mind, this is not a fully completed feature, but a step towards facilitating book exchanges between users. We're planning to introduce a mechanism for exchanging books and user contacts soon. Despite this, you can already register your books in the InterLibrary system.
📖 However, we don't forget our online library! We've added a "Send-to-PocketBook" feature that enables you to send files directly to your PocketBook device. Moreover, we've consolidated all the options for sending books to devices into a single "Send To" button.
📧 To make sure you stay updated with new intriguing books and events on the website, we've incorporated notifications for the new books in your favorite booklists and responses to your comments. And to allow you to manage these email notifications, we've added a setting in your Edit Profile.
🖥 Our work on enhancing the desktop application is ongoing, and we've now developed a portable version for Windows (available for download here https://go-to-zlibrary.se/#desktop_app_tab). Furthermore, updates for other OS are set to be released shortly.
Thanks for reading! For any questions, please email us at support@z-lib.se :)
We're excited to announce the launch of a project we've been hinting about in our previous post: our book exchange initiative. This project has grown beyond our initial concept of a simple book exchange and has evolved into a global library of paper books. Our ultimate goal is to connect readers worldwide and make literature accessible to everyone, regardless of location or financial constraints.
The project will be launched in several stages:
In the current (first) stage, we start gathering books over the world. If you have books that you no longer need or simply wish to share your literary collection, please send them to our designated literary hubs, known as Z-Points https://zlibrary-global.se/inter-library There, we carefully store books, digitize them (if the laws of a particular country allow), and then send them to users and educational institutions in need.
Within the next month, we will introduce an interface that allows users to add their paper books to our system without sending them to Z-Point. This will also give the possibility to exchange books between users directly. So we will have 2 ways to exchange books - through Z-Point and directly between users. If you need to send a bunch of books because you are moving or just want to donate many books, it would be better to send them to our library fund via Z-Point.
We currently have Z-Points open in 11 countries, but we know that is not enough to reach our goal. If anyone wants to be part of this project and is ready to organize a Z-Point in their area, please contact us via email support@z-lib.se (all you need is a place to receive, store and then send the books to users). We would be delighted to have you on board :)
In conclusion, we believe that books are not just pages and ink, they are portals to different worlds, ideas, and perspectives. By sharing our books, we share our knowledge, our stories, and our hearts. We invite you to join us in this venture to support a culture of reading around the world!
It's been some time since our last update! We've been busily working on developing new features (including an upcoming app for our book swap service) and enhancing our current functionalities. Today, we want to share our simple yet handy extension for Firefox browser. Once you install this extension, it will help you access our available domain with just a single click. We highly recommend you to install our extension in your browser:

Additionally, we have added IPFS hash to download books, you can find it in the dropdown menu of the Download button.

Introducing the alpha version of our desktop launcher for Windows, macOS & Linux! 🚀
Our team has been working hard to improve accessibility to our library, and this launcher will save you the trouble of searching for a working website link, handling everything for you. Plus, it can operate over the TOR network, ensuring you'll always have access to the library while maintaining your privacy. As a bonus, users accessing the library through the desktop app get a 1-month premium membership! Currently, this is just a launcher, but we plan to develop it into a full-fledged desktop application soon ✨
Forget about searching for available domains and remembering your personal domains, just install our desktop launcher:
⬇️ Download Z-Library desktop app
⚠️ Please note that since it's an alpha version, some issues may occur.
⚠️ Upon the first launch of the application, you may encounter a warning message regarding an unverified developer. This is expected, as we don't yet have a Developer account on these platforms.
A new version of our Android app is also available now!
We have improved the app's stability, added operation over the TOR network, and introduced multiple authorization methods (using a QR code or a token found on the Z-Access page). Please remember to delete the old version of the app before installing the new one.

Worldwide Statistics: How Students and Educators Use Z-Library
It's no secret that the most active users of our library are students and staff from various universities. We wanted to learn more about this and have collected statistics showing which educational institutions use Z-Library and how they use it.
How did we separate one university user from another? For data collection and analysis, we decided to rely on the domain zone where users' email addresses are located. For example, an email like "*@utoronto.ca" allows us to assume with a high degree of confidence that this is an employee or student of the University of Toronto.
During the collection of statistics, we discovered that Z-Library is currently used by more than 600,000 students and teachers from over 30,000 educational institutions (universities, colleges, and schools) worldwide! These values, and the numbers in the graphs are a low estimate since not all users give their university email addresses when registering. However, the obtained statistics should be relatively accurate. Also, due to the large number of users from China, we decided to combine the largest universities of this country into one line. *We highlighted Taiwan due to the significant number of our users located there. There are no political reasons involved.
P.S. It should be noted that when compiling statistics, we excluded all data related to the United States due to illegal arrest of two Russian citizens on suspicion of involvement in Z-Library. However, despite the pressure exerted by the FBI, we strive to continue our work and hope that an increasing number of universities will continue to use Z-Library in their educational activities!
Unfortunately, one of our primary login domains was seized today. Therefore, we recommend using the domain singlelogin.re to log in to your account, as well as to register. Please share this domain with others.
You can also restore access to your account or create a new one using our magic email address. Just send any letter from your mailbox to this email blackbox@zlib.se, and you will receive your personal access to Z-Library in the auto-generated letter within 3–5 minutes.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience 🙏
P.S. TOR and I2P networks are still accessible.
After our story about plans to create an exchange service for paper versions of books, we received a huge number of responses and valuable comments regarding this idea. Thank you for such active feedback! Among the comments, there were a large number of questions and criticisms, which we have addressed and will try to answer now.
1. Why do we need Z-Point at all when you can arrange book exchanges directly between users?
The vast majority of book exchange services work so that the interaction between those who are willing to share a book and those who request it happens directly. This is easier in terms of implementation, but in many cases doesn't work. For example, you may move from one apartment to another and have nowhere to put your books. Or you have many books that you are willing to share, but you don't want to spend your time communicating with those who need them, and sending them one by one. Z-Point is convenient as it takes care of all the problems with processing, categorizing, storing, and sending books to those who need them. Nevertheless, we will also provide a tool for direct book exchange between users, bypassing Z-Points.
2. Is shipping books expensive?
As more Z-Points open, the cheaper book shipping will be. For example, instead of sending books one by one from Germany to Indonesia (which is very expensive), Z-Points can collect many books from Germany into one package and send them to a Z-Point in Indonesia, where they can be picked up by end users. This should significantly reduce delivery costs.
3. Is this legal?
Absolutely. The exchange of paper books between users is absolutely legal. It is important to emphasize that the entire process is transparent and legal.
4. The era of paper books has long passed. Why is this needed at all?
Despite the fact that we live in the digital age, little compares to the pleasure of reading a paper book. Moreover, many books are still not digitized and exist exclusively in paper form. And no one has canceled the zombie apocalypse, so who knows how long we will still have the internet and electricity? :)
5. Why not focus on digitizing and scanning books instead of sending them by mail?
You can digitize the received books at your own risk. However, we cannot scan and copy books at Z-Points, as this is illegal.
6. How is this scheme different from LittleFreeLibrary, BookMooch, or BookCrossing?
All of the above services are trying to solve the same problem. The main difference is how conveniently and effectively they do it. We believe that our approach will take book exchanging to a new level, making it more global and accessible.
7. Great! When will the service be available?
Believe us, we want to launch the project as soon as possible, but this is a big project, so please be patient. We hope that in the next 3 months we will be able to launch an application for bookkeeping, as well as organizing the first test Z-Points.
As you know, some of our domains remain blocked in several countries. To solve this problem, we have sent out unique personal domains to our users, which in theory are far less prone to blocking. But we didn't stop there! Today, we offer the possibility of creating an account or restoring access to an existing one through a special email address.
How does it work? Just send any letter from your mailbox to our magic email address blackbox@zlib.se, and you will receive your personal access to Z-Library in the auto-generated letter within 3–5 minutes. So simple!
This might be useful if:
● You haven't received or lost your personal domains.
● You forgot your account password and want to restore access.
● You want to create a new account.

We also want to tell you that our spring fundraising is still active (ends April 1st), and if you wish to support us, we would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you so much for your attention and for using our library!
Dear Community,
Our Team continues work on restoring full access to the library. However, there may still be some problems with connection from 🇨🇳 China and 🇫🇷 France. For these users, we suggest using VPN or TOR browser.
Also, please note that Support response time may be increased up to 1–2 days due to the large number of emails. We work hard to make the library accessible to everyone!
Our recent updates (January):
🔹Personal Telegram bot
Bot is a fast and convenient way to download books. And now our users can get and configure their own personal bot. To do this visit our library website > Edit Profile or click on the bot icon at the bottom of the website page.
🔹New recommendations section
Now recommendations can be issued based on any booklist and your favorites list, which you are free to make on your own. This feature opens the potential for search of the appropriate books depending on your interests or area of expertise.
🔹Say “Thank you” option
New books appear in the library thanks to the efforts of our users - uploaders, moderators, and proof-readers. And now you have the option to thank them and send a "Thank you" message with your feedback right from the book page. They'll be delighted to get feedback from the community!
🔹New main menu
Meet the new main menu! We expect it to make the library structure clearer and the navigation easier. If you believe the old menu was better, you might just have been with us for a long time and got used to it. Give yourself a chance to get accustomed to the new menu, and we are sure you are going to love it.
🔹Comments to booklists
The new booklist commenting option is a bridge between readers and the booklist author. Readers can share their thoughts about a booklist and receive a feedback from the author in return. This will make the booklists even better!
